Hotel is in a perfect location and walkable to some excellent local restaurants. Spa facilities were really lovely. For the amount paid I did expect a better room and bathroom facilities as these were looking a bit tired. I was a little surprised to have to pay extra for any hot breakfast choices ( this was in our booking terms but I’d not read the details in full, my miss). The continental buffet was very fresh and well stocked. Whilst we enjoyed our stay I did expect a bit better quality room for the cost.

Disappointing and does not resemble the website photos. In reality the Hotel is tired and in need of refurbishment. Our room on ground floor was functional at best, 1980s styling, pillows like rocks, the bathroom very cramped and washbasin chipped & stained. No direct access to the Spa /Pool area from the hotel - you have to go outside in your thin robe to gain access. On a cold wet February day, far from ideal. Spa & pool area is dark, dingy and utterly depressing. Additional £39 for access to the slightly better area - dont bother!! Hotel staff were without exception, friendly and helpful. Breakfast buffet was plentiful, but extra cost for hot dishes. Would we return NO … would we recommend NO

All good. Swimming pool and associated facilities such as jacuzzi, sauna, steam room too small if lots of guests are using the pool as was the case on Saturday afternoon. Sunday morning at 0800 was empty so we managed to enjoy the facilities then but Saturday afternoon was literally packed and not a great experience.

This was my third stay at Careys Manor and it was just as good as I remembered. The building is beautiful and the team is very welcoming and friendly, there is a real family atmosphere amongst them. The Sen Spa facilities are 10/10, and the treatments are amazing - pure relaxation and I looked 10 years younger after my facial. Highly recommended!

A very enjoyable 3 night stay at Carey’s Mānor Brockenhurst whilst my husband took part in a New Forest Bike Ride. We have stayed here before& have always had a pleasant time. Staff are very friendly & the hotel is very well placed for walking the surrounding forest areas. The spa at the hotel is also an additional plus which can be used free of charge if you are staying at the hotel although you have to pay extra if you have a massage etc - swimming pool & sauna etc are free

Very relaxing place to stay with a beautiful garden. The pool and other amenities are great although it is a bit annoying you can’t use them after checkout. The restaurants are amazing and the staff is very kind and helpful

We decided to stay for one night at this hotel and tbh it was distinctly average for the money. The main part that really let the stay down was the Cambium Restaurant with the food just being terrible. My partner ordered the mussels and when they arrived they were off and the small was rancid. The venue for the restaurant was essentially a repurposed event room and as such there was zero mood/atmosphere with the staff wandering around all looking completely as if they didn’t want to be there. The best part of this hotel was the Spa…but it does need a little updating as all the rooms were a little tired (mosaic tiles coming off the floor/walls and rattling air conditioning units in the treatment room) Lovely location though and very close to the new forest for walks and bike rides. Wouldn’t stay at this hotel again

Ice looking hotel and staff very good esp reception, hotel bit dated and rooms the same over priced even the pool area is a bit dated , no air cond in rooms and they were mega hot , also first room we had the bathroom floor was dangerously slippy they were good and moved our room . Could have been much better which was a shame

Our room was spacious and very well equipped. All seemed clean and well maintained. As it was our first stay at Careys Manor we were not aware of the outside, patio space available on the lower floor. However we were able to leave the large juliet balcony window open all night on the first floor and enjoy the fresh air. Breakfast was delicious and staff could not have been more helpful and friendly.

The staff are really friendly, but the hotel itself could do with modernising. Our bathroom was really old with a shower not suitable for someone over 5.9, our room was boiling hot with no way to cool it down, and they didn’t replace the toiletries. Also you have to pay extra to use different spa facilities which wasn’t clear, making the experience much less relaxing.

The First room we were shown was not as expected. Bed was not twinned. Second room was better but not as clean as it should have been. No time left to enjoy the pool or jacuzzi. Bed very comfortable, breakfast ok

The room was clean and comfortable. The only thing is that the room access card felt to work and we were on the last corner of the hotel. They should advise not to put it near the mobile.

Beautiful wooden panels in reception and main staircase. Beautiful area. Very friendly and helpful staff. Massage and spa facilities were good. We had a massage and paid extra to use the spa. The only downfall was an uncomfortable bed.

