Quality Inn Vienna - Tysons Corner

There was no working elevator. I am nearly 75 years old and had to carry all my luggage up three flights of stairs. We were there for 6 days and had to walk up and down the stairs every time we left the room. The breakfast was okay. The location near a metro was good. It was very noisy outside our room well past midnight.

Good: It does have a pool with (what seemed like) a lifeguard. They check the pool levels at least once a day. -Affordable- you just need to have low expectations! (I would not stay again!) -Most of the staff are fairly friendly -The surrounding area is nice. Very close to a metro stop and many places to eat around. Only about 30 minutes to DC Bad: we reserved a room facing the garden but got a room facing a stairwell -We reserved a non smoking room but in the room next to us they smoked weed (a common smell throughout the non smoking side), making our room (particularly bathroom) reek! -Not the cleanest! (Had gunk on the wall, the door was nasty, some things looked like they hadn’t been cleaned in ages! But main stuff was fine like bed and bathroom) -Breakfast was lackluster but provided! Had coffee, toast, mini muffin, cereal, and very sad looking eggs and sausage. -There was some drama one morning and mild noise each night (fairly close rooms so you can hear a lot of what’s going on)

The pool was very nice, could have stayed open a bit later. Pretty green courtyard with benches and a gazebo. Short hop to Wolftrap park. The room was clean and comfortable.

There was a dead cockroach in the middle of the floor when we woke up. Rooms are also not very sound proof as construction was heard and whenever someone passed by our door from outside. We wanted to buy a few bottles of water from the vending machine but it would dispense after we paid. The front desk person also instructed us the only water is the vending machine and didn’t tell us there was a water fountain hidden in the corner of the room.

Conveniently located near train station, Walmart and restaurants. Free breakfast, swimming pool included.

We needed a place for one night and this establishment did the trick, with no frills. The property is aged but clean and reasonably well maintained. Free parking and an adequate if unexciting breakfast made it feel like good value for money. We were disappointed, however that the outdoor pool was already closed for the season on September 10, despite 85-degree temps that week and despite factoring in a dip in a pool when we chose where to stay. The Expedia ratings are about where we landed on our rating, but you do get what you pay for in the expensive DC area.

I go to this hotel 3 or 4 times a year when I visit DC. If it wasn’t for its location, a block from the Metro, I wouldn’t go there at all. Litter abounds on the property, stains on the concrete in front of the front doors of the lobby were evident for the full time I was there this last trip. On my last trip in August someone vomited next to the lobby and it wasn’t cleaned for some time. On this trip ice machine wasn’t working at all. The phone wasn’t hooked up…I had to call the office because a tractor trailer truck decided to park himself in the back, where my room was located, and he kept his truck idling, making noise for hours. It looked like he was going to stay there all night making noise with his truck, some called the office to complain about this…but had to hook up the phone to do this. On this trip as well I found six or seven of the very small cockroaches in the room, some even inside the microwave. I had to blast the microwave for a few minutes to kill them. Disgusting! I will start using Airbnb from this point on. The breakfast isn’t bad, but it’s been always the same…preformed eggs and sausage. You never know if the sausage is turkey or pork. You need to ask what it is. They cannot be bothered to list what it is.

Very convenient to stores and restaurants, the lady working the desk is great. Very helpful, patient, and informative. Plenty of room for bigger rigs and trailers. The only fault is the dryers don’t work good better off going to a laundry mat even though it’s a pain

Very wet inside, like humid wet even with air conditioning. Smelled. Felt unsafe. Dirty area. Dirty underwear and socks in elevator.

There were cockroaches in the room and a terrible old smell.

You have to walk outside from the room to breakfast area, so we skipped it. Bed was too firm/stiff. It seemed to be very old. Room cleanness OK but there were few spots in the carpet, and saw cockroaches. The phone and one of the lights was not working. Quality check seems to be poor

room stank, it was infested w bugs in the curtains. the sheets were stained. carpet was moist and stinky. keycards kept not working. front desk people were cool tho.

The room smelled of Pot. Recliner stained and ripped. No remote for the TV. Room on the 3rd floor and elevator didn't work. Carpet was wet and there were roacjes on the wall

previous guest's hair is stuck on the bathroom wall, and previous guest used soap is still on the soap dish in the bathtub. bathtowel have some stains on it. also A/C to noisy, we have to shut it down for sleep.

