Checking in I told the owner I had a bike & she gave me a disk to put under the kickstand. I said I don't need it because of the sidecar & she said she used to ride in one. Then she told me there is a bike wash area with hose, bucket, soap and rags. The room was nice with enough outlets to charge all our devices. I was given a map of Yellowstone and the time to get to various places explained. I was told of the shoot out at the Irma Hotel. If I go to Cody again I will definitely stay here again.

The owners and all employees were helpful. The room was clean and quiet. The layout of the property was friendly and functional. We enjoyed the BBQ grill and picnic table, where we made a tasty steak to enjoy while on our trip.

You never know about smaller, older motels. I was so pleasantly surprised. Spotless inside. Nice decor, a kurig, working ice machine, laundry facility, a covered pavillion, access to grill, lit wagon wheel light above. Nice place to hang out, just steps from any room. Look for areas they added muti outlet box in plug if you need additional outlets. Fridge, microwave, and as i mentioned, the kurig lol. Shampoo and such, closet. Stayed in the one queen bedroom and it worked for me space wise. Place to sit outside your room. Felt very safe. It was so quiet. No undesirables, i hate to use that phrase, hanging around anywhere. Check in was easy. The gentleman that checked me in was sharp, polite, and informative. Met the owners the next morning. Very kind people. If there is something wrong, they will help you if you let them know. I found everything i needed and more during my stay, didnt have to ask for anything. Would most definitely stay again. I stayed the day after labor day so the rates were extra reasonable. Oh, no breakfast, but several close options. At least you can get your coffee first haha

This hotel is great. Hotel is one floor and you park in front of your room. It is within walking distance to downtown Cody. They don't serve breakfast, but Granny's diner is just down the street. The owners of this hotel are wonderful. It has a picnic area, and a place to sit outside of your room. Hotel area is quite. If we are every back in Cody, this is the place we would stay.

We enjoyed our stay at A Western Rose. We were greeted by a friendly person at the front desk. Our room was clean. We were close enough to restaurants and shopping within walking distance. We were there on our motorcycle and were offered a spot to wash our bike. That’s a first for us! All in all a good experience.

It's a bit of a walk to Cody downtown so we drove. Very clean property and a nice quiet neighborhood. Poor quality pillows though. But yes we would stay there again. NOT dog friendly so no puppies....

The property manager knocked loudly on our unit at 9:30 at night while we were in bed. She demanded we “pack your things and leave”. She claimed she saw a review we made a few hours earlier on Google. She repeated her demand for us to pack up and leave or she was calling the Police. We feared if we stayed that we might find our vehicle vandalized in the morning, so we left. We videoed the condition of the room which we left as we found it, and respectfully went to her office and gave her the key. We did nothing wrong, other than she didn’t like our review..she reused to give us refund, and subsequently attacked my Google account review. She shamed me for “being able to take a vacation, while her local people are hard working. She also stated that she looked up my Facebook profile and insulted me about that. This is very Creepy! We thought about staying but the Police advised us that she could press charges for Criminal Trespass, and if we wanted a refund that it would be a Civil Case. Read other bad reviews here, you will find other bad reviews similar to our Google review. Just pull up the option of worst first. The room was not worthy of stay unless you accept mediocrity. This woman ( )was creepy. I hope karma deals with her. The pictures on their website are either staged or vastly outdated.

We came in to Cody just to visit and go to the rodeo. I needed a place that was affordable. This was affordable, comfortable, and clean. I don’t usually stay in motels, so I wasn’t sure what to expect. I was greeted by a very friendly woman who was definitely knowledgeable of the town and where to go and what to do. She had suggestions for everything. She was so friendly and just wanted to make sure our stay was good. It’s hard to find people who care about your comfort and give good service these days.

I wish Expedia would not present properties with offices that are not open 24 hours. There was no one available even by phone. We eventually found keys and figured out how to check in. Rate was high even though office was not open. Room was surprisingly nice though. If you can check in early, you should be fine.