Amazing hotel and spa and have been a number of times. Stayed for two nights and had an amazing spa day with two treatments. Decided to upgrade to a superior garden twin room which was adequate but if I was being extra picky there are a couple of observations that would have improved the room itself. There was no safe or full length mirror and the wardrobe and draw space were tiny also there was nowhere to sit in front of a mirror to apply makeup and dry our hair. I want to emphasise non of this affected our stay and is purely feedback based on the quality of the hotel and the cost of upgrading our room and we will definitely be back. We came to the conclusion that the room was not specifically designed for those of us that need constant reassurance that we leave the room looking our best and our skirts are not tucked in our underwear.

Disappointing and does not resemble the website photos. In reality the Hotel is tired and in need of refurbishment. Our room on ground floor was functional at best, 1980s styling, pillows like rocks, the bathroom very cramped and washbasin chipped & stained. No direct access to the Spa /Pool area from the hotel - you have to go outside in your thin robe to gain access. On a cold wet February day, far from ideal. Spa & pool area is dark, dingy and utterly depressing. Additional £39 for access to the slightly better area - dont bother!! Hotel staff were without exception, friendly and helpful. The staff are really friendly, but the hotel itself could do with modernising. Our bathroom was really old with a shower not suitable for someone over 5.9, our room was boiling hot with no way to cool it down, and they didn’t replace the toiletries. Also you have to pay extra to use different spa facilities which wasn’t clear, making the experience much less relaxing.

We had a lovely stay for a long weekend. The staff were friendly and attentive. The spa treatments were amazing, the food in the Thai restaurant was lovely. The only downside was the room above ours decided to be awake and stomp around above our head at 5.30am on Tuesday morning. A little more consideration for other guests would have been nice!

The staff were lovely, only small issue lied in the layout of the room with there being no plugs by the bed unless you dive under the mattress which was near impossible, and no holder for the soap or toilet roll, these are small quality of life changes which could be fixed super easily! Other than that, the room was lovely with a gorgeous garden view and we were made to feel very welcome, really recommend the spa facilities

Ice looking hotel and staff very good esp reception, hotel bit dated and rooms the same over priced even the pool area is a bit dated , no air cond in rooms and they were mega hot , also first room we had the bathroom floor was dangerously slippy they were good and moved our room . Would highly recommend Carreys Manor, staff go out of their way to help. All 3 restaurants the food was excellent as were the pool and spa. The room faced the garden and was well appointed with modern bathroom and large smart tv and comfortable bed and furnishings. Can’t see why not 5 star.

I spent 4 beautiful days there and the staff/team were SO wonderful. They went out of their way to be accommodating to my dietary needs and so many other things. They were absolutely lovely. The hotel itself and surrounding areas were gorgeous.

This was my third stay at Careys Manor and it was just as good as I remembered. The building is beautiful and the team is very welcoming and friendly, there is a real family atmosphere amongst them. The Sen Spa facilities are 10/10, and the treatments are amazing - pure relaxation and I looked 10 years younger after my facial. Highly recommended!

A very enjoyable 3 night stay at Carey’s Mānor Brockenhurst whilst my husband took part in a New Forest Bike Ride. We have stayed here before& have always had a pleasant time. Staff are very friendly & the hotel is very well placed for walking the surrounding forest areas. The spa at the hotel is also an additional plus which can be used free of charge if you are staying at the hotel although you have to pay extra if you have a massage etc - swimming pool & sauna etc are free

We decided to stay for one night at this hotel and tbh it was distinctly average for the money. The main part that really let the stay down was the Cambium Restaurant with the food just being terrible. My partner ordered the mussels and when they arrived they were off and the small was rancid. The venue for the restaurant was essentially a repurposed event room and as such there was zero mood/atmosphere with the staff wandering around all looking completely as if they didn’t want to be there. The best part of this hotel was the Spa…but it does need a little updating as all the rooms were a little tired (mosaic tiles coming off the floor/walls and rattling air conditioning units in the treatment room) Lovely location though and very close to the new forest for walks and bike rides. Wouldn’t stay at this hotel again

Overall a good experience. Customer service very good. Very polite staff. Could be more knowledgeable about the new forest area. Hotel itself very nice but could do with a refurbishment. Room was good but again could do with updating. Bedsheets very nice. Slippers provided are the worst slippers I have ever used at a hotel so definitely needs updating. Literally unusable. Service needs to improve in regard to reception. Very long phone wait times to reception. Staff always absent from reception and need to wait. Checking out there was a queue of about 20 people and 1 receptionist. Spa cant comment as didn’t use. Breakfast not very good. Well the buffet wasn’t. Other than the bakery items everything else was definitely lacking. There were not many options. If you wanted actual food had to order separately for even more money. Overall good but could be better especially when you are paying over £250 a night.

