Pueblo Bonito Emerald Bay Resort & Spa

No airport shuttle if you book through Expedia/hotels.com, which is quite annoying. Checkin was ok, the room is very dated, the shower heads all need changing and spray everywhere. The toilets in the public bathrooms by the pools are more often than not plugged/wont flush, and the urnals are full. The gym is quite nice, resort pools and gardens are nice. There are no real activities to do at the resort or pool other than volleyball and aqua exercise. The bistro food was decent, the buffet was just ok save for the tacos which were great and the morning omelettes were good. The buffet service was good overall but you’ll get better service with tips obviously. The poolside service was atrocious but I think it depends on where you sit. The beach isn’t very nice, the sand is dark, the shores are rocky and dangerous to swim in. Would I come back, probably not. They need a serious upgrade here.

Beautiful garden-like grounds and pool, very large (3 pool areas, one of them adults only). Right on the water. Amazing views. Much bigger than many of the other hotels. The rooms are suites and quite large, good for families. The food is good, not great. It was just the two of us and we missed having a more quiet, fancier restaurant. The beach is nice but quite rocky so maybe not good for little kids, the pools are a better option and there are plenty of them. Emerald Bay is pretty far out of town so shuttle or taxi is necessary to get to other activities or restaurants. Finally, beware the "welcome" breakfast - it's a time share sales. After that, they leave you alone and it's a nice place!

La entrega de la habitacion demasiado tardada, los carritos para trasladarse dentro del hotel tardaban mucho, estacionamiento limitado, la comida buena pero con poca variedad, las habitaciones agradables y el trato de la gente

The grounds were beautiful and sprawling. Service was great and friendly. Took advantage of the free shuttles to the sister resort. Rooms could be updated and limited dining options

Falta de señalización en todo el hotel, desorden en la recepción e indiferencis de los empleados, los carritos son insuficientes, hora y media para que te lleven agua a la habitación, muy limitado los alimentos en el buffet, la habitación 1727 con olor a humedad, horrible los estacionamientos, nula vigilancia y personal de apoyo

We were able to visit Pueblo Bonito Emerald Bay again after a 3 year absence due to Covid. The resort was wonderful as always. We enjoyed much time at the adult pool area with great service provided by Fabian, Christian and Jose. Food was good in the all inclusive plan. A great place to relax and enjoy the sun during winter time.

The staff at the adult pool were amazing! All staff throughout the resort were friendly and helpful.

Excelente comida y servicio. La piscina es preciosa. El único inconveniente es que no se puede nadar en la playa cercana por el arrecife.

Lovely gardens, pool and beach. Bistro restaurant staff and food great. Room very large with good views. Bed and shower great. Drink quality not impressive, cheap spirits and service ends early. Overall great place once aware of timings etc. tip you can keep your wrist band and go to aquarium

Liked the food. Liked the trees. Didn't like lack of entertainment especially at night. Latest you could get a drink was suppose to be 10. But they actually closed restaurant/bar at 9:15 and they were not happy how I wasn't happy about that. Hated wait staff most indifferent wait staff I have ever experienced in Mexico. I've been to Mexico about 50 times. $10 usd tip for food for 2 and couldn't even get a smile or thank you from staff. I'm guessing resort had something to do with that as they asked you to tip as you signed for all drinks and food and charge to room: even if you had the all inclusive. And if you wanted to tip directly they asked you put it in envelope and give to front desk after stay. We just tipped directly like most all inclusive resorts. But like I said didn't seem appreciated at all. They have a very nice gym and spa. No nightly entertainment. This resort my opinion is made for people in their 70's.

No vale la pena el costo para el dificil acceso a la playa, pocos camastros y sombras, todo alejado, transporte tardado y las instalaciones en pesimas condiciones, la mitad de mi estancia al salir de la habitacion olía a animal muerto. En cuanto al servicio del personal la mayoria apenas contesta el buen dia. Lo unico rescatable es la comida de los 2 restauratnes que hay.

Instalaciones muy bonitas, limpias y todo el personal con muy buena actitud de servicio, las habitaciones amplias y confortables, los alimentos en sus diferentes restaurantes de primera.

En general falta de limpieza seria. Atención deficiente. No vale lo que cuesta. Poco competitivo. No lo recomiendo.

