The Kingsley Hotel

Very enjoyable stay in Cork, the room was very comfortable, lovely bed and very comfortable sleep. Really enjoyed the leisure facilities especially the outdoor hot pool. Very helpful and friendly staff.

Such a great hotel. The bed is super comfortable. The outdoor pool and spa are lovely. It’s elegant but comfortable - like a home away from home and the staff are excellent. The breakfast is fabulous. Definitely stay here.

The carpet of the room had stains all over it. Some front desk staff were nice, but a couple of the ladies were rude. You cannot get a spa appointment at all as it is full from appointments of people who live in the area, this was disappointing.

This is excellent hotel enhanced tremendously by the most friendly and attentive staff. The hotel property is very spacious and kept very clean. The food served in the restaurants is very good too. Free access to the pool, sauna and steam room is an added bonus. In short, one doesn’t have to leave the hotel, everything is taken care of in the most luxurious surroundings. Don’t miss this gem of the hotel if you are in Cork.

We stayed here for a night, it was great! Easy parking, check in was smooth, we ate dinner at their bar, food, drinks and dessert were delicious! We even were able to get a massage the next morning, it was lovely! Great amenities to enjoy while there!

Visiting from America, checked in on a Wednesday night, barking is free and underground but limited. Limited. Unsure if there's other parking. Breakfast was included for us and tasted great, hot and cold food, overlooking the river area. The room was absolutely clean and quiet, the bed was very comfortable. The staff were great on our check-in and the same Ladies were there when we checked out the next day. We would definitely stay here again, this is priced Right.

We had a great stay at The Kingsley hotel, would highly recommend, very clean and modern. Comfortable bed and spacious room, good swimming pool nice outdoor pool which is heated! In a good location close to the airport and the city centre.

Free bikes available to borrow for the day! Spa and outdoor hydro pool were wonderful!

Excellent rooms and very clean!

On arrival at the hotel we had a good experience at reception and were given the keys to the room we had requested. We had stayed in the same room last year. Things took a turn for the worse when we entered the room. We had requested a fridge and it was there but, on opening it, it was filthy inside. Near the fridge there were mugs for tea/coffee…..one was badly chipped.But, worst of all,the television was a disgrace….the picture was all broken and unwatchable and the sound was out of synch when any image was visible.When you stay in an hotel, your room is more than a bedroom, it’s also your living room especially if you are staying for several nights. We were staying for six nights. We reported the problem on the following morning and an engineer was promised. He gave us a different remote, but the problem with the TV was the same. Again we repeated our problem and a second engineer came but he couldn’t fix it either and, so, we had no working television for our entire six night stay.What was even worse was that we had the same problem with the television exactly one year previously.And, so, this problem had been left unfixed for at least a whole year. That is atrocious behaviour for any hotel, not to mention a four star plus hotel like the Kingsley. On our first morning I went to reception to ask if they had a daily newspaper. No was the response and, no, they couldn’t provide one for me on the following days. I have plenty more to say but you won’t allow me!!

Beautiful room. Spacious bright and spotless. All the staff are welcoming and professional. We were disappointed to find that the restaurant had closed at 6.30 on Sunday evening. The bar food was terrible. But it’s a comfortable place to sit and relax.

The staff was friendly. Breakfast was a mixture of buffet and dishes according to the menu. The rooms and the hotel were very chic. However, the cleanliness in the room left a lot to be desired. Some things were dirty.

Friendly accommodating staff and a very quiet and clean room with nice view.

The bed was great! Our room had a Nespresso machine and the shower was fantastic. It's a great location for parents of kids attending UCC. Parking including and easy access.There are cheaper places to stay in and around Cork City but the Kingsley is worth the cost. We would definitely stay here again.

The junior suite was amazing, the river view was beautiful, the staff was welcoming and helpful. The restaurant and bar were absolutely great too.

