Very few drawbacks other than the pool was closed for renovations and the elevator did not work. However, they did notify us and we were able to get first floor accomodations as my sister would not have been able to negotiate the stairs. Only other drawback is the carpeting. Hard to keep carpets clean in high traffic accomodations. Not a big fan of carpeting. Otherwise everything was ver clean and comfortable.

Almost everything was excellent. Room was clean-setting and furniture one of the best I’ve experienced at any other hotel. The entire staff very helpful and friendly. Only rating on condition down one peg. The elevator out of order-things happen. The sink in bathroom very slow to drain-needs to be snaked. Room 308-reported to cleaning staff. Overall-one of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed in. Great job! 👏

Price was good, staff was friendly, breakfast was served daily, good for a quick bite to be able to head out and start the day without wasting time at a restaurant. The only downside was that the elevator was out of service because it was being repaired. But otherwise I will definitely stay the next time I’m in Carlisle.

Downside: Pool and spa area closed, looks like it will be a while due to the state of demolition in the area. Outside has a lot of traffic noise, not bad in the room till some trucker lays on the engine brake. Right at the Turnpike entrance and a truck stop across the street.

The front desk was friendly and helpful which I appreciated. The room itself was dirty. There were tons of dead bugs on the window shade inside the room and also some dead bugs or bug poop on top of the comforter when we came back from dinner. This means while we were out getting dinner a bug, mouse, roach etc

Very disappointed. We stopped for an overnight after hours of driving and the minute we entered the hotel smelled musty. The elevator was not operational so they moved us to 1st floor. There were fans where there was an obvious large water leak. The wall paper in the hall was falling off the walls and taped up! Our room ceiling was filled with water damage and the linens smelled musty. We didn’t sleep well due to the odor. The staff at breakfast was very friendly, as were the cleaning personnel in the hallways.

I got a great price on this room and it was pretty clean in the actual room except for hair in the shower. The staff is extremely nice and the facility isn’t in too bad of shape. My only problem was an awful moldy mildew water smell in the halls and a sewer smell in my room. If the bad smells weren’t an issue, I could give this hotel 5 stars.

The employees were all so acclimatizing. The room was very clean and comfortable. The outside of the hotel was very nice and there was plenty of parking. The ceiling was dripping over the shower. The hall way carpeting was very old and worn. The wall paper was coming off in the hallway.

Room 120 was musty and moldy. Found mold in one of the drawers. They moved us to 126. Was there a week with my daughter so she could attend a summer ballet intensive. Room 126 was just as bad. My eyes, nose and sinuses were burning from the must and mold.

The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The room was clean and a good size. They provided plenty of towels and offered other toiletries should we need it. If I had to complain about anything, it would be the minimal lighting in the room. With regards to the bathroom, it was very clean and well stocked, but the water pressure from the tap in the sink was very weak and the water got only lukewarm at best. The water pressure in the shower was good, but the tap controlling the temperature was loose so it kept getting very hot. As well, the shower head was broken and I couldn’t change the spray from pulsing. Lastly, the sound from the hallway seemed amplified so every time other guests went to their rooms, it was extremely loud in ours. Once they entered their room, it was very quiet however. Overall, it wasn’t a bad stay. The helpfulness of the staff makes up for its shortfalls.

Easy check in and the Receptionist was very nice. Rooms are unique. A bit dark due to the colours used. But comfortable beds and a good sized bathroom. We thought our room would be noisey as it was just down the hall from Reception. But it was fine.

Room was very nice, spacious and clean, just watch out for the very low…. Toilet! Felt like I was going to sit on the floor. Not sure if they are all like that but room 127 was!! We will definitely go back there when traveling through PA.

The common areas of the hotel and our room were all clean. Unfortunately, the elevators were not working due to being serviced. While using the stairs to get to the 3rd floor was not, physically, a problem for us, it may have been for other guests. We would have preferred the room to be colder than 65 overnight. I would love if all hotels would put magnifying mirrors in the bathroom. They are essential for those of us who are far-sighted.

Our stay was very good. The room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast good, and the hostess for breakfast extremely friendly. The main complaint we had was that the heater in the room is very loud as it turns on and shuts down making sleep difficult. Other than that, our stay was positive.

Busy place even late but no one is at the desk. The elevator was down and we were on the third floor with two babies, a crib, and car seat. The floors are obviously dirty with that public area patterned upholstery- you know the gaudy stuff. The beds were clean and comfortable and the shower was hot, tv worked well. Couldn’t change the temp on the ac unit. The lights outside are painfully bright but I think that is a good safety feature. Not an awful place but not as good as the ratings would have you think.

The man at the counter had lost his password and could not access computer. We waited in the lobby for 45 minutes. It was late, we were tired and we were the only guests checking in. He explained that he could not tell which rooms might be occupied. I suggested that he could knock on a door to see if a room was available/occupied. Which he finally did.

Stacy at the front desk was awesome, as was everyone else whom I encountered during my stay. Some of the nicest and most accommodating people I’ve encountered in my numerous hotel stays. 10/10 would recommend staying here.

This hotel did not provide us the room that was booked on-line and prepaid for ahead of time. The elevator was broken and they said they could only offer us a room on the third floor. Room A/C was insufficient for summertime stay on the 3rd floor. Promised a refund the night of check in - but none received after 5 days now. 4 Calls to Property manager and none returned or acknowledged. Breakfast staff seemed to be hard working and very kind.

Every person on the staff was friendly and helpful. They went out of their way to provide the best service possible and asked if there was anything else they could do for us multiple times a day. Elevator was out of order. We were booked into a room that was already occupied. Had to go back down stairs got them to be moved to another room. They never cleaned the room second day and restocked towels, etc. I mentioned twice about compensation for the Inconvenience s and was ignored by both women. The water in shower ran continuously as the know wasn’t tight. Sad, very sad. Won’t pay to stay there again, ever!

We were happily impressed with Larkspur Landing (which we had never heard of!). The room was clean, spacious and comfortable and had every desired amenity. And wow what a wonderful breakfast menu! The lady server there was very helpful and friendly. We will definitely seek to stay here again if we are ever on this route. Our only negative observation was the smell in the air outside from a local sewage plant, which even entered the room. But turning on the a/c seemed to take it away.

Good location. Clean room. Accommodating staff. Breakfast was ok, but not bad for what it was. Downside: Pool and spa area closed, looks like it will be a while due to the state of demolition in the area. Outside has a lot of traffic noise, not bad in the room till some trucker lays on the engine brake. Right at the Turnpike entrance and a truck stop across the street.

Excellent breakfast. Very nice facility. Long walk to anything else. Very helpful staff. Very nice room. Only flaw was that the elevator was out of service.

I can’t say enough about this hotel. For the price you can’t beat it. I’m from around the area and it’s in a very safe. The breakfast has a huge variety. The staff is excellent.

With such a great room rate I was a bit skeptical about the hotel. What a pleasant surprise! The hotel was spotless and the room was large. Vicki at the front desk was extremely friendly and informative. The breakfast was better than expected and the staff there were eager to ensure you enjoyed your first meal of the day!

Trip was wonderful. Room was beautiful and everything was great! Will plan to stay there on our next trip through to Maine and back. Breakfast was wonderful. It was a full house at 6am with a big group of young teenage boys and she kept everything full and ready!

Room 216 was huge for a single traveler! Could have easily accommodated four adults with plenty of room to spare! Star in the breakfast area was always welcoming and available for your morning feast! The breakfast offered many things not normally seen in other hotels...
