Quality Inn Harpers Ferry - Charles Town

Decent room, but no elevator. Complimentary breakfast was good, but mini bagels cannot go in toaster. Housekeeping routine should be clearer, we needed to get fresh towels from front desk.

The front desk staff was very nice and helpful. The complimentary breakfast was adequate and convenient. The parking lot is pretty rough- crumbly, garbage by the staircase. The bathroom is a little mildewy around the toilet base and bathtub caulk. There was a small gym but no pool. The laundry machine is ok- $3.50 for washer and $3.50 for dryer with a card, and the soap is another $2 all in quarters. I mean, it’s a Quality Inn in West Virginia, so, you know what you’re getting.

6 of us stayed in 3 rooms on a bike trip to Harpers Ferry. We were able to wash down our bikes outside and keep them in our rooms. The bed was comfortable. Breakfast was good. The only down side was weak internet.

There are not too many hotels to choose from in Harper’s Ferry but for an over night stay it was okay. i don’t know how this hotel got an excellent rating. The hotel was clean but it can use a remodel. The lobby furniture and outdoor couch need to be replaced. There is no elevator so we had to carry all our things up the stairs. The parking lot is narrow and small. The hotel was full and several people had a hard time getting into a parking space. I wish we chose the Clarion down the road instead. The Clarion had a nice lobby with fireplace, restaurant, bar and lots of parking. Plus a better rate.

Comfortable bed. Clean room. Good shower. Better breakfast than any other hotel I've stayed at on this trip. Convenient location right off US 340. Parking lot access is a little tricky and some of the spaces are difficult, but it is well-lit. No elevator to the second floor.

The property is cyclist-friendly for through-cyclist on the C&O canal. The hotel provided a bike wash station and towels to clean off trail dust. Breakfast began early enough to allow cyclist to get an early morning start.

Great place to stay while traveling. Parking lot was well lit. Evening staff was amazing!

It was in a convenient location. It was near my daughter's house, but also near major highways, grocery stores, the Appalachian Trail, and other points of interest . The room was well appointed with a large tv, refrigerator, microwave and coffee maker. There were plenty of clean towels and soap. Shaved ice and coffee were always available. The free breakfast was quite good. It had more than the usual mini bagels, juice, and coffee. There was a pancake maker, egg patties, sausage patties , biscuits, cereals, clementines and yogurt. There was a small fitness center with a treadmill and weights. The downside, which I don't particularly care about, was that some things could have been upgraded. For example, the sink in my bathroom was cracked and repaired, not replaced. Also, there was the potential of some noise from the neighbors-- not really sound proof room. But, all in all, it was a really good deal for the money.

Great basic hotel for staying in Harper's Ferry, walkable to the town. Friendly staff and useful bike wash area at parking racks at the hotel - they even had a small towel for drying my bike! Free basic breakfast. For one night whilst biking the trails, was perfect!

The Quality in was easy to get in and out but watch out they steep driveway and it’s really hard to see on coming traffic left or right when you exit. The room was okay but the windows and screen were filled with bugs and spider webs. Air units and windows are probably still original from day 1. Staff was great and helpful.

The hotel staff was wonderful. Did find a live roach in our room & the wifi was non existent but other than that we had a nice stay

There was a hair in my bathtub and it was not mine. The internet service was poor. The breakfast was the worst breakfast ever. The room smell awful like stain smoke or mold. When I went to check out I asked for a receipt they printed out the one that was not the price but what expedia

The bathroom was unclean and stained. It is possible to walk from the property to historic Lower Town, but you’d probably not want to at night, since a significant portion of the walk involves no sidewalks or street lighting.

Clean pleasant room, soft sheets and mattress. I'll certainly be staying here again on next trip to Harpers Ferry.

Bug found in bed under cover. Took picture searched online returned as stage of bed bug.. Didnt stay left immediately.

We enjoyed the walkability to Harper’s Ferry and absolutely loved the nearby Bolivar Bakery. The hotel itself is average at best. It is older and looks as you would expect. It seemed clean overall, but the walls are thin (our neighbor snored all night). Look out for the electrical outlets :/

The room was nice, but I'd request one on the parking lot side next time. Those 18 wheelers coming down the mountain are not quiet....

This was my second time at this hotel/motel. Like the first stay, the room was clean with lots of clean towels in the bathroom. All of the rooms have a good size refrigerator so you can empty your cooler for the night. The ice maker in the lobby works so you can add a little ice to your cooler in the morning. After a good nights sleep, soap and shampoo are provided for your shower. The free breakfast is really good. There is something for everybody there. There is a waffle maker, a buffet with egg patties, sausage patties,great bisquits and gravy. If you don't like any of that there are mini danish,mini bagels, yogurt, cold cereal, hot cereal, apples or oranges,apple juice, orange juice and , of course hot water for tea or coffee. On the down side,this motel, like all other motels like it,could be a little noisy due to the basic construction of it.However, the front desk, both stays, did a good job of spacing out the tenants so that the noise factor was little or none, quite unlike a Motel 8 that i stayed at in Leominster, Mass where me and my neighbors could share conversations through the paper thin walls. On this second stay the AC/heating unit was a little bit noisier than the first stay but still in the acceptable range, once again, quite unlike the Motel 8 wher the AC was very noisy and I had to run the AC on max so that I could get the room cold enough so that I could shut the beast off when I went to sleep.

The room is spacious, clean, comfortable bed, good service. We love the breakfast. The employees were very nice

We were very impressed by the person working the front desk and how nice our room was. The only down side was the noise coming from the roadway that seemed to be just feet from our room. It was so noisy, even over my ear plugs! The parking lot was very tight, especially if you arrived late. Also, there was no elevator which made it difficult to get our 3 pieces of luggage up the steps.

Needs new windows. Too much noise from road

Property is a little older, but not run down. The room was very clean. WiFi wasn't very good.

From the time I arrived, I was greeted with a smile. The hotel staff is incredibly friendly! I got a room with two Queen beds and let me tell you.....the beds are really comfy. Everything in the room was updated and fresh, making the room warm and inviting. Their continental breakfast is as good as, if not better than hotel chains I have stayed st.

Clean, up to date, quiet, friendly staff, good bfast. My only suggestion would be to offer a shuttle to the old town area. We chose this hotel thinking it was close enough to walk but it’s really not feasible as it’s along a highway and would not be a great walk in the dark after dinner.

Perfect location for a 2 day trip to Harper's Ferry, WV. Free coffee and breakfast. Walk one mile into lower town. Lots of restaurants and cafes in the area.

It looks a little dull on the outside but, on the inside, the rooms are spacious, clean, and modern. The rooms have everything you need and the beds are comfy. The staff that I met were wonderful! They allowed me to check in early since there were rooms available and gave me one with a mountain view. Breakfast had plenty of choices. In addition, this hotel is less than a mile from town so I was able to walk there since the weather was so nice. I’d definitely stay again!

The hotel is undergoing renovations and visiting Harper’s Ferry in winter may have been a mistake. There were 6 guests total staying in the hotel. Breakfast was inedible. Stale bagels and muffins, expired yogurt and barely warm coffee. House keeping only comes once a week at this time. After complaining, a very nice staff person made coffee and brought a bag of tangerines from the kitchen. We hope things will change after the renovation but we probably will not stay again.

I would definitely stay at this Quality Inn again. The property was clean, and the staff was very welcoming. The continental breakfast was perfect for our group before we left for our workshop.
