My daughter-in-law was able to get the suite she wanted. The rooms were clean and attractive. I loved the pool area and the restaurant. The neighbourhood is filled with outstanding art and craft stores. I couldn't recommend this hotel more.

Esta opción más que un Hotel Boutique, es un hostal, muy caro para lo que ofrecen, al arribar a recepción primero me cobraron y luego me notificaron que si venía en coche buscara donde guardarlo por ellos ya no tenían lugar, al preguntar si me podían recomendar algún estacionamiento me indicaron que no, que me estacionara donde encontrara, abandonándome literalmente a mi suerte; finalmente después de dar vueltas en el pueblo más de una hora, al regresar al hotel afortunadamente se desocupó un espacio y pude estacionar mi auto, pero no fue gratis, el estacionamiento lo cobran aparte $100 pesos por día, cosa que me pareció pésima… al entrar a mi habitación, una “Junior Suite”, si es la de las fotos, pero en viejo, el wifi no servía, las persianas no cubrían el 100% de la visibilidad al interior del cuarto, lo cual es incómodo y poco íntimo, lo viejo del cuarto lo hace ver sucio, aún que esté limpio… en pocas palabras… NO me volvería a hospedar allí, PÉSIMO SERVICIO

A real pretty place!! It’s like the White Lotus of Los Cabos. 😂 There is another building down the street with rooms. We booked a junior suite and she tried to put us down the street but I called her on it and she put us in the correct room. They have parking and are close to everything.

Very nice classical hotel in the heart of the art District. Beautiful courtyards, nice decor, friendly staff very central. Has a nice pool but it’s not heated. So good on warm days.

We had the best stay at this quaint boutique hotel! The grounds are absolutely beautiful! We came in from shopping, dining or the beach each day to a tidied room with fresh towels and beds made. The pool area was quiet and lovely. All of the staff were extra pleasant and helpful.

This was our second time here, 16 years apart & the hotel still holds its exquisite beauty. I love the feels when staying here. Heart of the Art District Area. Elegant rooms with character and everything you need to have a peaceful comfortable sleep & stay. Beautiful pool & gardens Mexican music plays in background. The restaurant on site has an amazing breakfast lunch happy hour & dinner. Staff is very friendly & helpful. We will be back again sooner than later. Thank you 😊

We are regular guests at the Encanto and really enjoyed the ease of parking the comfort of the rooms the proximity to restaurants and shops and especially like the front office folks. Very nice. We will be coming back.

We were a little disappointed. Mostly the room smelt damp, and this irritated my lungs / asthma. Little things missing - no matches to light candles (not one at reception or bar after 10pm to ask for matches).... air conditioning made large grinding / banging noise throughout the night.. curtains didn't pull across railings.... no help with luggage on arrival.... which we needed.... All in all, disappointed with this room / stay. Location is best thing.

When visiting San Jose del Cabo over the years, we always wanted to stay at the El Encanto.. this year we made it happen. Such a charming hotel. Friendly service, clean, and perfectly located I the central area. I highly recommend!

The hotel is very unique and the garden area and pool area is beautiful. Located near the center of town is great. It allowed us easy access to shopping and dining. The room need some updating, the couch was tired and the bathroom was musty and old. A little tlc in these areas would make it great. The bed was very comfortable.

Lovely spacious room in the Art District of San Jose del Cabo. Close to shops and great restaurants. The courtyard, pool area and common spaces are beautifully decorated and inviting. The only negative is that the area can be a bit noisy at night as it is near nightlife. Earplugs dd the trick for me but this could be an issue if you are a light sleeper. Everything else was exemplary.

I was disappointed to learn that my room was not in the main hotel, but was down the street in a separate building. This seemed like a classic bait and switch. The room wasn’t bad, it was just not what I was expecting when I booked it.

It’s not clear that rooms are located across the street next to a very loud bar. We have two kids. This is not what we expected or wanted when we made the reservation. Terrible.

This was our last night in Baja, and being near the beach was no longer a necessity. El Encanto is the perfect place to land. There are countless food options within one block. We found a walking path nearby and then we relaxed in the pool and lovely garden. Our rooms were well appointed and the staff is so kind. We’ll be back.

The main property and common areas for this inn was beautiful with the landscaping being gorgeous. We were in “the annex” which also had lovely landscaping. The room was also nice but I would suggest they indicate you’ll be in the annex on the website. It was a little loud but nothing you wouldn’t expect being in the center of town. I would recommend they use better lighting in the room and some decor on a porch behind the room that was unused. You can tell the front desk deals with disappointed customers daily about the annex. I knew it was a possibility from the reviews so no complaints from me but no friendliness from her. If it’s that much of an issue, warn people on your website. Just be nice and friendly. We still enjoyed the pool and the restaurant next door is excellent. I would return so don’t be afraid to stay there.

If you want ice, you have to get assistance to get it. The AC did not always work the best. The music from surrounding restaurants or clubs can be heard easily through the walls so if your a light sleeper could be very laye before you go to sleep.

Perfect location for exploring downtown and the art walk. We stayed in the main building in a room that opens into the beautiful pool area. The owner is very friendly and helpful. I would recommend this hotel to anyone.

After my Amex was swiped. They then told me our room was down the street in a different building, down an alley and up a staircase. My wife has a heart condition and cannot go upstairs. They had no elevator. We had 4 large bags as we have been traveling for weeks and they had no staff to help. The photo of the room that I thought I bought was nothing like the little dingy room they tried to put us in. They also charged us for our licensed service dog. I explained the situation and they said sorry but they can’t refund my card. We had to find another hotel.
After my Amex was swiped. They then told me our room was down the street in a different building, down an alley and up a staircase. My wife has a heart condition and cannot go upstairs. They had no elevator. We had 4 large bags as we have been traveling for weeks and they had no staff to help. The photo of the room that I thought I bought was nothing like the little dingy room they tried to put us in. They also charged us for our licensed service dog. I explained the situation and they said sorry but they can’t refund my card. We had to find another hotel.

