We were only here for one night, but everything was great. The room was very clean and comfortable. The location was good, and there was a lot of free parking. The only issue we had was with the breakfast. There was no one actively refilling things, so there was very little available. Otherwise, it was all great.

Staff was very accommodating and the hotel was clean with an amazing location near ALOT of restaurants and a couple exits from the Hoover Finley Center. Typical slow elevators and it seemed a little humid in hallways, but able to manage the temperature in our room fine. It seemed odd the pool was right out front without a lot of privacy. But across the street was a beautiful waterfall and we actually brought our chairs and cooler over there for some quiet time.

The staff was pretty nice. It’s in a convenient location. The room however, had a horrible smell to it. Extremely harsh cleaners mixed with the smell of urine. There were stains everywhere. On the bedding, sofa, floors etc. Probably due to do the humidity and bad filtration, the ceramic floors were wet and slippery. The carpet portion felt damp. I would wipe the ceramic only to have it slippery again in less than an her. The pool was green with what looked like algae. I’d recommend looking at their Yelp reviews before booking.

Floors were dirty. Pool was a green and brown mess. Toilet paper holders were broken off the public restroom wall. Has potential to be a nice place but needs serious maintenance and cleaning effort.

Ac fan too loud. Door to back parking lot was broken, so it was either left ajar or firmly stuck closed. Looks like ac units had been taken to the back of the motel for cleaning and repair. Employees were pleasant and helpful. I would stay there again.

To make a long story short, the rooms were not available when stated and had to change rooms twice due to cleaning issues. At 11am was told the room would be ready at 2-3pm. Arrived at 4, was told it would be 6-7pm at the earliest and no other rooms available. I was a little upset. After seeing the look on my face (no words needed), rooms started coming available. 1st room had food in the fridge, microwave and under the couch cushions. (Flattened McDonalds burrito in the wrapper - very nice) The bathroom sink had standing water in it. 2nd room bath tub had been painted over and the paint was flaking/peeling up. Not terrible but not giving my 10 month old a bath in that.(rooms were on 1st floor with tobacco smoke smell) 3rd room - (2nd floor) came available after the manager and 2 employees cleaned it in 10 minutes. It was spotless. The cleanliness doesnt bother me so much as the "no rooms available" and "it will be a few more hrs before its ready". The whole point of reserving a room ahead of time is so that it can be ready upon arrival. Not to mention how fast rooms came available and then how fast they cleaned one. (From check-in at 4 to arriving in final room was about 35 minutes tops) Hampton/Hilton have always been my go to hotels, Ive always been very pleased with them. This will make me question staying in one again. There were alot of maintenance things needing done. Broken stairway locks, side door did not lock, bleach spots on carpets, etc.

Location was good, but everything else not so much. It was dirty poorly decorated in the room. We also got stuck in the elevator and had the fire department come get us out. Had to ask for clean towels. Overall, I probably will not stay again.

This location isn’t clean. To be where it’s located you would think they would take better care of the hotel and give a good clean daily. The hall ways, the dusty bathrooms and nasty showers. I’m glad I only stayed 1 night. Most of the lights in the elevators was off. A lot of kids running down the hallway. The lobby was packed and extremely loud at 10pm/11pm and also the following morning. This was such an unpleasant experience.

The location was great and the overall appearance was great. My only issue was after walking around in my black socks, there was an abundance of pet hair on the bottom of my socks. It appears the carpet had not been vacuumed thoroughly. There were food crumbs on the floor that were not mine. The desk chair had pet hair and crumbs on it as well. I would suggest getting a hand-held vacuum and possibly a more UPDATED carpet vacuum.

Within an hour of arriving and checking in, we had to switch rooms because it was infested with ants. They are we’re all the way around the entire ceiling and down the wall. They were in the bed as well. Then when the rest of our family arrived, their room had ants as well and they had to be moved to the 5th floor. Room wasn’t very clean. Hampton Inn is usually my go to place to stay, but extremely disappointed overall. Staff was not overly friendly about it and they didn’t even offer a discount for the inconvenience.

