everything was great genuine friendly people from the cleaning staff to the cooks one thing i would have liked to see would be a couple parking spots big enough for a truck and utility trailer attached.guys love atv riding and it would be nice

Just off the busy highway along a commercial strip, Tim Horton's across the street, a generous box breakfast while the kitchen/dining area was under reconstruction... all that I needed for my travel to Cape Breton for Celtic Colours!

Under renovation but very quiet. Our room was renovated and very nice. Check in was a breeze and so was check out. The continental breakfast was great. Very quiet and very clean. Will definitely stay again.

There was plenty of parking, adjustable air/heat, big cozy beds and all the amenities a person would require. There is no elevators in Comfort Inns so prepare to carry your bags up at least one floor. Breakfast was good.

Our room was musty and smelled like it had been smoked in at one time and the carpet was filthy! The air conditioner was noisy and the smell when it came on was awful. Breakfast was terrible and there were not enough tables so we went across the street to Tim's instead. Will find other options for accommodations when visiting Amherst in the future. Sorry!

We booked with low expectations based on previous reviews. The location was great for us, close to amenities and easy to find. The lady working the front desk at check in was wonderful, very friendly and helpful. Our room was clean however there was a very strong musty smell in the room that really bothered my husband and I. We were going to request another room but we spoke to 2 other couples (one on the ground floor with us and one on the second floor) and they both said the same about their rooms. Based on this, we wouldn't return.

This hotel is old. The beds are not comfortable, one had a serious squeak and lumpy. The bath had a steady drip drip drip, and someone else's hairs in the bathroom, ick. The staff were so friendly, they are the shining light at this hotel. But bathroom cleanliness was lacking. For the price I would expect a better experience.

Staff was excellent. Very friendly. Hotel is very clean. Easy no navigate. My only issue was the bed was a bit hard. But all in all it was a very good stay and we will be coming up quite frequently due to my wife being in school and we will definitely be staying there for all our stays. Location is also a big plus for us.

Housekeeping needs improvement. Floor in the rooms wasn't cleaned properly. The coffee machine isn't clean, water tank of the coffee machine in the room wasn't clean. Appreciate the front desk team for changing the room but the floor in that too had some areas that wasn't clean.

Nice check in. Advised to park in the back to access the back door which was closer to our room. Sketchy area. Moved the car where I could see it from my room. Assigned to a room on the second floor. No elevators for those with limited mobility. Room smelled like an animal had been there and they tried to cover up the smell of the rug (which needed to be replaced). Bed was comfortable. Bathroom was clean. The toilet didn't work right. Had to manually move the float in the tank to get it to flush. It was too late at night to call for help. We would not stay there again or recommend it to friends traveling to NS.

We just needed a stop-over enroute to PEI to visit family. The price was right, esp with the hot breakfast. We had a room that included a sofa that allowed us to unwind. The bed was comfortable, but the AC unit was a bit noisy.

This is a shoddy hotel with poor quality renovations with visible gaps in the door and no noise insulation. We could hear everything around us. Considering the price the hotel was charging, it was doubly unacceptable. I also did not get the larger room I booked and paid for. We left after only one night.

The hotel is conveniently located close to shopping and restaurants with easy access to the highway. The overall cleanliness was ok but the air conditioner in the room seemed like it was out of the early80's and struggled to cool the room. Outside temps of 29 celsius.

During this trip, I stayed at many hotels, and this hotel had the worst service. The front desk seemed to treat guests differently based on their background, which made the experience uncomfortable. On top of that, it was the only hotel that required providing a home address and a deposit, and interestingly, not every guest was asked for this—some were asked while others were not. Overall, I would not recommend staying here.

The person on the front desk was wonderful. She was pleasant and told me the best way to get to my room and even offered to help me with my luggage if I needed it. Later she recommended a great restaurant for a lovely sit down dinner. A great way to wrap up my day.

The room was exactly as expected, clean, basic hotel room. No concerns or issues with the room. Nice hot breakfast in the morning. The hotel staff/manager were really exemplary. Due to a family death, they were able to accommodate a last minute change to our booking with kindness and compassion. They did not need to do it, and we were deeply grateful for their understanding.

The employee at the front desk helped us bring our luggage to our room. It was clean and quiet and well situated off the highway for a stop ling the way. The breakfast was very nice! Would stay there again.

It was a one night sray in Amhurst with small dogs. Beds were comfy with 4 pillows. Bathroom was spacious and clean. Very quiet and relaxing stay. The morning beeakdast was 5STARS. They had eggs, bacon, hashbrown potato, cereals, waffles, bagels, toast, fruit, yogurt, coffee, tea, juice and everything was fully stocked.

The breakfast was really weird. They have a standard breakfast set up (eggs, toast, bacon, cereal, etc) but only 3 tables to eat at. Made it super awkward for everyone. Also the bathroom in the lobby is labeled as a "staff only" room. Clean enough place with nice staff, just really weird vibes from random things.

Hotel was clean. Unfortunate that there is no elevator, but this was not a deal breaker. There was not enough space (tables and chairs) for breakfast. A bus load of students took over the space and all other late comers for breakfast had to take the food back to our rooms to eat. Desk staff made no attempt to encourage the students to clear out after they were finished eating.
