When I approached the hotel I noticed the sign light was off.The parking lot was loaded with people walking around like zombies. I made a u-turn and left. Never went in. This was about 11:00 pm. My wife called to cancel the reservation. She spoke to Jason who may or may not have been at the hotel. Like I said all lights were off. Travelers need to know this is not a safe place to be

The PTAC setting for air conditioning was stuck on 61 degrees. The light over the sink in the bathroom area didn't come on. The front desk staff came over and tried to help but wasn't able to. Lots of people hanging out in front of our room until 3am being very loud. Lots of trash on the grounds. Was promised a refund for Saturday night but haven't received it. Breakfast was fine.

This place was not at all what it appeared from pictures. The second we pulled into the parking lot, we knew it would not be safe for our family to even step foot out of our vehicle. Parking lot was not well-lit, outdoor entrances to rooms were littered with garbage. We wound up with a room up the street at Red Roof and were very pleased. Would never recommend this Days Inn to anyone!

When we pulled into the parking lot, the hotel didn’t look ANYTHING like the pictures that were posted online. We drove around the entire property. The outside garbage cans were overflowing, like they haven’t been emptied in a week, and trash all over the place. The curtains were half hanging off the windows. Looked very unkept. We turned around and didn’t even go inside. Figured if the outside looked that bad, we didn’t want even see the inside. We wound up staying at a different hotel up the street and canceling this reservation! If I could give it zero stars, I would!

When we pulled up to the room, there was cop cars in parking lot and police officers banging on one of the other room’s door. The A/C filter was dirty, the sofa bed was ripped up, bugs and fruit flys in the room. Barely hot water. Ice bucket in room but no ice machine available.

The appliance was not working, TV only had one channel. I had to ask desk manager to work the ice machine which looked like was not clean property. Desk manager came to the room to check out TV and they could not fix. I could not believe it.

Stay away! Absolutely disgusting. The room has knats/flying insects everywhere. There were cobwebs in the corners of the room and a cellar spider in the bathtub. We could not stay there the night, we left immediately.

The pictures are NOT of this property. It was extremely run down and dirty. Many homeless people just hanging around the area. The smell of marijuana was very strong even in our non smoking room. The lady next door was extremely loud between her throwing up. Walls are very thin. Toilet wouldn't shut off. Safety latch on door was loose Person behind the desk seemed oblivious to any shady business going on, but asked for an excellent review after we checked out. Price was more than a better hotel we stayed at the night before

I requested a non smoking room. The room had a stench of cigarette smoke. I talked with two other people who had rooms and they complained of the smoke as well. I went to get my money back and was told that they could not refund me because i booked thru Expedia. I just left and stayed with my son at his house

The front desk lady was very nice the room was a king and dirty burns in the blanket mold on dirty shower curtain was up all night with lights on because my girl got bitten we looked and didn't see anything.. Couldn't sleep after that . Couldn't afford to leave in middle of the night.but by 5am I looked down and a bed bug was on me! Got a picture. Very disappointed in my stay and posting false pictures of the motel room! Ruined our special anniversary night! Oh and all night people outside yelling being disrespectful.. We threw away clothes and we've been up 23 hours!

My stay was pretty awful. When I arrived to my room late at night, the lights were out but the tv was on. I thought someone was in there but they were not. The room hadn't been cleaned well enough for me. I've attached a photo of the sticky night table. The bathtub looked totally grungy. I attached a photo of that too and the front door didn't feel very secure. There were strange dips in the floor, totally uneven, felt like it was caving in. The worst part is that there were some people in a very loud, profanity laced confrontation right outside of my window for what felt like hours. I don't know if it ever got violent because I finally fell asleep. I never felt safe in the room so I slept in my dress. I'll never stay there again. The only positive thing I can say is that the staff was nice and professional.

The flooring was warped, the refrigerator had rust all over it. I booked a king room with a sofa and got a double with two chairs. The picture was not that room. The door had a piece of wood added to the frame like it had been kicked in. I was already running late to my party so I freshened up there and left. Too scared to stay there, made the two hour+ drive back home rather than spend the night there.

Place was gross.. the girl across the way said her room had roaches..TV didn’t work.. the door looked like it was kicked in & poorly repaired.. low buying time!! Kinda scary if I’d have to say!! hard to get a good night sleep if you’re worried about bug crawling on you..very, very unhappy & disappointed!!! Definitely never again!!

Room was not anything like the picture's online. Burn holes on bed spread and was supposed to be a non smoking room. Door had trouble latching. Heater was not very warm and the filters had not been cleaned for a long time. Tv wouldn't come on and there was not a phone in room to call office.

