Cork's Vienna Woods Hotel & Villas

Hôtel a la décoration très anglaise et très agréable. Dommage que le restaurant n’est pas pu nous accueillir à 19h30 voire même après 20h30. Il n’y avait pas de bouteille d’eau dans la chambre. Excellent petit déjeuner.

Pros: Gorgeous property, stunning views. Cons: Parking was a challenge with the number of guests. Not the properties fault but I had a guy banging on the door to the room across from me at 2:30am waking everyone up, after about two minutes of him banging and yelling I opened my door to ask him to go to the front desk to get a key if he needed in, he told me F'off and then wanted to fight me. A horrible experience, and I wouldn't go back.

Beautiful hotel and great location. Rooms are incredibly well maintained and decorated. Only thing letting the stay down was eating in the bar area on a coffee table (bending down to eat wasn't comfortable). Restaurant was closed during my stay.

Very nice room and comfortable bed. Only one place to eat on property. Did not do buffet breakfast since in the same place we ate dinner which felt closed and no windows. With so many beautiful areas in hotel and terrace should do breakfast in a nicer place with views.

Room and hotel is furnished to a very high standard. Just a few niggles/service issues stopped this from being an excellent stay. TV in room was not working very well - most channels impossible to watch - response from reception when I reported this, was that it has been a problem since the building works started a few months ago. Web-site said there is a Nespresso machine in the room but this was missing (a Lavazza machine was put in the room when I complained). Service in the Bistro was a bit hit and miss - I asked for a menu to take a look at whilst we went to the bar for a drink - I was told she was too busy and can I come back in 15 mins. No table service in the glass room/bar.

We stayed one night at Vienna Woods on our way to Cobh. Room was spacious and clean with an updated bathroom. We had an excellent dinner and breakfast in their dining room. (Although I had booked dinner through their online system and despite a confirmation, it didn’t book onto their schedule for the evening. They worked us in for dinner - but I’d double check they have your reservation!). Comfortable bed and pillows, plenty of parking. Very pretty property.

Beautiful property with a nice woodland location. Great facilities and rooms. The bistro was great, good menu and fantastic meals. Only down point was that the lift was out of order so my elderly parents had to hike up three floors.

Nice place to stay close to Cork city. The staff were welcoming and helpful. The quality of the cocktails from the bar were a bit disappointing. The rooms were large but there was not enough space in the bathroom to lay out toiletries and not enough table space in the rooms.

Beautiful setting. “ in the woods” 10 minute cab from downtown cork. Great value for the money. Extremely clean with well appointed rooms and helpful, professional staff. Highly recommend this hotel in Cork.

No hot water in shower…and shower not working…went to reception and fixed late that evening but gone again next morning

The building is old, and our room was oddly shaped, had a dysfunctional shower, and no place to set things. The bed was fine, but it had the European-style duvet and poor temperature control in the room, so sleeping was difficult because you became too hot. We would not stay there again or recommend it to others.

My wife and myself had a very enjoyable 3 night stay here at the beginning of September. We had stayed here before. The hotel is very clean and well maintained and the staff were very welcoming and helpful. The only negative is that we found the price of the stay expensive.

We have a lovely stay at the hotel..check in was quick. The room was clean, modern and comfortable and catered well for international travellers. As my partner was vegan he was offered the vegan breakfast which was very good. Would love to stay again

Room was lovely and well equipped. The water in the washroom did not work upon arrival. They were quick to address the issue. We were told it was caused by renovations. Farther from downtown than anticipated. Uber is quicker to use (estimated 1 hour if you use hotel direct line to cab service). Charge processed to credit card without permission and could not change to different card (collecting points). Room service provided cold soup and burned sandwich (they did not charge). Wedding party singing is parking lot woke us up (not really soundproof as advertised). Slow internet. Breakfast was excellent.

The room was beautiful, clean and quite.

A beautiful hotel great for all, we had our toddler who was well catered for as well as us. The room and en suite was well furnished, decorated and clean. The grounds are well looked after. The breakfast offerings were great and covered all different tastes and preferences.

Very old building. When we checked in there was a mistake on the reservation stating we reserved two rooms. My confirmation from the third party indicated just one room was reserved. The hotel staff could not cancel the extra room stealing I had to go through the third party. After all that, We were given a room which someone else already was in then went back had to get another room. The towel were tattered on the edges. Smoke alarm went off and bathroom lighting was terrible. Overall quiet disappointing.

Very gorgeous property, great service from the front desk, room and bathroom were clean and updated. Only bad thing was how warm the room got at night without A/C, a small fan, and a window that did not open too much making it hard to sleep. Other than that, had a great experience!

