This is a great convenient hotel just over the bridge from Duluth. Older hotel, but clean with great pool area with hot tub, and sauna. Free breakfast was fair. My kid enjoyed watching the pancake machine do it's thing. Second time staying here. More affordable than Duluth hotels. Super convenient to hwy on ramp to get back over the bridge to MN.

Pool bottom was filthy same for hot tub. So bad I couldn’t even put my toes in !

Checking on was ok, but we discovered the pool was closed for the kids. The pool was the only reason we booked this hotel. Unfortunate.

Nice place good pool. No elevator

Nice, inexpensive (in the area) hotel. Pool was warm, which was nice. Little disappointed that the jets in the hot tub didn't work (stayed for the hot tub because we were sore after a day of helping people move). Shower had great water pressure and the rooms were clean and comfortable. Breakfast was pretty simple.

Great staff, large room size for 4 of us, tasty and well supplied breakfast, nice size pool and hot tub with generous schedule.

The hotel was very clean. Everything was in great working order. The pool and hot tub were the perfect temperature. I definitely would stay there again.

The room was large! The pool was actually at a great temp-not freezing cold. They also have a great hot tub and sauna. Breakfast was minimal. Location is good kind of out of the way but easy access to the highway. Will definitely be staying again.

The room was clean and updated and the beds were super comfy. The staff were helpful and courteous and breakfast was good. The only downside is the pool area. The hot tub was disgustingly dirty as it feels like there is sand under your feet. It needs a good scrubbing with bleach. It also just seems like a big bathtub as the jets do not have much pressure. I would stay again definitely for the room but wouldn’t venture into the hot tub again.

The hotel was ok the beds were not the best and the pillows gave little support. Pool would of been great except the sauna wasn't hot the hot tub had very little jets that were working. Pool was warm though and spacious. I have been to many hotels and know never to bring glass to the pool but at this place you were not allowed to bring any drink to the pool side and was told rudely by the employee working of such rule. We were the only ones in the pool at the time. Also not allowed to bring towels from pool pack to room so dripping water all over carpet when returning to room. Also no elevator so many trips up and down stairs when loading and unloading vehicle.

The room and bathroom were very dirty. Lots of things splattered on the walls and floors. Very dusty. I brought cleaning wipes and wiped down a lot of dirt.

Blood on comforter and sheets like some one had shot up in there. Got new ones had to make my own bed. Hot tub didn’t work. Sketchy people roaming around outside.

It was supposed to be a non-smoking room, but it had a strong smoke odor. I reported it to customer service, and they only provided a spray for the room.

The bed was noisy and lumpy. Room had ants.

Very clean, updated, good hot breakfast. Staff very friendly and welcoming. Larger than normal fridge in the room. Some construction nearby, but never heard and work. Booked it again!

We reserved two rooms - one room had a dirty toilet with urine on the toilet seat. The other room has an a/c unit full of mold on the vents. The refrigerator was also grimy with fingerprints.

The room was very clean and spacious. The clerk when we checked in was very nice and helpful. The entire building was very clean and well taken care of

Hotel lobby has a strong odor of smoke even though it’s said to be non-smoking. It could use some updates.

Room was spacious. It had a smell to it but not unbearable. The bed was very soft and had a bed protector that made a sound when you moved that was annoying. The sheets did not stay tucked in. Your toilets were so small and short.

The TV didn't work

Okay place to stay but you could hear everything. People talking in the hallway was crystal clear. Doubt I will ever stay here again.

Great stay. We had a very large room with king bed and pull out sofa which was great. Two tv’s and sink in and outside of bathroom. Breakfast was simple, danish, fruit, yogurt but good. Lots of flavors and creamers to add to coffee which was awesome. Pool was very warm and had great hot tub and sauna. Enjoyed all three and was very quiet in pool area. Host was very attentive when we needed extra bedding! Great location. Would definitely stay here again.

I booked the hotel after reading all the good reviews and ratings. However, the hotel was nothing like advertised. Both mine and my coworker’s rooms smelt like mildew. My hotel room also had a faint smell of cigarettes, even though the rooms had a no smoking sign. The crevices of the bathroom floor had a layer of grime. Also, the wifi in the rooms did not work the whole time I was there. I was in town for work but could not work out of my hotel room. When I called the front desk about it, they said they don’t know how to fix the wifi. I also called hotels.com’s customer service and they said they couldn’t do anything on their end because my reservation was nonrefundable.

After driving several hours we checked into room 215 and intended to nap and watch tv before going out for the evening. Our tv kept turning itself off and i was going to call the front desk but there was no phone in the room so i went down to complain about the tv. The front desk clerk said they get complaints about that tv "all the time" so she was going to switch our room. We ended up moving next door to room 217 and had no issue with the tv. In the late afternoon there was a group of people going down the hall demanding to know who owned a black ford escape which apparently was blocking their vehicle. I told them "not us" but recalled the front desk didn't ask for our car info at check in. Maybe they should do that. Anyway, we went to bed around 9:45 and i woke up at 10:30 to someone knocking (pounding) on the door. My husband is a deep sleeper so i got up and asked who it was (I was not about to open the door)! She said it was the front desk and the room i was in, 217, was not occupied. I reminded her that my reservation had been switched because of the tv and also she was violating the Do Not Disturb sign i had hanging from my doorknob. I heard a weak "sorry" before she left and then i had to try resume sleeping while burning off adrenaline. Their front desk should not blame guests for their own errors when it comes to registration. Unbelievable!