Beautiful wooden panels in reception and main staircase. Beautiful area. Very friendly and helpful staff. Massage and spa facilities were good. We had a massage and paid extra to use the spa. The only downfall was an uncomfortable bed.

The French bistrot was a little overpriced for the quality of food and the interior, but apart from that it was a very pleasant stay. The hotel was quiet and easy to get to. The swimming pool, sauna, and steam room were a welcome addition without having to pay extra.

It was great. Particularly good having three restaurants. But I can be very picky. All about the breakfast. The coffee wasn't great. The bacon was underdone - it doesn't need to be really crispy but it does need a bit of brown to develop the flavour. The marmalade wasn't that good either. One other thing, which I suspect may be common to all hotels these days. They wouldn't give me a paracetomol when I really needed one. Probably something to do with health and safety. But really?

we did use the spa but did use the pool area > in average condition. The staff were very friendly. The continental breakfast was good. The selection of cheese and met good be expanded. The hotel was amazing, the room was a very good standard. The only let down was not being able to have dinner at the hotel. Only 2 out of the 3 Restaurants were open and it waa May Bank Holiday weekend. This meant going out to a local pub for dinner which is not what we wanted.

To be honest I should have booked directly with Carey’s Manor. Probably my fault but I did not realise that I was booking only a room for my husband and I, no breakfast! Things have changed now one has to pay for a cooked breakfast and with you also the continental one! Carey’s Manor were very understanding and gave us complimentary continental breakfasts. Now they allow dogs to stay which put us off even though guests with dogs are given dog friendly rooms. One bounded up to us as we sat outside our room in the garden and messed in front of our room! It’s so reliant on owners restricting their dogs on a lead and this didn’t happen! However the stars I gave is because the staff are amazing and are trying to cope with all the after financial effect of Covid. Plus the food is very high quality. Although the Zen Thai restaurant food could be better. So much to recommend with their facilities but be careful who you book through! I’m just grateful for such understanding and amazing staff at Carey’s Manor who want one’s stay to be the best.

For the price, I am definitely a bit disappointed with this stay. When we arrived, the person on reception was very polite and helpful. They explained that the pool was out of action due to a chemical imbalance. This was annoying as we had specifically booked somewhere with a pool. They did offer complementary use of the hydrotherapy suite - but this was quite overcrowded and half of the jets in the hydrotherapy pool weren’t working anyway. We ordered a side of stirfried tender stem broccoli and were given a regular head of broccoli that had clearly just been boiled. Given that it was a little on the pricey side this was really disappointing. The rest of the meal was okay but nothing to write home about. We had the continental breakfast, which was okay. There was a couple of vegan options including chia pudding - but I was expecting more as I have seen other reviews saying it is very good for the vegan Continental. All in all the stay was subpar, for the price we had much higher expectations.

They explained that the pool was out of action due to a chemical imbalance. This was annoying as we had specifically booked somewhere with a pool. The breakfast was really good the service was excellent. Our room was clean and well maintained. The only slight negative I had was that the dinner menu in the main restaurant was uninspiring and not brilliantly executed. Although the service was constantly of an excellent standard.

We have been visiting Carey’s manor for the last 25 years. In our opinion it just gets better. There are 2 restaurants currently on site, with a 3rd due to reopen later in the summer. We ate at the Zen Garden restaurant this time, and was excellent. The Senspa is well worth a visit and the treatments are expensive but worth it. The location in Brockenhurst is very convenient, with pubs, restaurants and shops within walking distance. Also lots of walking routes from the hotel.

No air conditioning, just a fan in the room. Corridors were like a sauna. When getting ready for a wedding reception found there was no hairdryer in room, attempted to ring room service and reception, but no-one answered the phone. Had to go to reception in person to request one, which then took half an hour to appear. Spa facilities were excellent with very helpful staff. Plenty of choice at breakfast.