The hotel and room itself were beautiful. I stayed in the new wing and loved it. My only complaint would be that I could easily hear people talking and walking around in the hallway all night.

This was a very nice hotel but I have to say I was perplexed by the bathroom door with a window in it. They put a loose-fitting shade on the door which did not provide privacy. Why would anyone put a bathroom door in that has a window? The room was large. The bed was comfortable. But, the bathroom had no vanity! We had to bring our toiletries into the bathroom in the morning and couldn't unpack them. The sink is small with no place to even leave a toothbrush. I prefer a vanity in my bathroom. What can I say?

This is a very nice hotel, however, we did have some issues. The room was very small. There were no shelves in the shower to put toiletries. You had to put them on floor of the shower. There were also no towel bars to hang your towels to dry.

Spent a lot of money to book a room in this hotel. What they forgot to let me know that it would be hosting a party till 1.30 early in the morning. Complain to the management, who just shrugged their shoulders. Not bothered at all.Music was so loud that you could not sleep. I will never book this hotel again.

Our family stayed for a few days and were very impressed with the hotel. What is extra special about this place is the kindness and professionalism of the staff -- everyone we interacted with was so friendly and helpful...it made our stay so pleasant. Would definitely stay here again.

Beautiful location and property. We had a car so were able to get back and forth to downtown Cork pretty easily. We ate in the restaurant for supper which was delicious and the staff were great. We were celebrating our honeymoon and there were balloons and a cookie waiting for us in our room when we arrived which we absolutely loved. Would definitely recommend to anyone travelling to Cork.

The staff was wonderful. I cannot remember the name of the one woman working the front desk but she was so welcoming to our 2 year old (Finn) and each morning of our stay he was excited to go down and talk to her. Made the stay that much better! Thanks

We were really delighted with our experience here. We were travelling with our baby, and I had emailed ahead to request an early check in if possible so our baby could nap in the room. Not only was this facilitated, our room was upgraded which gave us much more space for a family. This was really appreciated. All of the staff were really friendly, especially the restaurant staff as we had our little girl with us for our meals - she is a very fussy eater and they were brilliant at adapting food for her. Thank you so much for a great experience, we will definitely be back.

At reception I was upgraded to a larger room which was nice, though the room was quite austere. What I was not made aware of was that a wedding disco was taking place in the evening and my room was adjacent to the function room. The party continued until after 1pm making it impossible for me to sleep. I had been contacted prior to my arrival and asked if there was anything I required - a nice touch. I asked for decaffeinated tea and soya milk to be available in my room. I was told this was possible, but it did not happen. More annoyingly there was no kettle in my room. I did not realise this until 11.30pm. Despite ringing reception on two occasions and being told a kettle would be sent up, this did not happen. I rang reception again at 6am the next morning and a kettle was finally delivered. I raised my complaint about the noisy room and poor service with a junior manager. I was not charged for breakfast by way of compensation. I asked that the matter be raised with the senior manager/owner and that he/she write to me to explain why I was upgraded to a room that staff must have known would be noisy due the wedding taking place. I suggested the room is not let when a noisy event is taking place except to those who are attending the event. Over 4 days later I have received no response. The hotel is under renovation hence the low scores for Condition and Area Around the Hotel. The fact building work is taking place is communicated during the booking process.

This property was beautiful, nestled in the woods. We wish we would have had more time to explore. Service was impeccable.

Nice and clean rooms, as well as a nice bar/sitting area. We had 3 people in our room and only two sets of towels and was difficult to get another set. We were told that we had a room with a nice view but it was actually facing the garbage/work area in back that was very loud in the morning with dumping and sorting glass bottles. Also this was the only place during our vacation that there was not coffee in the room or lobby (if you did not pay extra to have breakfast included). Beds were comfortable.

Quality rooms and great food as one would expect for the price. But why oh why only one card key per room ? And told so in no uncertain terms. Why you would annoy guests over such a trivial thing is beyond us. We were not alone as it was the talk amongst guests.

My Mother, Aunt and I stayed here March 18th, 2023 and were VERY pleased with our room, very clean... Beautiful property. Staff was very helpful and friendly, a bit far from downtown Cork.... outside the hotel, nothing around to walk to for shopping/eating.

poor service, poor location very noisy road , could not walk up the driveway, staff not great in bar, very disappointed, food was good though and the bed was comfortable and bathroom was nice too. restaurant staff nice and night manager was lovely too,

Het ontbijt. Je maakt een afspraak om te ontbijten, maar alles is vol, en het buffet wordt niet aangevuld. We wachten al een kwartier op onze eitjes, alle toast is nu koud gewordenen daar betaal je dan 16 euro voor. Schandalig!