This hotel was lovely, and the staff kind and helpful.

I was very excited to stay here but was very quickly disappointed. The lobby and pool were nice and clean. But when we returned to the room after the pool, things went downhill fast. The water in our room was either burning hot or freezing cold. I spent 20 minutes desperately trying to get it to be reasonable enough to stand under with no luck. My boyfriend went to speak with the front desk so I could at least get my dirty clothes back on. The employee told him he couldnt move us, couldnt fix the issue, and said he didnt want to but would come look at the issue. He "fixed" the water (he got it luke warm but it was coming out of both the shower head and faucet) and left. As soon as I got shampoo in my hair, the same issue began again. I ended up filling the ice bucket with cold and hot water until it was safe to pour on myself and showering that way. They moved our room for our second night, but this felt completely unacceptable for a place I paid to stay at. None of the employees showed any care or concern for the fact that we had an issue. It felt like they would rather not speak to us. When we approached the front desk in the morning after the shower incident, one of the front desk employees started shouting at us that the pool wasnt open yet (we were not dressed for the pool) before we even got to the desk, as if their goal was to avoid engaging with us. None of the morning people even asked us what the issue was. I would not recommend.

The hotel was clean, but found out there was no elevator for the second floor. We requested 1st floor rooms, so that did not affect us. The breakfast was good, but the breakfast attendant was not able to keep up with the demand. Empty coffee air pots, pancake machine ran out of batter and was not refilled for 15 minutes. The biggest issue was Saturday night starting around 10:20pm. We were in bed when there was a knock on the door. I put clothes on to answer the door. It was the Superior Fire Department. He advised me we needed to evacuate the building due to high carbon monoxide levels. I closed the door and woke my wife to explain we need to leave the room. There was no organized evacuation; no name or room number taken by the hotel or the fire department. I could have stayed in the room, and nobody would have known. We left the building and sat in our car for an hour. I finally got out of the car and approached a fire man. I asked for an update, and he explained the high CO levels were caused by a water heater near our room. I asked if we were going to be able to return to our rooms. He replied we could go back in now, because the water heater was shut down. If I had not talked to him, we would not have known we could return to our rooms. There was still a CO reading in our rooms and were advised to leave the exhaust fan on and window open. We were also informed there would be no hot water. The hotel still charged us 50% of the fee for the room. The Mgr. was not helpful.

Very quiet and very nice staff. Worth staying here again!

Room was clean and nicely organized. Unfortunately with having a bad back I found the beds to be a little soft. The staff at the front desk were very helpful and considerate. Check in and Check out were flawless.

Right on the edge of the main road. Fast going anywhere in the area.

Hotel is right by Highway, lot of noise from traffic.

Hotel was clean and quiet. Staff very friendly and helpful. Easy access to US 2.

Nice facilities. Clean and well kept. Friendly staff. Large parking area. Accessibility to/from major thoroughfares is excellent which leads to my only complaint. The noise from passing traffic continues through the night. No need for an alarm since the noise really increases around 5:30 am.

This a very nice stay for 1-2 nights in Duluth area. If you want value for your $. This is great option when Duluth hotels are sky high during events. Definitely stay here again. The area is nothing fancy. Quick in and out to Duluth.

This was an excellent place to stay. Near all the attractions in the Duluth Area.

When we drove into the neighborhood I was a bit troubled. The area looked run down and if in a major city I would have been more than troubled. Then we came to the hotel which was not what I expected in the neighborhood. It was clean, extremely well kept, fantastic staff who were friendly and helpful night and morning. The pool and hot tub were clean and the pool area was pleasant. On a 14 day road trip this is probably the most surprising and pleasant stop we made. The Chinese restaraunt nearby was fabulous

Very friendly staff . The location is perfect location between Duluth , MN and Superior, WI.

Area around the hotel seems a little sketchy at night. Otherwise it was quiet and the bed comfortable. Great price as well on a busy fall weekend. Breakfast could have a few more options but was grateful it was there. I will be back!

The room was very comfortable. We had decided to stay a second night . The breakfast would of been good if the gal kept it supplied enough for the amount of people that were coming through.

Area was rundown and limited restaurant

Staff was excellent. Rooms could use some upgrades. Breakfast was all processed foods mostly with some fruits. All day coffee in the commons was nice. Pool area is comfortable.

Slow check in… not as fast as others. But front end lady was nice. Breakfast is very simple, wish there was hot items such as eggs, sausage, or bacon. Room is decent.

Breakfast was typical hotel breakfast. It was confusing because the signs said breakfast was served until 10, but they were closing up breakfast at 9. No one seemed to know end of breakfast time. Otherwise, the pool was fun for the kids. Great stay for a couple of nights.

It was close to Duluth for Bentleyville. They offer Heggies until 2am and breakfast was good.

We asked for handicap. We did receive first floor. The air conditioning on high cool when first arrived-9pm. It was cold in room. We turned heat on- there is no regulation on cooling or heating- so then hot in room. The beds are very firm, hard on back. The breakfast was wonderful all items- scrambled eggs, sausage, biscuits & gravy, waffles, cereal, juices, coffee, etc. That was the very best breakfast served. Area is in a quiet area.

A good, comfortable and reasonably priced hotel. Clean and convenient for my business needs. Great staff, nice breakfast offering and vending!

Breakfast was disappointing. No eggs or meat. Paid $160 for one night and it wasn’t worth the price.
