Fairfield Inn & Suites Valparaiso

Great place to stay. One of the best breakfasts I have ever had. Pool area clean. Unfortunately, hot tub was not working. Our room was clean and beds very comfortable. Management staff are excellent and easy to work with. Check out was a breeze. We were in Valpo, to visit family. We would definitely stay here again.

Property was fine. Very outdated. Hot tub was out of order and pool has seen better days. Exercise room had good equipment, but could be better ventilated. Breakfast was comparable to other places. Overall OK for a night or two, wouldn’t strongly recommend for a longer stay.

I purposely picked a hotel with a pool and hot tub. When me and my son go down to the pool it looks dirty, the hot tub has been closed and hidden behind a wall, and the water in the pool was ice cold.

The TV picture was poor quality. The hot tub was not functioning even though the advertise a hot tub. very disappointing...

The room was good. I used my phone to look at the website for Fairfield Inn and Suites by Marriott Valparaiso. Had I scrolled down a bit further I would have seen it was under major renovations. That is my fault. Had I known I would have picked a different place to stay. Too bad they didn't offer a lower price due to most areas being off limits.

Hotel was under renovations & pool was not open

Hotel was nice, I just wouldn’t stay here again til renovation is complete. Would have been nice to yes pool and it was closed.

The ataff was wonderful but the hotel was underrenovation had no pool or spa . Will not until 2027 had we known that we choosen a different hotel.

Gym was dismal with barely anything. The pool was disgusting and the room fell apart. Shower was amazing though

Clean rooms, great staff. Hot tub out of service. These thing can be easily updated on website. I chose this hotel for that, but was disappointed.

We drove over 4 hours for a wedding. I had called earlier in the week to see about getting an early check in because check in was at 3 and the wedding was at 4. The guy was nice and said to call the night before but it shouldn’t be a problem. I called the night before and spoke to a very kind girl who said that she would put it in the system and that she can almost guarantee we’d get it but to call back the next morning when we were in 2 hours away to let them know we were coming. I called on our way and spoke to someone who I’m assuming is a manager. She was extremely rude and said they do not offer early check ins at all. I explained to her that the two previous employees I spoke to said they do and that it shouldn’t be a problem. She said that’s not true and that she would speak to those employees. She did not want to give us an early check in at all and was very rude to me on the phone, explaining that checkout is at noon and there is no way she could clean all of those rooms in time for me to check in early. She eventually said that she would get my number just in case a room is available but kept repeating that the earliest she could help “if I can help at all” would be at 2 pm. I told her that was fine and sure enough, she called at exactly 2 pm on the dot. The hotel itself was decently nice. The bathrooms hadn’t fully been cleaned all the way and the shower didn’t work at all. The walls were paper thin so we heard everything all night. I wouldn’t recommend.

Very nice and clean

This is the second time we stayed at the Fairfield Inn in Valparaiso. Every single employee there, including the cleaning staff are very friendly. We also appreciate how clean this hotel was. It was very nice to return to our room after a long day out to find fresh towels, trash emptied, sinks and tub cleaned, floor vacuumed and bed made!

Came for VU graduation. Bed was very comfortable!! Room & bathroom very clean! Hot breakfast had good selection. Staff was helpful and efficient. Conscientious to campus, restaurants, stores. Would stay again! Only minor thing: I was hoping to go in the hot tub but it was out of order.

So many hotels have been getting very lax in their cleanliness. We thought that the hotel was newly renovated, it was that clean. That said that they were actually getting ready to renovate! VERY nice, helpful staff!

Samantha at front desk was very helpful... Had to switch rooms, couch was stained badly with what looked like blood. The cassette/CD radio is useless and the bed was not very comfortable. Breakfast was good. Looks like they're trying to make updates though

Noisy late night

NOT sound proof!! Squeaky floors, we heard people upstairs having sex and walking around as lol night. It wasxTERRIBLE!!! 0 Stars!!!

Breakfast was good. The room was crazy hot, like at least 80 degrees. We ran the AC all night, in December.

Samantha at front desk was very helpful... Had to switch rooms, couch was stained badly with what looked like blood. The cassette/CD radio is useless and the bed was not very comfortable. Breakfast was good. Looks like they're trying to make updates though

Most of the staff were excellent. Clean and confortable. Deeana Manual was very eager to help and seek solutions to my request. My only issue was with the manager Richard Rainey. He was not too eager to help or suggest alternatives to my issues and request. I never felt confortable asking him for anything. But in general I would recommend your hotel to friends and family.

The manager was rude and unhelpful

Construction work lasted into evenings and on weekend. One of the staff was very rude.accused me of hiding dogs when I had it in reservation and had already paid the fee.

My son was not allowed to check in even though he is an adult. The age policy was no where on the Expedia site before I paid for the room.

When I made the reservation, it was not clear that I would need to pay a $75 fee for having a pet in the room. Orbitz needs to make it clear to user making reservations.

Fridge wasnt getting cold food went bad. The hotel conveniently located

We were visiting the Dunes but wanted a quiet and safe place to stay. The hotel is located incredibly close to Valparaiso University and also to Highway 30. Short drive to a lot of local dining downtown. We found it to be a great place to stay.

It was a typical stay at the Fairfield! All was good. I would like to have had some flavored creamer options for the coffee bar.

Everything was okay but the breakfast was below what we have had in other motels!!
