Hampton Inn Waterloo Cedar Valley

Would have been nice to know that the pool was not operational. Before we showed up for a youth wrestling tournament choosing this hotel for the pool alone!

The pool was empty and all the gym equipment was broken

We booked the hotel for pee wee state wrestling, and booked because it had a pool but our wrestler was disappointed to get there to find the pool drained. Overall it was a good stay just disappointed about the pool.

Contraction to the building. Limited parking. Pool closed. Tell people this before they book so they can decide if they wanna stay or not.

I reported to the check in desk that one of the Tesla destination charger plugs was broken.

Most expensive hotel in the 8 or so on this half mile strip. The pool is NEVER up. Took my grandkids her over Christmas only to be disappointed with the pool being down. Our last stay her.

It was a nice hotel, with a lot of broken amenities. Ice machines, elevator, etc.

We liked that they had chargers for our electric car. The food was good at breakfast. It was quiet. The staff were all friendly.

Very much under construction. Room had exposed wires in ceiling from missing smoke detector, small electrical wire fragments in carpet, common areas loud and unsafe from construction. If wasnt one night and getting in close to midnight, would’ve left. Sucked.

They need to list that the pool is under construction. We stayed 5/7-5/9 for a work trip, my daughter who loves to swim was disappointed. If it was known the pool was out we would have chosen a different hotel.

This was one of the few cases that the reviews tricked me. The check in process was quick and painless. Once we got to the room it had an unclean odor and quickly noticed the bedding had stains in several different locations. Unfortunately, the bedding wasn't the only thing that had stains. A couple of the towels and a wash cloth also had stains. There was also a wash cloth left over on the shower rod and the shower curtain was dirty. The bag that had the blow dryer in it was also stained. We had driven 10 hours this day and needed rest, but it was very hard to sleep in filth. I am topically a postive only reviewer, but I want management and others to be aware.

Clean and comfortable. Great employee checked us in. Would definitely stay here again!

Seemed rundown. Staff was having issues with the registration system. Lobby and rooms smelled musty. There was a drywall seam coming apart in the ceiling of our room.

This hotel was under renovation when we stayed. Expedia did say that or give us notice in advance. My kids were really looking forward to getting in the pool after a long day of driving, but it was closed. There was cardboard on the elevator walls, and dust everywhere. If they are going to stay open during construction, it should be at a big discount.

Very clean and the staff is incredibly friendly and helpful!

Property was great. The pool was clean. Our room was clearn as well. We were in Room 102. The shower/bathtub faucet handle did not work well. We had to push it in to get it to turn on which made it very difficult to also turn off. The staff was wonderful especially Monica who made cookies and offered them to us in the evening. She didn't mind our dad's teasing either. We also appreciated the breakfast staff who offered to refill our coffee cups.

Pool out of service when called to ask they said they could not say if the pool was working or not. Hair all over bathroom floor that was not ours. Beds are a little old and you can feel the springs. Had to basically beg for a second room key.

Rooms were clean. The pool was closed; bathtub knob ready to fall off; seems as if maintenance is not being done. Wouldn't recommend for others to stay here.

The only redeeming quality and the most important to me was the comfortable bed. The walls are paper thin. I mean paper thin. We could hear voices next door, out in the hall, toilet lids shutting and showers running. The curtains didn't stay shut, so we used the hanger hooks from the closet to keep the sun out. The shower had issues. The knob spun around and around in a clunky motion before finally turning on or off and the exhaust vent was covered in dirt/dust or mold. When we arrived the room had two old navy tags lying about, one on the bed and one on the luggage rack. Not sure if the maid changed in the room and forgot to throw those away or what. But the linens were clean and unused so I didn't make a fuss about it. But there was also some scraps of paper on the floor. The carpet in the hallway downstairs near the elevators/stairs was wrinkled all the way up and down the hall and was a major trip hazard. The elevator itself was rattling and concerning given the state of the rest of the hotel. The business center computers were "closed" per a sign on the door. Not a big deal for me but may be an inconvenience for someone. Overall I'll be looking for a new place to stay when I'm in town.