Beware, what used to be a great location has lost its touch. Brown water from The showers, unfriendly staff, not very many open food places and the food not very good at all. Definitely wouldn’t come Back again

Actually, the floor in my room never seemed to get clean along with the bottom of the toilet, having urine stains from before we got there. Even with that being said, the staff was so overly helpful and friendly, and kept everything outside so incredibly maintained and me and my family so well served that I am absolutely coming back to Pueblo Bonito Emerald Bay! The servers and the bartenders were incredible even above the rest of the staff! The beds were very comfortable and besides having to brush my feet off every time I got in bed the room was beautiful! Incredible views with every step. I pushed my mother all around the resort every day because we enjoyed the walk but every 15 or 20 feet another cart would stop to make sure we did not need a ride. Everyone wanted to be so helpful!

Rooms very outdated. Smelled like mold.

The friendliness of the staff, trying at all times to accommodate and extend themselves for their guests is why I gave a rating of 4 star (staff alone would be 5 star). The pools at the resort were very nice also. I found my room to be less than appealing. It reeked of disinfectant and an underlying musty, moldy smell. It was stark and bare. The ocean view was very nice though.

La habitación estaba muy linda y limpia, la tina creo que tenía un problema el tapón porque el agua se iba, por más que la colocábamos. Fuera de eso toda la experiencia fue increíble, el personas tuvo un trato excelente, quedamos encantados

The resort is very old and is in desperate need of repairs/upgrades. All the lamps in our room were damaged, only a couple outlets worked, outlet in bathroom worked half the time, no where to plug a phone next to your bed, the last day NO WATER came out of the shower and no hot water in the sink. I told the front desk and they did nothing. If you enjoy protein or seafood this is not the place for you!!! The food was lacking any flavor, especially the desserts. There were minimal shrimp options...maybe two. It tasted like they watered down their liquer because I would order double drinks and still not taste the alcohol. The pools look dirty, the floors and stairs of the pool were filthy. The hottubs were crowded with kids and babies in diapers! The outdoor bathrooms surrounding the pool were in need of repairs and filthy. This resort needs to be remodeled, they need some professional chefs to upgrade the menus and they need to put money into the food and drinks they are serving. I have gone several years prior and will never be returning. I will also be discouraging others to visit.

The people who work at the hotel go out of their way to give you a pleasant experience. The rooms could use a refresh though. The tile and grout are quite worn especially in the bathrooms. I had a ceiling leak while I was there and they did fix it. It would be nice if they could update this hotel like they did with Pueblo Bonito Mazatlan. Both hotels are nice but I prefer the quieter vibe at Emerald Bay.

the place is amazing. the staff is even more amazing. beautiful, lush and green. the all inclusive drinks were rather basic and mostly juices and soda fillers. the food was great for me. i am not a food snob. some will not like it, im sure. i liked the rooms. they have a mexican vibe to them, which i really liked. the beds were a little firm.

Es la segunda ocasión que visitamos este hotel, pero en esta ocasión vimos la falta de mantenimiento en las habitaciones y el poco cuidado en la limpieza. Las regaderas no están bien lavadas, las camas no cuentan con un edredón y las almohadas son escasas, sólo 2 y huelen muy mal... a algunas paredes les falta pintura y el suelo también se ve maltratado...

The resort itself is so beautiful but the rooms are very dated and need a upgrade. Some rooms do not have a walkout balcony so if you want one you need to request it . There was only 1 activity during the evening we stayed a week. It is very quiet and not much to do. There was bingo during the day and that was fun and the service by the main pool was amazing they were great! I would definitely book at this resort again but I would request a room by the main pool, lower level. I did find the menu confusing. Some food items are not included with your all inclusive, make sure you ask your server!

Pueblo bonito has changed a lot! Room are run down, check in was a long wait! All inclusive very limited. Restaurant have very little options. Rooms had no power outlets to charge phones. No night activities, only positive thing is all the staff is super friendly and will go above and beyond for you. Will probably not return to Pueblo bonito.

The rooms were very clean and well maintained. Excellent beds, and huge suites with kitchen, though you don’t need it because of the all inclusive plan. But this is a premium resort I think is the best in Mazatlan!

The staff treated us like royalty! We had a wonderful time! The property landscape is fabulous with views! The rooms are spacious but a lot of deferred maintenance and tattered elegance. Need updating since built in 2004. Food was good and ample amounts! Waiters and Golf cart drivers were like family!

