Extended Stay America Suites - Washington, DC - Tysons Corner

Great! Room was clean and we had no other issues! Elevator was out of use but that wasn’t really a problem as I was only on the second floor. For the price this was a great stay! The staff were also very friendly and helpful!

Check-in took 15 mins. Called down to the front desk in the am…no answer. No ice machines.

Construction on the lobby level and in the elevators made the property look disordered, but the room was fine.

Grab and go breakfast was nutragrian bars, muffins, tea and coffee. Rooms were not clean. Maid service was at request. Ample free parking, attentive and friendly staff. Great location to metro and restaurants

The Place is not inviting at all. Lobby cold. Unappealing. They were very nice and changed my originally booked queen room to a king one, for extra charge. I cant speak for other rooms, only the one we stayed in. The room..... it stunk like a dead fish for 3 nights and 4 days. Couldn't find the source and it was no way to get rid off the smell. They gave me an air freshener. The fridge was gross. The manager came to clean it. There was hair in the corner behind the disposable cups in the bathroom. The toilet had a hard time flushing #2. Faucet in tub dripping. The noise was hideous. We were on the first floor. Waken up every night by the noise in the lobby and hallway. I got a refund on the price difference between the queen and king room. But parking is free.

We were initially assigned and given the key to a room that wasn’t ready. It was still being cleaned. They told us it would be about a 15 minute wait, but there was no place to wait. No chairs, no lounge, nothing. We requested another room and was given one. Accommodations was bare bones.

Poor TV selection…limited food on property. No ice available. But convenient and clean - -good value for price. Friendly staff. Easy access to Uber.

I want to say about my bad very bad experience with this Hotel and Expedia too….. I am sure that my review will delete….. Hotel is very bad and room was very dirty … I am in shock….towels were very old and dirty… I payed for 5 night… and left this property next morning… I couldn’t to sleep all night because of sounds and very bad bed and everything… bad bags is here too…. And I did check out next and This amazing hotel said to Expedia that I was staying 4 night…. I just very upset…. And first time I see something like that…. Don’t go to this hotel ))) it is more Motel… not hotel

Let me start by saying that this review should not be taken as a rant or lightly. It was well thought out and sadly the list of complaints went unchecked by staff. This place should not exist or be called a hotel. It is in the heart of Tysons Va and if you are familiar with this area it is mainly an upscale and very well maintained area. This place is far from that. As I checked in, this should have been a red flag, I observed a female customer that was in tattered clothing having a heated conversation with the person at the counter. The lobby smelled like a locker room and the decor felt like it was from the early 90s. Don’t be fooled by the images online. If you have a family, stay away from this hotel. When I checked in, the staff member asked if I had paid online. I was confused because, I had a prepaid reservation. Anyway, the below is a list of complaints or observations that went unchecked by staff; in no particular order. 1. Lights in the room began flickering 2. Hair on the bathroom door 3. Pubic hair on toilet seat 4. Dust balls on floor 5. Towels were stained 6. Refrigerator makes loud noises (all night) 7. People smoking weed in the parking lot 8. 2 guys on separate occasions urinating in the rear parking lot 9. Smoke alarm started chirping (staff asked me to come get the battery and install myself) 10. Bathroom door is partially off the hinge (missing a screw and door is hard to close) 11. Shower curtain has black stains 12. No towels upon demand

I’ve never seen a hotel room this dirty. The room smelled horribly and I immediately returned to the front desk and checked out of the hotel as I was too afraid to touch anything in the room.

Not a good stay, bath had mould all over the roof, the pillow case had blood marks. there was no drinking water and the vending machine was broken, these are basic amenities and must be provided. Very disappointed.

The place wasn't clean, there was other guest hair in the shower, the stink drain was flooded, and the TV channel went out on Thursday.

When I arrived I was greeted immediately even though I arrived after 10pm. I had some issues with the keys not working, but they quickly resolved that. There was a heavy Indian aroma through out the hotel. Just something to note if you are sensitive to certain scents. Where I think they failed was the cleanliness. I asked for some plates and silverware and they prided themselves on their cleanliness. But when they handed me my one plate it had dried crusty stuff on it. There was a dead bug on the kitchen counter. The floors has something spilled on them, the mirrors were not clean, the bathroom countertop was missing part of it. You didn’t want to touch anything in there. There was a cap on the TV sound. So if you had the heater or AC running you could barley here it. They say you get what you pay for and for a little over $100 a night maybe that’s on par with what you get, but I won’t be staying there again.

The room stink really bad and the bathroom ceiling over the shower was molded and the toilet was dirty inside and out the carpet was filthy

Plumbing is extremely horrible. Wall and ceiling have dirt & weird substance on them. Windows don’t shut close. Door lock is stubborn. Room smells and damp. It’s the most disgusting ever.

Property was nice as last minute booking. Room was clean but water dripping in tub and looked like black mold on area of tub under faucet near drain.

Ugh, I hate to write a bad review, but this was a disappointing stay. Let's start with the good: check-in was a breeze, they even let me check-in early, and staff was friendly. Now the bad: upon arrival, I noticed that the room was broiling hot, and the A/C was broken. Leaving the window open helped to cool the room, but at night, guests were talking loudly and smoking weed outside my window. Also, the refrigerator wasn't working properly, did not keep anything cold. The internet cut out during my stay too, so I could not use the internet, nor would the tv work. Breakfast was lackluster, just some pre-packaged muffins and coffee and tea. Nothing special. I wasn't the only guest walking away empty-handed. The worst part of the stay? Upon packing up my things in the morning, I saw a cockroach run across my room floor. This prompted me to want to check-out early, I had had enough! Then, there was no one at the front desk to check me out. Online, this hotel boasts a "newly renovated" property. Sure, you can tell that the rooms have new floors and some furniture updates, but a room with no A/C and cockroaches does not feel new. Sorry, but I do not recommend this hotel, not even at a discounted rate.

