Staybridge McLean is a hidden gem. This was one of our best overnight stays in a minute. We traveled with three teens and a preteen. The two-bedroom suite was spacious enough for us to spread out in peace without having to book two separate rooms. We were very pleased with the service and amenities as well. Outdoor pool, gym, breakfast and free laundry for guests is wonderful. Only thing that could have made it better is free parking but $10 wasn't terrible compared to other nearby hotels. I must give a special shout out the manager, Angel (aka Ms. GG) who was so professional, warm and welcoming. She is part of the reason we decided to request a late check out and a spend a little more time there. We'll definitely be returning.

This was our first time to the area and this hotel was so convenient to so many things around without being up in the middle of skyscrapers! We loved it. It had a nice lawn for our dog to walk around, the pool wasn't open because it's too soon but it looks nice the outdoor sitting area was nice as well. Our room was so awesome, beyond words. The beds were comfortable, we had a fridge microwave stove very nice sitting area . Everything was so neat and clean I was so so impressed. The lady at the desk was so nice to me and acknowledged me immediately just when I looked a little confused. I really appreciate that kind of care. The breakfast was fantastic and it went to 10:30 on the weekends! I appreciated that as well! Room temperatures were perfect. We were 10 minutes away from everything major and we could walk to everything else! I would absolutely stay here every single time when returning to this area.

We were 3 adults and 2 children i a 2 bedroom suite and it worked very well. The rooms were clean but a bit dark. Great with a kitschen and there was a big grocery store just 5 min walk from the hotell. Breakfast was the usuall american sugerloaded stuff, simple but ok. The pool was nice and had a lifeguard the entite time it was open (10am-8pm).

Stocked adequately for a short stay. We loved the convenience of having a refrigerator and cooktop. Nice amenities as well (fitness center, washer/dryer, breakfast, complimentary happy hour, and lovely outdoor spaces). We’ll be back!

I've stayed here multiple times always quiet love the free happy hour drinks, adore the breakfast ( who ever is behind the omlet station deserves a raise ) the only issue we had was there was hair in the bathroom and in the fridge not a huge deal since I've worked in a hotel i clean and sanitize everything before i let my family touch anything. To the staffs credit once i brought up the issues of hair they apologized and immediately rectified the issue. I will absolutely be staying again.

The food was horrible. The furniture in the room was dirty and there was a smell. We were not told that we had to request our room to be cleaned and we were out all day. They gave us a hard time just to get clean towels. The service from the day staff was great! Staff was very friendly. Overall, I will probably not stay again

Not up to the Staybridge experience that I had in the past. Issues: dirty cups in the cabinet, worn upholstery in living room, undrinkable coffee in all the dispensers, limited breakfast offerings, and noisy toilet refilling. I was happy with the friendly staff, room size and parking availability. For the price, over $300 per night, I was disappointed. I’ve had a better stay for one third the price.

It was a great location for our family of six. However, there was a visible mold issue on the wall and door frame in the same place of both bathrooms in our suite, which suggests a widespread design flaw. Having dealt with toxic mold related illnesses, I would not recommend this place for a long term stay or for anyone healing from mold.

Carpet smelled like Fritos, Cheetos and Doritos. I noticed my feet were black with dirt after showering just walking around the room! I spilled a bottle of water and used a white towel to pat it dry, when I flipped it, it was black with dirt too. The toilet seat wouldn’t stay up, in a room for me and my brother. The shower head broke off mid shower second day. I had to bathe like Golem (not that he bathed) because I had already lathered up. No cap all in 2 night stay.

The young woman who checked me in was sensational. SO friendly and helpful. Beautiful room and facility overall. Plus a very safe and vibrant location. The only negative was the air conditioner kind of rumbled. And turned on and off loudly, waking me up quite often. Next time I'll bring ear plugs. :-)

I've stayed here 3 times in the past 3 months for work. Each time has been great. My rooms have always been immaculate. I actually dislike travel, but the friendly staff here makes up for it. Michael at the front desk was my first impression on my first checkin...excellent...super helpful. Beverly, Sarita, Angel, and Kate also made great impressions ...very helpful. I do have one piece of information that can help other travels like myself. If you're taking a device like a roku, you can't unhook the box off the back of the tv. the tv is too old to support that with their setup. You have to put it through that back using the hdmi ports.on the box. What's confusing is that when you are using the remote that would logically seem to be the TV, it's actually referring to the box. TLDR: Hook up your device to the box, not the tv. Then choose the appropriate port from the tv input menu. I expect to need to be in McLean again soon for work, and I will definitely come back here.

We booked two separate rooms at this hotel through Hotels.com. Upon arrival, we realized that only one room was registered in the system. The front desk agent gave us the key for the one room, and when I provided the email confirmation showing a charge of $1500 for two rooms, she simply stated that since the booking was made through a third party, it was up to me to resolve the issue with them. When I asked if he could offer any assistance, he directed me to contact the booking service directly. After spending over half an hour on the phone with Hotels.com, they finally managed to contact the front desk and resolve the issue. I was disappointed that no effort was made by the hotel staff to help me directly, especially given the inconvenience caused by no fault of mine. Additionally, I was surprised to find that the swimming pool was closed, despite the hotel’s website displaying multiple pictures of it being available for use. Moreover, during our stay, the room was never serviced, and no one checked to see if we needed fresh towels. I had to go to the front desk myself to request additional towels. Overall, the lack of customer service left me very dissatisfied with the experience.

If you need to be in McClain, VA this location is perfect, but basic and if you are planning on visiting the sites in D.C. it is far less expensive than city hotels. Takes about 30 minutes to drive into D.C. and then you need to find a parking lot! With a kitchenette in each room, but no oven you can still prepare some meals inhouse. Lots of good restaurants within two blocks. The free daily breakfast is very mediocre and repetitive though convenient.

We loved our stay here! The rooms are extremely clean, and the kitchen in our suite was fully stocked with cutlery, plates, and even popcorn! The hot breakfast buffet in the mornings were wonderful, and the staff was friendly and helpful. It is conveniently located only 25 min. from downtown DC and less than 10 min from VA's city center with amazing new restaurants and amenities. We highly recommend this hotel, and next time we return, we are bringing our dogs!

A nice hotel with friendly staff. We stayed in a two bedroom apartment, both bedrooms had a washroom which is great when traveling with a family. However the breakfast was a bit underwhelming. Poor choice of foods and dirty tables. I can recommend the hotel, but suggest to consider your breakfast options.
