This hotel needs a lot of upgrades. The floors were really nasty. It felt like the carpets haven’t been cleaned in years. It was sticky moist carpet, the bedding the same. The breakfast was inedible. Luckily there was a nice to place to grab coffee and a yummy breakfast near by. A two minute walk called Mama Anna. This hotel will not be a repeat.

The first thing I noticed when I walked in was the musty, dirty smell coming from the carpets which have stains all over them. My room floor was slightly “tacky” all over from the built up dirt/grime and who knows what has been spilled on it in the past. The bathroom has a knob style timer that you have to crank for a maximum of 30 minutes and it will shut off on you even if you’re in the bathroom. The free breakfast was good quality and included a waffle bar, scrambled eggs, sausage, and other hot foods as well as different packaged items and fruit. I didn’t visit the pool. For $280/night, I expect the cleanliness to be much better - at least not smelly and sticky. I would not stay here again.

We were greeted with a very pleasant and friendly check-in clerk. However, upon check-in, it was clear to us that the bathroom was not cleaned properly. There were remnants (and I'll leave it at that) of the previous occupants. That was enough to gross my wife out and she wasn't comfortable staying. It was late and we had traveled the whole day, we just went to bed. Hotel was dated and it is not in Portsmouth (it's close), but it's not Portsmouth. It was located in a pretty industrial/commercial area. The common areas were tidy, and it seemed like the owners attempted to keep the property up, it's just dated. The breakfast area was clean and well stocked and breakfast was good. Not a total loss, but after we saw that the bathroom was not clean, we were grossed out and not terribly comfortable to stay.

This property was diagusting. I checked in with my family and has to check out immediately the bed had stains the wall looked like blood stains the smell is was disguising no air circulation at all and the bathroom was nasty. And they still charged me for a night I will fight this because I didn’t stay there I had to leave and rent a near by hotel because of how disgusting it was. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE!

I would rate the property itself as average. Hotel could use updating in rooms and common areas. Staff was very friendly upon check in and anyone we saw for the one night stay. The breakfast preparer was very friendly. Rooms was comfortable, bed was comfortable. However the room and linens could have been cleaner. There was lint and paper at the corners of furniture where a vacuum hose would clean this sufficiently for the next guest. There was hair on bathroom floor/tub and some on bed. I’ve worked at a hotel and a lint roller is a god sent for the stubborn hair that sticks to the floor and tub. Lint roller could also be used to clean hair off of linens. A simple roll over makes a huge difference for guests. Pool area was clean, didn’t use the amenities but decent size pool and hot tub. Breakfast was good, not much selection but tasted good overall. Biggest complaint was old TV in the room, very slow changing channels and no channel guide. So old that people on TV had part of their heads cut off because of the sizing on current shows and very outdated TV that couldn’t project the picture properly and old sounding speakers. The exposed breaker box looks kind of dangerous for small children, none in my party but still didn’t seem right to have out in the open.