We got back to our room at 8:30pm and it was chilly. Turned up the heat and by 9:00pm it still wasn't working. Rhe front desk offered to check availability to move rooms but i had 2 kids with, a TON of stuff and 2 kids already sleeping. She loaded us with blankets and when we woke it was 61 degrees in the room. Not terrible but made for a cold shower! The staff was AMAZING in there help with a refund as was Expedia. This is a very dated hotel but relatively clean. They definitely need to update (especially room keys) but it got the job done for a one night stay. If we were staying any longer I'd be looking for a new place. But, again, not because of the staff. They were wonderful! It gets an additional star for the breakfast which my kids and I loved!

We had a king plus sofa bed and it was the nicest room we have ever stayed in. Breakfast was also excellent - lots of selections of hot and cold.

Hotel under construction and charging regular price. Air conditioning in our room would not turn off and we were cold at 61 degrees. Other hotel guests had no air conditioning at all. The smoke alarm beeped every 30 minutes. Probably the worst Hampton Inn experience we ever had. Very disappointing.

The hotel was in a good location for what we needed. Check-in and check-out were easy, good breakfast. The room was just OK, the beds weren't very comfortable. I expected a little nicer room for a Hampton Inn.

We had been traveling for two days and had checked out of our last hotel, got to this property around 9:30, went in and asked if there was anyway we could check in earlier and the sweet woman at the front desk let us. It was such a kind thing to do for us. She was so lovely and we appreciated her. We were so thankful and blessed to be able to check in early. Thank you so much to the front desk woman(did not remember her name). The hotel was so nice, clean and breakfast was great. Thank you Hampton Inns.

The stay was wonderful. Your staff was courteous helpful and friendly. Doug in the hospitality room was a very nice young man. He had everything stocked cleaned etc. he has a great future in the hospitality industry

We were supposed to have joining rooms but hotel said they didn’t get the message. We proved that it was on our confirmation. Check in gal said she would give the rooms at 1/2 price. When we got the credit card statement we were charged the full amount. No towels in pool area. Had to ask for some. Wanted 3 but only got 2. Breakfast buffet was empty when arrived. Had to wait 15 minutes to replenish items.

They had a lot of trouble with the key cards not working. The internet was sporadic in the lobby. Expedia charged me $70 more than the hotel did.

I especially want to compliment Amy at the front desk who checked us in and was SO HELPFUL as we tried to figure out dinner. And please pass along compliments about Doug Gold in the dining room at breakfast. Everything was well made and tasty and he took time to chat with us and engage about our travels. We love Hampton Inn!

Check in was horrible with the hag that helped me. She made Hampton look very bad and I don’t know if a red shirt is a manager but if so you guys will hire anybody. So that she knows who I AM all I asked is if we check our own self in since she didn’t have the courtesy to say anything and kept walking like the rude one she is…she has THE NERVE to get smart and at the end of the day if you are a so called manager you don’t need to be one because I’M A REAL MANAGER YES REAL NOT NO FAKE BEHIND THE FRONT DESK MANAGER BUT FOR A GOVERNMENT AGENCY TYPE MANAGER WITH PLENTY OF CLASS AND WOULD NEVER EVER TALK TO ANYONE AS SUCH! SO here’s the thing: apparently you need to take your meds or get on some meds because helping people on a daily with that type of attitude will not work. Now Kathy and Amanda they really made up for her stupidness and talking to each of them helped me realize there are still kind people in this world. The middle finger to the negative Nancy oh Karen acting self. PLEASE show this to the hotel.

In the area for my husband's band to play and needed a hotel. Close to tge venue. Carol at front desk friendly and professional, nice room for the price.

Very nice downtown hotel. Great location. Transportation and parking great because of valet service.

Close to the main roads to travel around town. The Motel could use an update. Only one elevator was working

Quiet, easy to navigate to/from; friendly and helpful staff

The rooms could use some updates. The wall paper was peeling off, there was a patch on the wall that hasn’t been fixed. The light switch to the bathroom was located on the outside which wasn’t convenient. Carol at the front desk was amazing! The room was spacious. The bed was comfy and the hotel is centrally located to lots of food and shopping options.

Overall a good in and out hotel for one quick night in town. Value was good.

We loved everything about this hotel. Staff were friendly and facilities were clean. The only issue we had was the pool was cold and often weren’t pool towels but not a huge deal. Breakfast each morning was a win with kids and they loved being able to make their own waffles!

My room was clean and comfortable. The front desk person, Sherie, was warm and friendly. Breakfast was full of variety and delicious. I would stay there again.
