Started with a bad start as I was promised an early check-in but after fighting a bit they managed it. Excellent location close to everything, spacious room and great value for the money! Elevator is extremely slow so ask for a lower floor. The staff are unfriendly, rude and not helpful!

One of the hardest reviews I have had to create. Sofia airport has a metro straight to Sedona and this a short straight walk to the Lion Hotel. Alternatively you can change lines and take one stop to Lavov Most metro which is directly outside the Lion Hotel. I really liked this hotel and the free breakfast from Cafe 1920 is one of the best I have ever had. The room was spacious and clean with a fantastic coffee machine. There’s a Lidl a couple of doors away for water, snacks, beers, etc. the hotel is at the end of a long shopping street and easy walking distance of many tourist spots, such as the cathedral and serdika ruins. The area feels a little dodgy, but once I’d spent time walking around it didn’t seem so bad. Now the difficult part, I was here on business and the hotel had no internet the whole time. There was WiFi but this WiFi had no internet. So for most business users this is terrible and likely to be a huge inconvenience. The man behind the desk said this wasn’t something they knew of, but nothing seemed to be done about it. The other issue was that their secure baggage storage was a set of shelves behind the cafe. I would recommend and would love to give it top marks but as a business user the lack of internet is a big issue.

Es war sehr schlecht, der Aufzug hat nicht funktioniert und es war sehr kalt im Badezimmer kein Heizung und sehr schmutzig. Wenn jemand nicht ins Zimmer rein darf gehen die Mitarbeiter trotzdem darein kein Parkplätze und nicht zum empfehlen

Located right by metro stop so transport links there are perfect. Lovely little restaurant attached to hotel. 5 minute walking distance to nearby market. Reception had an odd smell on arrival but works were being done. Friendly and efficient staff. Spacious and well equipped rooms.

Overordnet er fint hotel med dejlig central beliggenhed. Værelset var en god størrelse og med fin plads. Derudover var det et meget fint badeværelse og alt fungerede rigtig fint. Dog var der under hele opholdet en vedvarende lugt af kloak fra badeværelset og værelset var lettere slidt. Men generelt et rigtigt fint værelse.

２日宿泊しました。フロントの方は、とても優しくて、美味しいレストランや、オススメの観光地を教えてくれました。お部屋もとても広くて、綺麗に掃除してくれていました。朝ごはんを一度、食べましたが、量が多くて食べきれませんでしたが、美味しかったです。空港まで、地下鉄を一回乗り継げば、１時間以内で着けるし、とても便利でした。

Hotel itself is very nice and very affordable compare with closer to the center. Staff was nice, rooms are clean. Conveniently located. There are 3 supermarkets nearby (promarjet, Bella, lidl), coffee shops, other food stores, kiosks, authentic bakeries.

No a bad stay; the room had everything I needed and the staff were wonderful and very helpful. The only thing I didn’t care for was the smell emanating from the pipes in the bathroom in my room. I had to leave the bathroom window to the streets open and the bathroom door to the room closed to manage the stench. I believe the issue was not specific to my room but the pipes in the whole hotel.

Perfect for a few nights in Sofia! It is walking distance to the bus station and the metro station that takes you to the airport. It is clean and spacious. Only thing is you hear the trams going and coming. Not too bad but if you’re a light sleeper just fyi.

Classic bait and switch. Booked a deluxe room with queen bed when arrive just throw us into a dark dirty room with double bed looks nothing like the photos on Expedia website when I spoke to front desk was told take it or leave it that is not my problem. Beware run far and fast

I arrived 19:00 in the afternoon and the girl in reception came after 30 minutes. When I told her that I was waiting she just told me I was up….all the days during my day (one day she was eating in reception, and the other look for restaurant general first time so negative behavior in front of a desk. The coffee near the hotel was nice, rooms were big, I stayed three nights they never change bed linen. The most negative for me is the behavior of the girl in reception….. behavior like she makes us favour that we choose this hotel!! is the first look has someone when enter the hotel….

Very clean. Great market two doors down. Restaurant next door provides excellent breakfast. Lavov Most metro station on M2 line is right across the street. Take M4 metro line from airport to Serdika stop. Transfer to M2 line heading for Obelya. Lavon Most is next stop. Look for exit from metro to Maria Luisa.