The Kingsley is now going to be our go to hotel when staying in Cork City. It is such a beautiful hotel from the moment you walk through the main entrance all the way to the guest rooms. We checked-in late in the evening and the young woman at the front desk was so welcoming and helpful. We stayed in a "King Room" which was nicer than most high end five star hotels we've stayed in. The bed was one of the most comfortable hotel beds we've ever had. The room had full air conditioning, a dining table, separate small office area with a work desk, the most beautiful bathroom with full bath, twin sinks and a very nice shower. The bathroom also had complimentary Rituals shower gels, soaps, shampoos etc. Also in the room were a proper hairdryer, iron & ironing board, coffee maker, tea kettle, robes and slippers and a really fantastic TV with access to a secured private chromecast system so you can use your own favourite streaming services on the big screen if you wish or need to keep little ones entertained. To top off the guest experience the room also has the most fantastic "Virtual Concierge" system via a tablet device. On this you are able to order room service, dinner reservations check out hotel amenities etc and it was just a revelation to use. No more waiting on busy phones to be answered or searching through inch think binders looking for a hotel service. We used the Virtual Concierge to order dinner on one night, we simply open the restaurant menu, checked off each item we

The Kingsley had a great location just on the edge of town which made it convenient to get in and out. Beautiful setting adjacent to the river. Very quiet and the staff was so very friendly. The beds were very comfortable and the bathroom huge!

Our stay started with confusion on bed choice and we had a repairman knock to fix the air conditioner which as it turns out was not broken. Then a tour bus ahowed up and another knock. They had double assigbed the room. After our rough start the place was okay but not worth going back to.

Highly enjoyed my stay at the Kingsley. My standard room was spacious and comfortable. Staff are energetic and friendly. They are happy to make your stay memorable. The food is creatively plated and tastes delicious. I highly recommend the high tea in the afternoon at the Kingsley, a nice treat. Spa is great for getting away from it all. Your stay includes gym, pool, sauna, steam room and outdoor heated pool with whirlpool.

Nice hotel with very attentive staff and good food in dining facilities

The staff was excellent and welcomed me during a challenging time. They were kind, patient and willing to help me. Very grateful for their service.

This is a great hotel however, not as close to the shopping and cultural activities as we would have liked. About a 30 minute walk to these areas. We elected to stay and eat in the onsite restaurant which was very good and reasonable.

The amenities like the pool and breakfast were great! Th location was convenient because even though it wasn’t right in the city center, you could easily take a bus there.

Lovely hotel in beautiful riverside location. Excellent breakfast! Bar/restaurant had lovely food, service & atmosphere. Room was clean & comfy. Outside spa pool with views across river was lovely. Hotel was easy walking to cork town centre around 30mins. We had a lovely stay & would choose this hotel again!

Gorgeous hotel. Ate breakfast looking out over the water everyday. Breakfast buffet and menu were excellent. Dinner was really good too. Staff was amazing. Loved staying here

Beautiful property in beautiful surroundings. Excellent food but the front of the house in food and beverage were a little undertrained.

So, parking was a little confusing, there could be better sign posting. My check in was Ok and carried out quickly by a helpful chap. getting to the room was fine and once in the room was adequate as well. The TV worked well, the temperature was OK and the Bathroom clean and functional. Things are a little dated and old fashioned but otherwise acceptable. My evening meal was deeply disappointing. In fact, I was shocked at what the Kingsley considers quality food. To begin with my main course, which was duck on lentils was rendered quite unpleasant by poor seasoning and a mismatch of flavours. The lentils were plentiful, but the sweet source was overpowering. I did not enjoy the dish at all. I hoped it could not get worse, but it did. OI ordered the simplest of dishes; something one might make at school in fact. I ordered an orange Posset. What arrived would have made Angel Delight blush. The insipid bowl of mush, overly sweetened and then to add insult to injury dressed with tinned (Yes, seriously) tinned mandarin segments and three bits of snapped meringue. Basically awful. When I tried it, the space left by my spoon filled with a pale-yellow liquid and was most oof putting. Despite only taking one mouthful, this hideous mess appeared on my bill and the fact that the food returned to the kitchen untouched went uncommented on! For the first time in my meory I left a restuarant hungry! Breakfast was ok, but I was keen to leave. I wont return to the Kingsley .

Check-in was smooth and the front desk staff was helpful and courteous. The room was nice and clean, and the on-site restaurant was the perfect place to eat and relax... they serve a great spicy chicken burger with chunky chips! Breakfast was delicious... lots of choices. The hotel is nicely decorated and overlooks a nice view along the river. I would definitely stay there again.