Upon arrival room was not ready. After waiting the room we were assigned was not clean. They moved us to a second room where the bed linens appeared dirty. There was dust and spilled coffee on the desk. Unfortunately our experience with this hotel was not good at all.

We liked the room and being on the first floor since we had two dogs with us. We found plenty of places nearby for supper and a bit of shopping. We would prefer a room HVAC that allowed more steady airflow instead of the strong cycling on and off in order to control humidity a bit better. A guide on how to get to e.g. The Summit without dealing with US-280 would be helpful for new travelers, but we did figure this out. We were visiting places in Mountain Brook and the Highland area in Birmingham and found the location convenient.

Air conditioning was inadequate and kept the room damp the entire time. The front desk wasn’t friendly at all. The shower door wouldn’t stay closed which flooded the floor in the bathroom. Just an overall disappointing stay for the price of the room. Oh and the pool was so nasty the boys couldn’t even swim.

We had a great time at this hotel. Room was spacious, clean and nesr lots of restaurants amd shoppimg. Cracker Barrell if you know about it is just across the street. Beds were comfortable and the wifi worked well. Breakfast was really good and hot and fresh and free.

Wide gap between door and door frame. Door was damaged on the outside. We could hear talking from another room in the bathroom. Lounge was very noisy in the evening due to people watching TV.

Email from Hotels.com indicated we could check in beginning at 6 a.m. Arrived at the hotel at 1:30 p.m., and was told there would be a $50 fee for checking in before 3 p.m. Explained that the Hotels.com emails all had the 6 a.m. time listed, but hotel management refused to waive the fee.

Upon check in the staff member was extremely rude. She told me I had to pay even tho I had prepaid for my room on June 19. Once we got to our room it was not the room I had booked. I booked two queen and got a king with a sleeper sofa. When I asked the lady about it she told me that is what I booked even tho I was showing her otherwise. She told me to go find another hotel if I didn’t like it. The room had a terrible smell or mildew, the carpet was wet in several spots, the shower was dirty. While sitting in our room another person entered our room with a key. The lady at front desk had given her a key as if it was double booked. I was never actually charged the payment she demanded so I’m thinking she got two customers mixed up. The problem was that she was not willing to investigate the issue at all, even tho it was her fault. Issues aside the hotel is nice but that one staff member was absolutely terrible. The lady that was there Saturday morning was extremely nice and appalled but what took place Friday night.

Again was greeted by the same unfriendly staff member who did not have my room ready. The same was told the person arriving behind me. She did not give me the double queen beds I asked for and made me wait. She told the next person that she had no reservation which was proven untrue. She told me that I had no reservation also the last time I checked in at this location. I also had to prove her wrong. I believe her name is Linda. She is unfriendly, and rude to incoming guests who are tired from traveling. All she said was “Give me 10…”. (Whatever that means…)

We really enjoyed our stay at the Hampton Inn! The room was cozy and the bed was very comfortable. My husband had an appointment at the Grandview Physician’s Center which was very close to the hotel. Our stay was a great one!

Air didn’t work in lobby breakfast area or hallways, during breakfast there was too many things plugged in so it kept tripping the breaker to shut off. Couldn’t even toast bagels . No chair for desk in room, no ironing board cover no iron, no hair dryer, floor in bathroom was gross, hair in shower, floor was soaked in room , couldn’t regulate temp bc it was trying to compensate for the hotness outside of room . I spoke with manager before leaving and she is supposed to give me points for honors rewards to compensate and was willing to make sure those things were taken care of. She was extremely nice. But my $200 stay seemed more like a $60 stay

The front desk gave us a key to someone else’s room who happen to have 3 dogs. We opened the door to growling and barking! When we went back to the front desk to let her know, her response was “oh really?”. No apology, nothing. Also, breakfast was pretty much bare! Very disappointed and not worth what we paid.

Check-in was done very well. Down hill after that. Next morning, a Tuesday, we were met with no hot breakfast because teenagers had eaten it all "last week." One would assume that local management would have addressed that situation. There are grocery stores nearby. Second failure was upon returning after a long hot day and finding the room had not been cleaned, beds unmade, no fresh towels or cups. Far below the standard of a Hampton Inn.
