Fantastic location. Wonderful staff. Everything about it is great - but at the moment they are being upgraded. It wouldn't stop me from staying there but it was irritating to have scaffolding being clunked around at 0800 when I am looking for a break. So. Great hotel with wonderful staff. But .. just for a while dont expect perfection

The staff were fantastic and friendly. They accommodated us and our two dogs though the premium was a little steep at €50/night. Sadly the hotel was a building site, the indoor pool was closed which is one of the reasons we booked there. The shower had seen better days and the TV did not work well, no access to online stations. Most tv was Albanian which is fine but obviously couldn’t understand! Location was ideal for the dogs adjoining the park with lovely walks.

Hotel in a great location by the park and nice restaurants, however it’s a building site as it’s undergoing a huge renovation. Fortunately at the weekend, there was not a great deal of noise. It is a grand hotel, but dated. Lovely outdoor pool but from sun Ed you see scaffolding. Bathroom was tiny and 2* toiletries and towels. Breakfast was very good.

It was terrible, Although the hotel staff was kind, nice and helpful. But there was renovation work going on in the hotel, something we were not informed about when booking the room, the renovation work was done at night until morning, it was impossible to sleep because of the noise The pool was closed due to renovations

The staff were excellent, the food at breakfast and in the restaurant was very good. However, the building work around the hotel made relaxing at the pool and on the terrace impossible. The hotel, or Expedia, should advise guests, before they book that the disruption is intrusive and makes the pool area unsafe (by UK standards).

Ingen steder havde hotellet oplyst at det er under massiv ombygning som medfører larm og at man f.eks. skal igennem byggeplads for at komme til poolen. Samt at der ved siden af poolen blev arbejdet hele dagen.

Esperienza terribile. Non siamo stati avvisati che l’hotel è completamente in ristrutturazione. Avevo un ponteggio con tanto di operai che dalle 6:30 iniziavano il loro rumorosissimo lavoro e non si poteva aprire in nessun modo la finestra altrimenti sarebbero entrati polvere e detriti. La maggior parte delle lampadine sia in camera che nel ristorante della colazione erano fulminate. La colazione sarebbe stata abbondante e varia peccato che quasi tutti i vassoi venivano riempiti con molta lentezza. La posizione è bellissima, comoda e strategica. Le camere sono molto ampie e il personale è gentile e disponibile. Molto bella la piscina esterna peccato che per accedervi bisogna attraversare un cantiere.

Der var ikke pool eller fitness som lovet, tror ikke man skal regne med det er færdigt før 2023. Vi benyttede pool vi kunne betale os fra og ellers taxa til stranden som lå 45 minutter væk. Og så måtte vi skippe træning.

Seeking some relaxation, I attempted to use the pool—only to find the outdoor one abruptly closed for a noisy private event, without any prior notice. The indoor pool, meanwhile, was uncomfortably cold, with no clear information on how to obtain locker keys. And nobody at the reception caring about it. Breakfast is equally disappointing, with cheap, uninspired food and yet another obstructed view of scaffolding and blue veils. We avoided the restaurant for luch and dinner but it seems it was equally bad. Considering the current conditions, this hotel should not remain open during such extensive construction, as the lack of warmth, comfort, and hospitality makes for an unpleasant and unwelcoming stay.

Very beautiful hotel. Clean in all areas. The hotel is just behind the Albanian Stadium in Tirana,which is a wow factor. Hotel is 5 minutes walk to the Pyramid, 10 minutes walk to the city . Buses from the hotel to the city centre is just 4 minutes away We went to Albania to celebrate my hubby's birthday. I ordered for a cake with the intention to pay for it, and we got a cake to feed 6-8 people for free.😃. The cake was delicious. Lawrence thanks, for helping to order the cake Lola thanks for baking my husband the lovely cake. Breakfast is a wow factor, great selection to choose from. Thanks to the cooks and waiters. Lawrence and Belsie the receptionists were very helpful during check in. There is a marvellous park with a massive lake behind the hotel. To conclude, Mak hotel is the perfect place to stay if you visit Tirana. My husband and myself loved our 5 days stay and will visit again. My only concern is staffs at the entrance not welcoming, you have to greet them, they never say hello when you leave or enter the hotel. I travel a lot, at least 5 times a year and go to different countries and staffs at the other hotels I have visited have been friendly and make you feel welcome.

Room was nice w. a good view. Yet internet did not work, Old TV system so you could not see TV properly - picture was hacking all the time. Staff amazing, friendly and very helpful - Hotel needs renovation and updates!

Hotellet er ældre og under renovering. Det har engang været et storslået hotel og personalet er professionelt men hotellets nuværende stand er forældet. Der er stillads på hele hotellet og der høres larm fra bygningsarbejde. Men det bliver helt sikkert fint på et tidspunkt.

Some overall issues with the power outlets (only one of them worked). Also, one night I got back to the hotel very late at night and my card would not unlock the door. Front desk staff came upstairs to let me in using their card, but that didn’t work either. The employee said that the battery must have run out, and I had to wake up the other guest in the room to let me in. It’s very inconvenient to be in this type of situation at 3am.