Terrible room. Wasn't cleaned properly. The chair, carpets, toilets everything was so dirty. Ants in the bathroom. Extremely poor choice that I made

I want to hate this place and god knows it is beyond in need of a refresh, seriously rough. But oddly comfortable beds and possibly the best water pressure in a shower ever. For the area unbelievably cheap and only 200 yards from a metro stop. Would probably stay again.

We chose it for location...less than 2 miles to The Cheesecake Factory! The room was heavily scented, due to cleaning products, which makes it difficult for my wife to breathe. Furnishings in room were cramped.

AC unit was very noisy and could not be turned off (even though there was an Off button on the unit). If you are sensitive to noise it could keep you awake all night. The shower valve was older and hard to use. Staff were friendly and welcoming. Breakfast was decent.

Room did not have a working microwave and fridge. Room smelled a little damp. Bed was super comfortable and that’s why I gave it four stars.

The first room I had an issue with the AC not shutting off all night. I requested a room change which they honored. Also the water coming out of the faucet was very low. They need a new maintenance person I think. The room was very small too. I did feel safe there and it’s a good location. The free breakfast isn’t too bad. More fruit would be nice.

The breakfast was good (i.e. scrambled eggs, sausage, waffles, cold cereal, yogurt, white bread, apples, and pastries.) There are 2 places to eat, a Vietnamese restaurant and a Pott-a-Belly, that are super close to walk to. If you are willing to drive, there are other restaurants, a Walmart, etc. within a short-drive. We paid for a cheap room, so the room was small, but it was clean. We felt that it was a good stay for the money. The hotel also has an elevator available if needed and there was plenty of parking. The only bummer was that the cable company does not have a guide channel, so watching TV was inconvenient. Overall, we were pleased with our stay and will stay there again. The only

I liked this was a short walk from the Spring Hill station. It's a bit of a commute to get downtown. But you are somewhat close to Dulles if you plan to visit the Air and Space Museum there. Food options were alright, a bit of a walk to get to nearby Walmart. There are more food options at the next stop Greensboro. I also like the microwave and fridge. And the price was one of the cheapest for that type of room (and breakfast options- which included sausage and egg). The really bad part was the shower design. It's a giant standing only shower where the curtain is merely for decoration. There isn't much of a lip at the bottom of the shower, so you have to aim the shower to the left away from the curtain, otherwise you're getting it on the floor. I figured that out quickly the first day.

Reasonably priced, all that we needed for a one-night stay for a one-time occasion. Room was clean and in order, bed was comfortable. On the other hand: clerk who checked us in acted bored, spoke in monosyllables. Room keycard was balky, and required repeated attempts to open the door. Lamps were in poor repair, and a floor lamp didn't work at all. door to shower didn't close. Only half of heater controls worked.

The service and the front desk are terrible. They don't even get up from their chairs when a customer arrives. The guy is lazy, rude, terrible attitude, and appears like he hates his job. The other lady is even worse being extremely loud & both of them should never be in a customer facing position. The trash bin is right outside your room and overflowing & stinking. When requested to take care of it, the attitude was.. I will try. I walked around asked the maintenance staff to help take care of it. when my keys stopped working after my 4th night (of the 7 night booking), Miguel tells me that I have to keep my cards in pocket. I told him that one is in my pocket and the other is in my car center console. And both of them stopped working. He tells me with an attitude, put both of the cards in your pocket. Then he rekeys the cards and after driving all the way to my room on the other extreme of the building, the both keys don't work again. When I go back, he sits in his chair, doesn't stand up if something is wrong, and when I dropped the keys next to his keyboard reaching out to his desk. He gives me an attitude saying I threw the keys. Now he gives me new set of cards. I was about to ask "what should I do if these new cards don't work either".Now the other customer service lady yells at me saying that I will be put on a no rent list. I walked back to my room and chatted with Expedia to cancel my remaining trip and I will checkout immediately. At93

The employee was very rude. Since I arrived 10 minutes before my entry time, she didn't want to help me. She said I had to come in until 3 pm. I got angry because she already helped another person. Since I was from her same country, she gave me the key 10 minutes before. She was racist. Named after the employee his name was Emal D

Would not check us in. Unhelpful and even condescending to us and other guests. Had to find another hotel, despite having reservation we had paid for. They refused to give another family who had checked in soap.