The door locks were poorly maintained. The handle frequently stuck and the deadbolt didn’t line up with the slot. I reserved a non-smoking room, which reeked of cigarette smoke. There were literal holes on the bottoms of the walls. The shower head was so filthy that the water shot out in random directions. My bed sheets were dirty from the moment I walked in. The toilet seat was circular but the toilet was an oval, so the seat slid on every use. Because I checked in so late in the evening, I had no alternative. If, in the future, this was my only hotel option for a trip to Dover, I would just cancel my trip.

This was a Thanksgiving night, 11/23/23 check-in. When I got to my room there was no heat. Outside temp was mid 40's with overnight lows to be in low 30s I checked yo make sure the unit was plugged in. Returned to the office and was told twice the heat will not come on. Finally she changed me to another room. Before moving my possessions, I made sure there was heat in the room. Them I moved everything to the 2nd room. After getting settled I turned on the TV.. All that came on was a "No Signal" box that moved around the screen. I found that cable adapter cord behind the TV base on the TV table, unplugged. Plugged it and waited about 15 minutes for Direct TV to reinstall itself. Then a channel came on, Telemundo, the Spanish TV network. However the remote ONLY worked to turn TV on/off, Mute sound. NOTHING else worked. By this time it was nearly 10PM and, by coincidence, Telemundo was carrying the Thursday night NFL game, so I turned off the audio, got the audio on my iPhone and watched the game for awhile. Totally unsatisfactory, although the room and everything in it was clean and neat, although the bathroom, especially the toilet needs upgrading. The website indicates "full breakfast". Obviously a misstated "perk". anything but a full breakfast. Fortunately there was an excellent diner nearby for breakfast.

I requested a non smoking room. The room had a stench of cigarette smoke. I talked with two other people who had rooms and they complained of the smoke as well. I went to get my money back and was told that they could not refund me because i booked thru Expedia. I just left and stayed with my son at his house

This was the dirtiest, most broken down hotel I've ever stayed at. The "sofa" was broken and you couldn't sit, the bathroom walls, floor, shower were stained, broken, paint peeling. There were hookers and drugs being used in the rooms next to us. I have never felt so unsafe. We didn't stay but since we booked through the app we couldn't get a refund. I have never been so disappointed or shocked at the deplorable state of a hotel. Having said all that, the front desk lady was very friendly.

My stay was pretty awful. When I arrived to my room late at night, the lights were out but the tv was on. I thought someone was in there but they were not. The room hadn't been cleaned well enough for me. I've attached a photo of the sticky night table. The bathtub looked totally grungy. I attached a photo of that too and the front door didn't feel very secure. There were strange dips in the floor, totally uneven, felt like it was caving in. The worst part is that there were some people in a very loud, profanity laced confrontation right outside of my window for what felt like hours. I don't know if it ever got violent because I finally fell asleep. I never felt safe in the room so I slept in my dress. I'll never stay there again. The only positive thing I can say is that the staff was nice and professional.

When I approached the hotel I noticed the sign light was off.The parking lot was loaded with people walking around like zombies. I made a u-turn and left. Never went in. This was about 11:00 pm. My wife called to cancel the reservation. She spoke to Jason who may or may not have been at the hotel. Like I said all lights were off. Travelers need to know this is not a safe place to be

The entire property was dirty and the trash cans/dumpster was overflowing. We booked our reservation in December 2024 and the property had good reviews. It was overpriced, the "breakfast" area was filled with boxes and used as a storage room. There also were questionable ladies standing on the curb and walking around the property. The city of Dover should inspect this property for multiple code violations.

You all book at this hotel if you want to! It is a migrant holdover which is really not the problem the problem is the syringes strewn about the ground in front of the room windows. The drug users slumped over across the walkway and in front of doors, the linen (clean) is transported in a trash can and the room smells of pure marijuana!!! The photos on Expedia are NOT of THIS motel because that is what this is!!! Expedia has no business even advertising this place on their site! The most disgusting place I have ever seen! I refused to stay cancelled before check in and they would not refund my $223!

This place was not at all what it appeared from pictures. The second we pulled into the parking lot, we knew it would not be safe for our family to even step foot out of our vehicle. Parking lot was not well-lit, outdoor entrances to rooms were littered with garbage. We wound up with a room up the street at Red Roof and were very pleased. Would never recommend this Days Inn to anyone!

When we pulled into the parking lot, the hotel didn’t look ANYTHING like the pictures that were posted online. We drove around the entire property. The outside garbage cans were overflowing, like they haven’t been emptied in a week, and trash all over the place. The curtains were half hanging off the windows. Looked very unkept. We turned around and didn’t even go inside. Figured if the outside looked that bad, we didn’t want even see the inside. We wound up staying at a different hotel up the street and canceling this reservation! If I could give it zero stars, I would!

