This Inn was perfect for our last overnight in the UK. The proprietor was friendly and helpful. Food was on premises so very convenient and good. Parking was plentiful. Beds were comfortable and shower was great! All was terrific!

Good pub with accommodation in separate part of the car park so no noise from the pub. Bed was comfortable, the pillows less so, but that's personal preference. Would have liked a bigger TV - the remote buttons had all rubbed off so you had to guess how to work it. Very good breakfast and the restaurant area downstairs is very nice despite loads of noise from the somewhat rowdy pub upstairs

Accomodation block is not connected to pub (which is a good thing). I had room 15 on 1st floor, which was big as was ensuite bathroom. Roof windows did not have any blinds which was an issue in the summer. Wifi was not good. Breakfast (included in the price) was great (I had the cooked breakfast) and there was a large choice but it took a while to arrive after ordering. Also the breakfast is advertised as being served from 0700 but the first slot you could have was 0715, which made me a bit late for my appointment nearby.

The only complaint I have is the Wi-Fi in the bedrooms it is awful its fine in the main building but not in the rooms. Staff are excellent and this is my 7th stay so cant be bad.

We spent one night and will likely return. The rooms are a tad small, we but loved the place. Super easy and free parking. The staff are all so friendly. The pub was awesome and the free breakfast was made to order and very delicious!

Food was excellent with large choice at reasonable prices & breakfast was just as good as the dinners. Conveniently located for coastal resorts such as Broadstairs & Herne Bay. Recommend The Evenhill for a relaxing break.

We spent a week at The Evenhill as it was in an ideal location to tour around Kent. The room was clean, spacious, lovely white fluffy towels and was in a nice setting. Good choice of food and plentiful. The staff were pleasant and welcoming The bus stop outside was handy to get around various towns. We would recommend staying at this hotel.

Friendly staff but room dated and no bath tub as was advised. At 8:30 at breakfast was told that due to full house no bread/pastry left, only (very sweet) cereals, cooked breakfast was nice though. Dinner at restaurant was good.

The rooms were comfortable and clean. Although slightly noisy with fellow occupiers getting an early start in the mornings, but that’s part and parcel. Our breakfasts were in the pub, and it was good quality. Friendly service too! Would definitely stay there again.

The room was a decent size, clean but needs some updating. Bed was extremely comfortable, air-con available if needed, plenty of room for storage. The only thing that let it down was the clientele, we stayed 3 nights, for the first 2 nights English guests were coming back to their rooms until at least 3am, shouting and banging doors, with no consideration for other paying guests. I’m all for having a good time but please be a bit more respectful of others. I hold no blame to the hotel as I realise this is out of their control, but it does probably put me off of booking here again, which is a shame as it’s a good location, breakfast very good and staff very friendly and attentive..

Nice stay in a conveniently located village on the outskirts of Canterbury. Good clean room with the added bonus of air-con during the hot few days we stayed. Excellent freshly cooked breakfast. Overall it was as expected and we would recommend.

Absolutely loved this hotel. The beds were very comfortable (soft and firm at the same time). The shower was warm enough. The grounds are beautiful and we took a walk around the area. The bar/restaurant was very enjoyable. The staff is top notch sweet and made sure we were comfortable!

Reasonable for the area and price. Clean. Comfy beds. Perfectly OK for a functional stay. Old barn property but the interior had none of the charm of the exterior. One of our rooms had a really tricky door mechanism. Either no WiFi or code not given. Host seemed to be working really hard with little support. For example, being a small property, the breakfasts were cooked to order, and ours took an hour to arrive (excellent food but very small portions e.g. one sausage, one hash brown, one tablespoon of beans ...).

Started out ok. Adverise fog friendly. Charge you extra for dog. Soend 350.00 in 3 days, as zi did and wait for the threats from a Debbie when ur dog causes a minor damage..i mean easily repaired with bit of wood filler. She had no concept of customer service. Threatened to force charge me 50.00 despite there never have being any condition to repair damage. I offered to repair. Not buy her a new cabinet. Threatened me with expedia. I paid her e50.00 in 3 days to have to put up with her fudeness and threats over a very minor damage which i offered to repair. An old woman running some part of the pub questioned me as to whether or not my fog would bark as there wrre children coming. Once again. Dog and dog owner second class. If you dont want dog barking, DONT ACCEPT DOGS! Stay elsewhere if u have a dog. Breakfast took ages. Arrived cold. Great bathtub. Lots of hotwater. Stay spoiled bh Debbie.

An old woman running some part of the pub questioned me as to whether or not my fog would bark as there wrre children coming. Once again. Dog and dog owner second class. If you dont want dog barking, DONT ACCEPT DOGS! Stay elsewhere if u have a dog. Breakfast took ages. Arrived cold. Great bathtub. Lots of hotwater. Stay spoiled bh Debbie.

For once we travelled to Kent without our car but the Evenhill is easy to reach by bus or taxi from Canterbury. There are great cross country walks in all directions. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Accommodation was fine and breakfast provided a good choice.

Stayed here for 1 night to be close to Winters Barn for a family wedding. Place was easy to find, clean and comfortable. Shower hot and large rainforest style head which i loved. Staff friendly and accommodating, i needed an extension lead to dry my hair as no plugs near the mirror and the team were accommodating. Breakfast was nice too. Would stay again. Its also a short drive to main Canterbury city center.

I really enjoyed it here. My Mum and I needed somewhere quiet to just rest and this is what we got. Not so great with noisy guests in adjoining rooms. I found the pillows in the room too soft but everything else was great. The breakfasts were freshly cooked and very filling, as were the dinners - massive fish portion and the soup in particular were lovely. Above all, all the staff were great - very friendly and had no problems accommodating our needs. They were so helpful and understanding. I'd like to stay there again.

Nice stay in a conveniently located village on the outskirts of Canterbury. Good clean room with the added bonus of air-con during the hot few days we stayed. Excellent freshly cooked breakfast. Overall it was as expected and we would recommend.

We spent a week at The Evenhill as it was in an ideal location to tour around Kent. The room was clean, spacious, lovely white fluffy towels and was in a nice setting. Good choice of food and plentiful. The staff were pleasant and welcoming The bus stop outside was handy to get around various towns. We would recommend staying at this hotel.

Room and bathroom a bit dated and tired and did not think it was worth the price paid. Air conditioning was great. Service at breakfast was a bit chaotic - no mugs or glasses and it took a long time to get served, although good when it arrived.

Reasonable for the area and price. Clean. Comfy beds. Perfectly OK for a functional stay. Old barn property but the interior had none of the charm of the exterior. One of our rooms had a really tricky door mechanism. Either no WiFi or code not given. Host seemed to be working really hard with little support. For example, being a small property, the breakfasts were cooked to order, and ours took an hour to arrive (excellent food but very small portions e.g. one sausage, one hash brown, one tablespoon of beans ...).

Blamed me for not notifying them that I had booked a twin, when I had booked a twin. Refused to change the double into a two singles. Put the phone down on me. Entered the room with 2 guys from the bar - not hotel staff - when my son was in the shower. Made us put the bedding on two singles ourselves. Generally rude. Had to resort to threatening a bad review to get them to do anything. Was told, ‘I don’t care.’This was the worst experience I have ever had at a hotel. Serves me right for not booking a chain and trying to help local businesses.
