A large, modern hotel with large grounds for tennis and exercise. The hotel and its large $5 per day parking lot is conveniently located right at the entrance to old town Tomar. Its a 10 minute walk from the hotel to the center of Tomar with dozens of shops and restaurants. 20 minute walk or 10 minute car ride to the Templar castle complex.

We chose this hotel as unlike most, it had a pool - infact 2, 1 inside and 1 outside. We had a great room - large with seating area and a view of both the pool and the castle. Superking bed which was very comfortable. Disapponted no iron available. It is, by comparison to others in Tomar, a large hotel and whilst its used by coach tours its quiet whilst being in easy walking distance of the beautiful town and its attractions. There's a good choice at breakfast although the coffee machines take ages. The hotel don't seem to promote the restaurant for evening meal so we didn't try it. Would stay again

The hotel staff were friendly and helpful. I enjoyed the outdoor pool in the hot weather but be warned it isn’t heated. The gym and sauna are small 3 or 4 people at most the situation of the hotel is very convenient for visiting the castle & convent, shops, cafes & restaurants . The hotel hosts lots of conferences. Odd number rooms overlook the park and pool. Even numbers overlook the car park and views to the castle. I felt there was mor bedding than was necessary, the air conditioning was quite noisy and there were no USB ports in the room. The decor of the overall hotel is beginning to show it’s age but overall I would visit again.

Very good location with easy parking. Big proper hotel. Rooms are spacious. Bar so you can have a drink before slip. All attractions are in walkable distance. Pool and play ground for kids.

This is a large and luxurious hotel that's a great base for exploring the area. The rooms are comfortable and huge, the staff helpful and competent, the facilities (pool, pool table, etc.) really nice (the indoor pool is quite something, though we didn't need it in the summer). Breakfast delicious in the Portuguese manner---we never tried the restaurant for dinner but it looked fine. The Templar castle/monastery is well worth a visit in itself, and Tomar has some nice restaurants. And Coimbra, Nazare, and the monasteries at Batalha and Alcobaca are all within about an hour's drive.

Expansive property located along the river. Has a great view of Tomar castle. Parking is conveniently on the property but is not free. There is a restaurant and a lounge/bar on the property. The food is good but priced a little on the high side.

O quarto onde ficámos era bastante espaçoso, acolhedor e bem decorado, dos melhores onde já ficámos com cama extra. Não se limitaram a enfiar no quarto mais uma cama de qualquer maneira, o espaço estava pensando para isso, o que nos agradou imenso e tornou a estadia muito mais agradável. WC também muito espaçoso e tudo muito limpo. O staff foi sempre muito simpático e agradável. Ambiente calmo, deu para descansar sem barulho. Localização muito boa, central. O pequeno almoço é muito variado e de boa qualidade, não houve falhas na reposição, estavam sempre muito atentos, fantástico. Os espaços comuns são muito limpos e bem cuidados. Nada de negativo a apontar, adorámos!

This hotel is located close to the city center -very walkable to everything. Gardens and grounds pretty and well kept. We enjoyed our suite with large balcony. Hotel itself a little out of date -bathrooms could use some renovating (mildew on caulking etc), but it definitely has charm. The parking system is irritating -having to get a ticket, then get it stamped -the booths and gates don't work half the time, but is a minor inconvenience in relation. The restaurant's food is good!

The room was very noisy due to the airconditioning just in front of the balcony. Furthermore, the sound of the pianist was heard in the rooms above during the night. The bathroom door was soaked with water earlier and is splintered. There were feces of birds everywhere around the balcony. The staff was nice and the breakfast absolutely okay.

This is the second time we have stayed at this hotel. The staff are always friendly, the breakfast is great and caters for all tastes. The rooms are spotlessly clean and well-kept. The grounds are also well maintained by what seems an army of gardeners. There is plenty of parking. One negative though, which my partner always comments on, is the unevenness of the carpet in the bar area, her being not so clever on her pins, is always weary of trip hazards.

The rooms are huge by todays standards, the river is peaceful, walkable to restaurants, shops in town and walkable to castle and convent. Large hotel property with grass area, trees . Pool is nice . Breakfast buffet is great with views of river.

Traveled to Tomar and spent three nights in the wonderful Hotel Dos Templários. The staff was great, our 2 rooms (travel with family) were great with lovely balconies and views into the town of Tomar. We did a couple of day trips from here to nearby caves and Castelo Almourol and of course visited Tomar. Pool was great on the warm days. Hotel staff even brought my son some birthday cake as they knew by our ID used for checkin that his birthday happened while we there. A nice touch!

Overall, really beautiful place and worth the splurge. There was no WiFi in the room and the staff did not care or offer solution or compensation. Some of the staff were a little short/curt and it was not due to language barrier. I ordered a drink at the bar and provided my room #. The bartender then asked me my name and double checked it was in fact my room. I had been to the bar the day before and was not treated the same way.

We had the best Balcony view of any Hotel stay in Portugal .The Hotel is perfectly positioned by the River in the Town. Hotel Staff are excellent with impeccable Customer Service. All public areas are clean & furnished wonderfully. Breakfast is excellent . The Bathroom was in need of refurbishment, it was very tired !! This is our 2nd stay & We would definitely stay again.

This is a great hotel with a courteous and friendly staff. Associates at the desk went out of their way to help us get rides, find locations, and enjoy the town. The property is like a resort. Staying here is a very relaxing experience.

If it were not for the front desk woman with brown hair and glasses our stay would have been great. She was relentless and annoying, taking up a good amount of my time arguing about my reservation. She needs to learn about customer relations and PR. Otherwise, the pool and room were spectacular as was the bar tender. We enjoyed dinner at the restaurant and the close proximity to town. I though charging for the thimble sized coffee in the room was a bit much. Do I didn’t drink it.

Excelente estadia num hotel de tradição na região e em Portugal. Tudo estava de acordo com o esperado para um hotel com estas condições. Todo o staff merece elogios pelas diversas formas como nos receberam e todo o atendimento nas refeições foi excelente. A localização, os jardins e os acessos ao centro da cidade são uma mais valia do hotel.

Loved the easy parking, delicious breakfast and view from our room overlooking the river and park. Walked to the square and enjoyed the Art in the Streets fest and a great dinner on the parade route. Very fun and we didn’t even plan for it. Templar Castle and Convent of Christ also walkable distance but all uphill. Great stay in Tomar.

After driving through Portugal and Spain, I was thrilled to be able to park in a lot next to the hotel! The staff was friendly, the hotel is walking distance to the historic center (where there are lots of restaurants and shops). You can also walk to the Castle and Convento. Tomar is such a nice town; we were sad to leave!

Beautiful hotel, large and modern. Our room was very good, with a balcony and a nice view of the Templars' Castle and the river. Good buffet breakfast. The only disappointment was about dinner at the hotel's restaurant. The menu was very limited and the food was tasteless.

Property needs some updating... new air con units and bigger newer TVs. Breakfast was lovely... didnt have dinner at hotel as too expensive. Bed really comfortable and big.