The pictures are NOT of this property. It was extremely run down and dirty. Many homeless people just hanging around the area. The smell of marijuana was very strong even in our non smoking room. The lady next door was extremely loud between her throwing up. Walls are very thin. Toilet wouldn't shut off. Safety latch on door was loose Person behind the desk seemed oblivious to any shady business going on, but asked for an excellent review after we checked out. Price was more than a better hotel we stayed at the night before

1st room I checked into smelled like someone was currently smoking cigarettes and marijuana in. Thankfully, I went to the frontdesk and they immediately changed my room. My new room did not have any smoking smells thankfully. However, the tv did not work, as it only had 1 channel and the bathroom tub was filthy. Later that evening, I heard a couple guys out in the parking lot, the next thing you know I had one of the guys trying to get into my room. His key actually worked for my door and he tried to open it and proceeded 2-3x's to bust thru the lock/latch on the door. When I opened the door and asked what was going on, he stated he thought it was his room and could not understand why it was locked, which is why he was trying to push thru the door. I asked to check out the very next morning. When I explained to the front desk, they stated they look at camera each morning and did not see anything. I asked them to come to my room to see the busted latch on the door. My wife and daughter were scared out of their minds the rest of the night. I always stay at Wyndham's. However, I would not encourage anyone to stay at this place. Especially if you have your family with you. I am quite surprised Wyndham would have their name stamped to this place. I never judge a book by its cover but man my instincts were correct on this one as soon as I pulled in. Property was so unsafe i didnt check in at all. They got drug addicts high all around the facility. Then on top of that they charged me ant way for not cancelling. All around experience was horrible like a nightmare. Extremely stressful experience while visiting dover delaware. I wouldnt recommend this place to my worst enemy.

I’m not typically one to complain, but the room had some issues. The fridge was leaking, which puddled on the floor, shower was dripping, paint peeling all around the sink, tissue box was empty, curtains were falling off, killed 5 flies within the first 30 minutes of being there, and the room smelled very musty. They had a breakfast but when they gave us a bagel with frozen cream cheese, ugh, the we couldn’t wait to move on. Way overpriced for what we got. We’ve always had great experiences at Quality Inns, but this one was far from Quality.

The PTAC setting for air conditioning was stuck on 61 degrees. The light over the sink in the bathroom area didn't come on. The front desk staff came over and tried to help but wasn't able to. Lots of people hanging out in front of our room until 3am being very loud. Lots of trash on the grounds. Was promised a refund for Saturday night but haven't received it. Breakfast was fine.

The place was dirty, furniture falling apart, breakfast was a joke (toast, cold coffee, fruit), employees that didn't speak English or had to use an app on phone to translate, we asked for our money back didn't get it, had to stay because it was race weekend no other rooms available. No toilet paper in rooms had to ask in lobby, had coffee pot no coffee, floors weren't clean anywhere, the sign was falling apart, the gym wasn't open look in window was an unusable room that had some equipment but paint cans all over the floor, paid for a queen size bed got a full-size bed, had dirty sheets, the parking lot had garbage all over the place, TV had problems with remote also had a remote that didn't belong with the TV. I guess they make ends meet but housing the homeless. For a name brand it was the pits, should be shut down because it is a health hazard and gives Wyndham a bad name. I suggest that we should get a full refund from Expedia, Wyndham and a written apologize. I've stayed at Wyndham hotels before but nothing like this one. I will never stay at a Wyndham hotel again.

Upset with myself for not checking reviews prior to booking. Every part of the room was dirty like walls, floors, headboards, windows, shower etc. Bedding had crumbs between sheet and top sheet. Included breakfast was a loaf of bread and some peanut butter and jelly packets. Cold Coffee that turned grey when milk added. Looks like ladies working the parking lot at night. Took a few days before I was rid of the smoke smell on my clothes and I stopped feeling itchy.

We run a lot of weekend trips and have stayed in many kinds of places. This one was the worst, and we felt ripped off the moment we entered the room, certainly not worth $125 a night. If I wasn't so tired, we would have left immediately. The room had a funny smell. The air conditioner temperature would not go lower than 76, although the room was easily around 84. Only two towels in the room, no washcloths or hand towels. No cups. The freezer in the refrigerator was overflowing with condensation ice. We discovered it started to defrost when we found our wet stuff inside the next morning. The Directv service did not work; it appeared as if the place hadn't paid the bill. We called the desk several times with no answer. We went to the lobby and explained what was happening. Twenty minutes later, the desk clerk came to look at it. He couldn't fix it and made several excuses before leaving. We discovered the toilet was filthy, the bowl coated with a layer of what looked like black dirt. Obviously hadn't been cleaned in a while. The shower pressure was so weak it should have been called a dribble rather than a shower. The king size bed had only two thin pillows. We made it through the night anyway and proceeded to check out the promised free breakfast. What a joke; there was only cereal and some juice. No coffee, no tea, no eggs, no pancakes and no waffles. We checked out and went to the nearby Waffle House. Fellow travellers: AVOID THIS PLACE!