The staff was amazing! Regardless of where on the resort all the staff were just amazing. So friendly and helpful.

El servicio de recepción deja mucho que desear, muy lentos para realizar el check in, algo incómodo que te manden a colocar el brazalete con las personas que te quieren vender membresías, vas llegando y lo que quieres es instalarte y te agarran a quererte agendar un desayuno de ventas, y ya para salir pedí a la recepción un carrito de golf a la habitación para que me ayudara con el equipaje, más de 30 minutos esperando hasta qué pasó otro señor en carrito y nos comento que recepción no había pedido ningún servicio, dentro de las instalaciones ( bares, restaurantes, albercas etc) todos son muy amables, es muy buena opción poder usar las instalaciones del otro pueblo bonito que está en la zona dorada.

Alimentos excelentes, algunos miembros del personal como el restaurante excelente atención Personal de la alberca para adultos muy groseros

We had two reservations our first reservation. They were going to give us an upgrade but we chose to stay in a Junior suite so we wouldn’t have to move. Also, Fernando at the front desk worked very hard so that my mom and sister would be able to be in the same building with us since they were arriving a couple days later. He went above and beyond and I feel that Pueblo Bonito did an outstanding job making us feel like we were valued. This is our seventh year here and we will continue to come back as long as we are welcome.

Front desk staff wasn’t very welcoming, the only nice customer service and where we felt comfortable was in the morning for breakfast and dinner. Other than that rest of the staff wasn’t very welcoming or nice. we try to spend most of our time out of the hotel due to not feeling welcomed

First, I commend management for their devotion to customer service during our stay (Martin, Olympio, the Cardeliere manager/trainer, and the manager in charge during our checkout). This hotel is very big but very outdated. We had to ride in golf carts to get from point A to point C, which could be a nuisance at times. We had several hiccups during our stay including ants in our room and in common areas, no available toothbrushes for guests, and the smell of sewer in our bathroom. Nonetheless, the employees are top-notch, and we received phenomenal customer service. Their spa services were beyond our expectations. I was not vastly impressed with the restaurants. They moved the sushi restaurant to the bar near the hotel lobby, which we found to be inconvenient to guests as they didn’t have enough seating. One night we attempted to have dinner there and the wait was 40 minutes yet there was space for tables and chairs in some areas. The Cardeliere had an Italian night however, their food was less than appetizing for our taste. Also, be aware of the women sitting at the hotel's entrance who will try to get you to attend a breakfast to sell a timeshare. If you don’t attend, they refuse to give you a $20 refund that is paid (which happened to us due to an unforeseen circumstance). Furthermore, they don’t have any bottled water in the rooms, and you must walk or ride (in a golf cart) to a restaurant for water. Lastly, Kelly’s Bar should have more tables for additional seating.

Por el costo no explican desde el inicio el nivel de los brazaletes (que tipo de bebidas incluye) ya que no es tal cual ALL INCLUSIVE. Se lo dije al persona si lo dicen uno con gusto lo paga . El check in fue hasta las 4pm ya que en esta app solo dejaba reservar 2 camas queen, que cambiamos por 1 king. Alimentos bien pero para lo que se paga esperaba más.

La vista al mar, era parcial, la habitacion estaba grande y comoda, la cocina en excelentes condiciones, ya no hay mucha playa para estar!! No se si sea por el mar o hayn hecho nas construccion.. fue lo unico que me falto mojarme los pies en la arena

Solo la ubicación está algo remota, todo lo demás excelente

This resort is absolutely beautiful. It’s quite spread out amongst beautiful tropical gardens so be prepared to walk. They do have golf carts that will drive you to the further areas if you like. Our room was a Jr Suite and it has a kitchen and a big balcony with an amazing view. The bed was quite hard. The restaurants were great with a big selection of food choices and every staff member was excellent that we encountered. If you want relaxing and out of the way then it’s definitely the place for you! There are no vendors or Banda on the beach that far north so it’s extremely quiet. To get to the Golden Zone we took Uber but they will also call you a taxi if you prefer

Superb resort, a tropical paradise. Excellent food and service. The area around the resort doesn’t offer much, but the free shuttle takes you closer to the Golden Zone.

The junior suite rooms were much better than i expected. high ceiling, mini kitchen, nice sized patio. Plenty of choice for food and drinks. The property is very far from activities however, taxis are fairly reasonable.