The bed had 2 rugs, one of the rugs was not clean. The TV had cable but could not see any of the cable channels. The AC machine was cold but you had to fiddle with it to keep a constant temperature

PRO: good for quick, 10 hour stay for business travel. Super close to the corporations aka main/only reason to be in McLean, VA. Fridge to store my morning cold brew. CON: for straight business only, in & out. Outdated. Towels felt like they've been in the hotel's rotation for years (off-white, yellow, thinning, not drying) and felt slightly damp. Bathroom's shower had constant drip; could not get it to stop. Didn't check in until midnight & was leaving at 7am so there was no point in calling maintenance, etc. will not re-book.

It was convenient but definitely in need of some repairs.

We checked into our room and when we got there, we realized that there was no water in the toilet tank so we couldn't flush the toilet. We tried turning it on, but that didn't work. We told the manager the issue, and he quickly moved us to the room next door. Part of the closet was broken, the outlets were loose, and although clean, it isn't well-maintained. Also, neither of the 2 rooms had nightstands on both sides of the bed although there is plenty of room for one on either side.

The room was fine a little older. My biggest problem was that the pillows were as fluffy as a firm pancake. Kinda felt like dollar store pillows

It is a minimally furnished extended stay. Nice refrigerator and microwave but hard to wash dished or cook anything other than prepared frozen meals.

It was fairly quiet, however the rooms could be upgraded. The A/C was very noisy!

I must say, my stay at Extended Stay Tyson's Corner in Vienna has been nothing short of excellent. The hotel staff were extremely helpful, kind, polite.. Nagwa went above and beyond to make sure that i had everything i needed; from my kitchen supplies to directions to the FedEx office, i felt so comfortable and was able to destress after a very hectic and busy week of late hours and alot of well, work! The hotel was always quiet, and had the qualities of a higher end hotel honestly.. highly recommend

Overbooked, got in at midnight and didnt have a room. Staff totally overwhelmed. Stay elsewhere

The front desk Nagua was very friendly and attentive to all my needs I wish everyone was as curtious as she was. My experience was wonderful because of her.

The room is okay and the location is good for the price. They need more people in the hotel because there’s usually no one at the front desk.

The front desk person was very rude. He didn't allow us to check in saying, he hasn't heard back from 3rd party reservation. Asked us to wait outside in cold. This didn't happen with any other hotels. It took max 20 mins but this time we had to wait for 30 mins . I requested him to check confirmation number but he was adamant to assist.Also, he is never at this desk so had to drop the key and leave. Tried calling him but he didn't answer either.

Hotel had overbooked and I wasn't able to check-in when I arrived. The front desk didn't offer anything but a weak apology. I asked for them to find another room with the difference covered via voucher, etc. The other hotels in the immediate area had availability, but out of pure luck, someone called to cancel their reservation. I was able to use that room instead. I'm not sure if I would have been compensated for the difference between the Extended Stay rate and the replacement Marriott rate (which I think is standard procedure), so this was very fortunate. Overall, it was a nice enough place and more affordable. A good basic facility.

Horrible place. Dirty the people are crazy rude .. literally got woken up at 1030am the the front desk ladie yelling and bang that its check out. Not at the front door she let her self in are room and was yelling. Mean while i just got out of work at 630 am.

The property was clean, and the staff was quick and friendly. Check in was a breeze.

This is a budget friendly no frills type of hotel. The staff is great and very helpful. You see housekeepers working but the hotel is dated and old but functional. Our kitchen had a working refrigerator, stove, and microwave. If you need dishes, ask the front desk. We brought dishes, pots, and utensils. Bed was comfortable. And hotel was in walking distance to the mall. Restrooms in the lobby were temporarily closed. Free breakfast consisted of granola bars, muffins, and coffee. All in all a just okay place.

I liked that i could cook and it had a refrigerator. It was clean. It was quiet. The proximity from the motel to the metro and store was awesome.I had to wait 10 minutes to be able to check in because no one was at the front desk when i arrived. There was no coffee pot in the room. All in all not a bad stay.

This isn’t the cheapest hotel in the area and it’s missing a LOT of maintenance work. We got there, get our room and spend ages trying to find it because our room’s number was missing, something that they could’ve at least mentioned at the front desk. Finally in the room, got settled and we kept hearing a water leak coming from the tub that never stopped leaking. And if that wasn’t enough the TV remote was broken cause some buttons didn’t work. The cherry on top was the included breakfast was instant oatmeal, fruit bars, and coffee. If I am paying over $150 per night they could definitely do a better a job.

If you chose this place because of the good reviews, be warned: it’s a scam. I wouldn’t recommend it unless it’s your only option due to budget limitations, and I certainly wouldn’t return. Breakfast? What a joke. The so-called “breakfast” is just a grab-and-go option with terrible coffee and a blueberry muffin—emphasis on terrible.

Customer service was not good. Also breakfast is not included. Properties idea of breakfast is granola bars.

Check-in was easy and there was plenty of parking at this property. The hotel needs a serious facelift, the bathroom needed the tub replaced or re-glazed, breakfast consisted of coffee and Granola bars.

No hot breakfast, coffee was bad, beds are terrible, had to unplug cables in the back of the TV to adjust volume or their instruction. Only reason for the three stars was because they were able to tell me how to adjust the volume and moved me to another room (need was still bad)

The internet gave me trouble. Was disappointed with their breakfast! They only had muffins, coffee and tea.

Very poor breakfast. No amenities.