It was a fine stay. The favorite is quite old, but clean. The door key card kept failing and needed to be reprogramed every time when I came back to the hotel but the people at the reception was very friendly and made my stay very comfortable.

Front desk staff was extremely professional and very kind

When I checked in, the person behind the desk yelled at me, was very argumentative & aggressive in nature. This person is NOT equipped with what is necessary in business & should be fired immediately.

Based on my review, everything’s good. The female front desk agent was so accommodating and friendly, compared to the male front desk agent that doesn’t look at you while I’m talking but continues to look at the computer. Not interested in looking at the customer except probably when it’s blonde. Breakfast is superb.

Horrible stay with horrible front desk staff.

Nice clean rooms for the price. Rooms are a little dated, no big thing though. Close to the metro and restaurants. Shante at the was the only one at the front desk when I checked in. She had a lot of people waiting in line because she didn't have any help that evening. She was fast, professional and friendly and respectful. She never lost her cool. Great customer service Shante!

Not the newest place, but certainly functional and clean enough. Great value when considering the price and it’s proximity to Metro. I stayed for a night before an early Dulles departure and I arrived by Metro with luggage and the walk was easy even rolling two bags. Good stay.

The location is perfect if you aren’t traveling by car! Metro station from the airport and to Washington is max 5 minutes away. Also there are several good options in walking distance. The area is rather safe, we didn’t have any unpleasant encounters and the staff is very helpful and professional. The only downside is that the hotel itself is rather old and the breakfast offer very poor. Better also to dine outside. But overall for this price I fully recommend!

Great no frills place to stay while visiting DC. Safe area with a easy walk to metro to access DC. Free parking and local food places were good.

Convenient commute to any location

The location is prime. If you want to visit DC and save money. This is a great option, the metro is a 3 minute walk, Walmart is a 5min walk plus various restaurants.

Property is clean inside and outside. Parking was convenient and right outside the rooms. Tysons Corner shopping center is less than a mile away. Spring Hill Metro is only a 5 min walk.

The breakfast was unorganized and limited. No one was cleaning tables or emptying the overflowing trash cans. They didn’t even offer water to drink. The staff was nice and helpful to me, but I overheard other patrons complaining about things that had been wrong for them multiple times and the staff was not apologetic, just kind of argumentative. Our toilet did not work properly and my husband had to fix it so it would flush properly.

Hotel was clean, staff pleasant and accomodating. Overall it was a great value. Only downcheck was that waffle machine was not set up and operating 20 min. after breakfast started and it took awhile for employee to correct that.

Property was decently maintained. Staff was pleasant. Room was clean. However, I had no idea from booking that the room entrance was from outside. Not a deal breaker but ok. Breakfast was decent, except for the powdered eggs. They didn’t even look close to real eggs. Everything else was good.

The shower didn’t work and the breakfast wasn’t kept stocked. If stocked there was a nice variety of food. The room was clean and the staff was friendly I felt safe in the area walking to and from the metro station

I stay there often, 3 to 4 times per year. The breakfast is always the same, and can be cold by the time you reach the dining room. The coffee could be better. There’s usually not much litter on the grounds, but with this stay the slobs were visiting apparently, but they need to do a better job of cleaning the litter up. The ice machine this time wasn’t working, so I had to go to the lobby for ice. I don’t understand the prevalent use of short, non-standard size pillows these days. It doesn’t make any sense. Otherwise, it’s not a bad place to stay.

Location was convenient to the metro, but the hotel is in need of renovation. Breakfast choices are very limited.

MINUSES: The place is run down and could benefit from serious overhauling. The air conditioning is noisy; the carpets are old and dirty. Not a pleasant stay, but it did the job of providing me with a place to stay for the night. PLUSES: the breakfast! The place offers a hot breakfast that is quite decent by budget hotel standards. CONCLUSION: If you're on your own and can't afford to pay more, this place is OK, conveniently located and in a quiet area. I would've been happy to pay more for a better experience.