Staff were good, food at buffet was average. Asian food at Kelly's was very good as was Angelo's at sister property. Bistro food was quite good as was food around pool especially fish tacos. Drinks around pool were as normal at all inclusive, weak but not bad. Beach was rocky so not safe for body surfing although better a little further south. Wives spotted 6 ft crocodile on beach so maybe rocks are least of hazards! Decent gym as well. Little far from town but that kept teenagers from wandering off property so probably a plus for our group.

First time visitors to this resort. After booking then reading reviews, I was a little worried about the experience to come. I will tell you, It takes a little bit of listening and time to review all of the paperwork provided at check in. If you take the time to do that, you will be fine. Many people choose not to buy all inclusive. If you are all inclusive, you just need to realize there are some items that are not included and you need to prepare for that. On site restaurants are included. I saw many comments about the sushi, but we ate their twice and had absolutely no problems.The food was delicious and the service was great. We also ate at the buffet which I liked but didn't love. Good was just ok. Eating at the Bistro was our favorite on site. I would highly recommend going to Casa46.This is one of those things that has a slight upcharge, but is absolutely a wonderful experience that you should take.

Cada vez que se consume algo (comida o bebidas) llevan la cuenta diciendo el costo de lo consumido y luego aclaran que está en ceros ya que se pagó el All Inclusive. Si ya está pagado porqué hacen tanto énfasis en el costo de lo consumido? Porqué se debe estar cerrando cuenta despues de consumir, si la idea de pagar todo por adelantado es evitar hacer eso? Aparte la comida no es variada en el bufete

el hotel esta muy cuidado por fuera en las habitaciones si les hace falta limpieza y las almoadas estan muy viejitas... la habitación que nos toco esta bien. en contra tiene que solo hay dos restarurantes en el hotel, y si quieres ir a los gurmets tienes que salir a otro hotel de la cadena, la comida en los dos que hay esta bien, buen buffte variado y el otro a la carta bistro bueno tambin...MAAAL QUE EN LOS BARES SI QUIERES UN DON JULIO, O UN BUCHANAS TIENES QUE PAGARLO, BUENO HASTA EL CAPITAN MORGAN QUE VELE 150 PESOS LA BOTELLA SOLO TE LO SIRVEN PAGANDO, SE SUPONE QUE TE COBRAN "TODO INCLUIDO" Y TODO ES TODO LO QUE HAY EN EL HOTEL...CLARO EXCEPTO SPA MASAJES Y OTRS BANALIDADES.

Excellent food service at Bistro. Good amenities. The only bad thing in the bar closing 10:30pm.

La calidad en general bajó mucho, los licores que incluían en el todo incluido antes eran de mejor calidad y había más variedad. El buffet terrible, 1 sola opción de guisado a parte del huevo, pocas opciones de proteína, la piña jamás estuvo fresca. En general aunque sigue habiendo buenas opciones en el menú la calidad y sabor de los alimentos bajo. En general la atención en emerald bay terrible, se noto la preferencia a los extranjeros, lo cual no pasó los días que fuimos de visita a PB Mazatlán, excelente atención ahí, el único lugar rescatable el sushi. Pedimos resurtido de aguas en el cuarto y jamás lo hicieron lo cual es ridículo porque igual podíamos pedir las botellas en el bar, pero a veces se necesitaba en la noche un extra. Extrañamos los rollitos primavera del bistro, eran muy superiores a los del sushi, de haber tenido incluso batas en la habitación a que no cambien las toallas cuando se dejaban en el suelo, las volvían a dejar húmedas dobladas

El hotel esta bien en general, la atencion por parte del personal es bastante buena y cordial, la comida ofrecida es de regular a buena, podrian ofrecer un poco mas en las bebidas del all inclusive pero se quedan muy cortos en calidad y algo que si no es comprensible es la atencion en el bar Kelly´s donde incompresiblemente hay un lugar reservado que nunca se utiliza.........

Un excelente hotel, todo muy bien, sin embargo deben renovar los colchones para un descanso igualmente excelente, la comida y bebidas en el plan todo incluido estan muy bien, les falta implementar una barra de mariscos más completa ya que están en Mazatlán

Servicio de bar y comida de las albercas muy tardado y descortés y calidad de las bebidas All inclusive no son buenas.