Rooms are extremely big and comfortable. Internet connection needs improvement as well as the TV cable/satelite provider. No TV service was ever available. Nevertheless, the hospitality of the staff at the reception and restaurant was impeccable.

Fantastic location. Wonderful staff. Everything about it is great - but at the moment they are being upgraded. It wouldn't stop me from staying there but it was irritating to have scaffolding being clunked around at 0800 when I am looking for a break. So. Great hotel with wonderful staff. But .. just for a while dont expect perfection

Perfect location. Close to city center, near nice park. Nice quiet swimming pool area. Lots of building going on in the hotel and area around makes some noise. We booked Tower room with lounge access. Looks to me that tower is under construction so I don’t think we got the room we paid for. Tried to access lounge, but was told we didn’t have that in our reservation even if it said so on the confirmed reservation. The room we got was nice with very good bed. Recomend Lyft roof terrace restaurant 300 mts from the hotel. Best food we have had in a restaurant for a very long time.

Very beautiful hotel. Clean in all areas. The hotel is just behind the Albanian Stadium in Tirana,which is a wow factor. Hotel is 5 minutes walk to the Pyramid, 10 minutes walk to the city . Buses from the hotel to the city centre is just 4 minutes away We went to Albania to celebrate my hubby's birthday. I ordered for a cake with the intention to pay for it, and we got a cake to feed 6-8 people for free.😃. The cake was delicious. Lawrence thanks, for helping to order the cake Lola thanks for baking my husband the lovely cake. Breakfast is a wow factor, great selection to choose from. Thanks to the cooks and waiters. Lawrence and Belsie the receptionists were very helpful during check in. There is a marvellous park with a massive lake behind the hotel. To conclude, Mak hotel is the perfect place to stay if you visit Tirana. My husband and myself loved our 5 days stay and will visit again. My only concern is staffs at the entrance not welcoming, you have to greet them, they never say hello when you leave or enter the hotel. I travel a lot, at least 5 times a year and go to different countries and staffs at the other hotels I have visited have been friendly and make you feel welcome.

Eigentlich ein sehr gutesHotel, freundliches Personal, gutes Frühstück, schöne Zimmer. Wir sollten am Abflugtag eine Frühstückbox bekommen, da wir um 04.20 das Hotel verliessen. Leider waren keine Frühstücksboxen bereitgestellte worden, trotz Versprechen, ansonsten hätte ich eine 10 gegeben.

You provided wrong information about hotel: there is no room service 24 hours,restaurants are closed 10pm , hotel is not working under 5 star standard, insufficient personnel. And the price is standard as it is all under perfect conditions of 5 star hotel but is missing a lot!Even television didn’t worked we had to call technicians 2 times.pillows are old at least 20 years!

The staff were excellent, the food at breakfast and in the restaurant was very good. However, the building work around the hotel made relaxing at the pool and on the terrace impossible. The hotel, or Expedia, should advise guests, before they book that the disruption is intrusive and makes the pool area unsafe (by UK standards).

Hotel in a great location by the park and nice restaurants, however it’s a building site as it’s undergoing a huge renovation. Fortunately at the weekend, there was not a great deal of noise. It is a grand hotel, but dated. Lovely outdoor pool but from sun Ed you see scaffolding. Bathroom was tiny and 2* toiletries and towels. Breakfast was very good.

Esperienza terribile. Non siamo stati avvisati che l’hotel è completamente in ristrutturazione. Avevo un ponteggio con tanto di operai che dalle 6:30 iniziavano il loro rumorosissimo lavoro e non si poteva aprire in nessun modo la finestra altrimenti sarebbero entrati polvere e detriti. La maggior parte delle lampadine sia in camera che nel ristorante della colazione erano fulminate. La colazione sarebbe stata abbondante e varia peccato che quasi tutti i vassoi venivano riempiti con molta lentezza. La posizione è bellissima, comoda e strategica. Le camere sono molto ampie e il personale è gentile e disponibile. Molto bella la piscina esterna peccato che per accedervi bisogna attraversare un cantiere.

This hotel is currently surrounded by scaffolding for large-scale works that will last for years. The blue covers obscure the view and block natural light, casting an unsettling gloom over the entire experience. Despite the obvious disruption, management pretends the issue doesn’t exist. We had a very enjoyable stay at MAK Hotel Albania and found the location to be one of its biggest strengths. It’s perfectly situated near the new stadium, restaurants, and the city centre, so there was plenty going on nearby, especially at night. At the same time, the hotel is tucked right beside the park, which gave it a quieter, more peaceful feel than you might expect in such a central area. There was significant construction underway on the first three floors during our stay, but since we were on the fifth floor and there was no work over the weekend, it was only a minor issue. The rooms are a little dated in terms of the TV and furniture, but everything was clean, in good condition, and comfortable. The rooms were also fairly large, which made the stay feel more practical and good value overall. The outdoor pool was a real highlight and absolutely perfect in the intense summer heat. With the hotel being very walkable to the city centre and main square, we felt it offered a great balance of convenience, comfort, and value.