Esta opción más que un Hotel Boutique, es un hostal, muy caro para lo que ofrecen, al arribar a recepción primero me cobraron y luego me notificaron que si venía en coche buscara donde guardarlo por ellos ya no tenían lugar, al preguntar si me podían recomendar algún estacionamiento me indicaron que no, que me estacionara donde encontrara, abandonándome literalmente a mi suerte; finalmente después de dar vueltas en el pueblo más de una hora, al regresar al hotel afortunadamente se desocupó un espacio y pude estacionar mi auto, pero no fue gratis, el estacionamiento lo cobran aparte $100 pesos por día, cosa que me pareció pésima… al entrar a mi habitación, una “Junior Suite”, si es la de las fotos, pero en viejo, el wifi no servía, las persianas no cubrían el 100% de la visibilidad al interior del cuarto, lo cual es incómodo y poco íntimo, lo viejo del cuarto lo hace ver sucio, aún que esté limpio… en pocas palabras… NO me volvería a hospedar allí, PÉSIMO SERVICIO

Paulina, the person at the front desk, who checked us in, is so very sweet and hospitable and she made us feel at home in every way. The hotel is gorgeous and within walking distance to some really great restaurants and coffee shops.

We arrived 10:45 pm and nobody was there to check us in. We had to spend the night at our own expense. When we came the next morning we got charged for the night anyway. The clerk (ms Dinora ) was not very friendly and acted like she was doing us a favor checking us in for the rest of the week. The hotel was in a noisy location and the pipes were making noise as well. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone !

This was our second time here, 16 years apart & the hotel still holds its exquisite beauty. I love the feels when staying here. Heart of the Art District Area. Elegant rooms with character and everything you need to have a peaceful comfortable sleep & stay. Beautiful pool & gardens Mexican music plays in background. The restaurant on site has an amazing breakfast lunch happy hour & dinner. Staff is very friendly & helpful. We will be back again sooner than later. Thank you 😊

We are regular guests at the Encanto and really enjoyed the ease of parking the comfort of the rooms the proximity to restaurants and shops and especially like the front office folks. Very nice. We will be coming back.

We had a wonderful week-long stay. The staff was very helpful and kind. The location is ideal. We felt lucky to be right in the historic district. Amazing restaurants feet away. Others have mentioned noise, but we simply used earplugs on festive nights. We plan to return.

Lovely spacious room in the Art District of San Jose del Cabo. Close to shops and great restaurants. The courtyard, pool area and common spaces are beautifully decorated and inviting. The only negative is that the area can be a bit noisy at night as it is near nightlife. Earplugs dd the trick for me but this could be an issue if you are a light sleeper. Everything else was exemplary.

This was an amazing find in the perfect location. We were located within an easy walk around the art/history district and wonderful restaurants. We will definitely recommend to others and stay again ourselves.

I hate to give this place an awesome review because I don’t want it to become popular and packed but it’s amazing! Not close to the beach and no ocean view but walk to everything San Jose and old town has to offer. Cannot be the location! Staff was excellent as well as the pool, bar/restaurant, etc. Can’t wait to come back!

Perfect location for exploring downtown and the art walk. We stayed in the main building in a room that opens into the beautiful pool area. The owner is very friendly and helpful. I would recommend this hotel to anyone.

My daughter-in-law was able to get the suite she wanted. The rooms were clean and attractive. I loved the pool area and the restaurant. The neighbourhood is filled with outstanding art and craft stores. I couldn't recommend this hotel more.

We had 5 luxurious days at the El Encanto. We loved the entire staff, the lovely bar & restaurant attached to the property and the perfect location in the Art District within walking distance of the plaza. We love San Jose del Cabo!!

This was our last night in Baja, and being near the beach was no longer a necessity. El Encanto is the perfect place to land. There are countless food options within one block. We found a walking path nearby and then we relaxed in the pool and lovely garden. Our rooms were well appointed and the staff is so kind. We’ll be back.

The main property and common areas for this inn was beautiful with the landscaping being gorgeous. We were in “the annex” which also had lovely landscaping. The room was also nice but I would suggest they indicate you’ll be in the annex on the website. It was a little loud but nothing you wouldn’t expect being in the center of town. I would recommend they use better lighting in the room and some decor on a porch behind the room that was unused. You can tell the front desk deals with disappointed customers daily about the annex. I knew it was a possibility from the reviews so no complaints from me but no friendliness from her. If it’s that much of an issue, warn people on your website. Just be nice and friendly. We still enjoyed the pool and the restaurant next door is excellent. I would return so don’t be afraid to stay there.

Great location, our room was fantastic and quiet even though in the middle of a lot of action. The only thing is the pool was very small and very warm. Felt more like a hot tub in the sun. We had a car and there was affordable easy parking near by.

The staff was very helpful and knowledgeable about the area. I am a very light sleeper, so the loud music from restaurant and bar next door was a little bit of inconvenience.

Generic hotel. Expensive for what you get. Room was very basic and window opened to courtyard so no privacy. Like an old school Holiday Inn. Almost 200 usd after all the fees. Clean but not nice place. Bed hard as a rock.

Such a very nice boutique hotel, clean, air conditioned and staff was great! Everything was right out the hotel…restaurants, shops, pharmacies!! the air conditioned was noisy especially for night time sleep plus I wish they had a mirror maybe a long one in the bedroom so one can get ready well the other is in the bathroom! Oh the swimming pool was on the roof top (we never used) but it look cozy and cute! Very well kept!
