Free parking on site. Downstairs restaurant was great for breakfast, good value. No gym on the property, but there are a few gyms within walking distance that offer day passes. 10 minute walk to nearby restaurants and other attractions. I would stay here again. Staff was very friendly and helpful.

Parking was easy, managed to park outside front door. Check in was simple although the key cards did not work first time. The room was large and very comfortable. Everything we need was provided. Bathroom was spotless, we appreciated the bath as we needed a soak after a long day. We used the restaurant and food was good, reasonably priced, service was excellent, thanks Carly. The horn was quiet at night, no noise from the corridor or outside. Black out curtains really helped for a good night's sleep as did a very comfortable bed. Breakfast was excellent, particularly as we are vegan, this was accommodated with a freshly cooked breakfast.

The area surrounding the hotel is not walkable to Centre City. There is no gym, which is a staple nowadays. The staff was lovely! Everyone was friendly, helpful, and welcoming.

Lovely hotel, with great food and very friendly staff! Air conditioning is good and the king room was nice and spacious. Only let down was the construction ongoing which was very noisy where I was located, and the TVs in room were quite outdated(?), signal/channels didn’t seem to be working properly. Overall would definitely stay there again as it was an enjoyable stay

What we like: accessible from the highway and walkable to the city center. What we don't like: Although the room looks clean, after a closer look we found moulds on the window sill. We reported to the front desk and it was cleaned by the time we were back in the room at end of the day.

The front desk guy when checking in I asked is our room an updated room and a good room? And he said yes it’s a great room you’re on the 2nd floor! (There’s only 2 floors) we get to our room and it’s the farthest walk possible, it was outdated and found a ball of human hair in our towel in the bathroom. When I walked past other rooms on the way to our room whose doors were opened they were the updated/renovated room so he straight up lied to my face. I still am giving 3 stars because the people working at the breakfast were very kind and helpful.

The hotel looks very nice from the outside. There are enough parking spaces available. The breakfast buffet offers many different dishes and drinks. Unfortunately, there is a very strong smell of food in the entrance area. We had a room with the windows above the kitchen. So when we ventilated it smelled like stale grease and unfortunately also at night. The room was also not very clean and a bit run down. The bathroom was rather dirty. It takes 30 minutes to walk to the centre of Galway.

I stayed here for 2 nights in May 2025. While going over my room upon check-in I discovered that the coffee mugs were used. Housekeeping rectified the situation and brought me a box of chocolates as recompense. Great touch! The breakfast has a good variety. The coffee machine brews tepid blah coffee, just have tea. Front desk can be replaced with computer screens. They barely made eye contact with me. Housekeeping seem to be better trained in hospitality.

Great hotel for the price. The check in staff were super friendly the day we arrived and dropped our bags. The hotel is a little older and under renovations. The rooms were spacious and the bathroom was nicely updated. The bedrooms have carpet which is a little outdated but overly great location and price. Close to city centre where all the pubs etc are.

On our late arrival 7/20/24, Manon was very professional and kind. Other staff at the breakfast were kind. At the hot counter, long wait for the staff to come to serve. On our departure day morning on 7/23/24, at check out, the lady was chatting with her friend over the phone on & on! We were polite and waited for her to the eye contact with us but she pretended not to see us. After a long wait we felt like this is personal so we were wondering “should we interrupt her or wait…?”. My husband decided to leave the key and the room # on the note on the desk. This is not acceptable.

We had lost our cell phone in a taxi. The staff went above and beyond to assist us in retrieving it. There was an issue at check in that they quickly adddressed and were so gracious. Absolutely loved our stay!

The earliest checkin time on the day of arrival was 4pm. After we got off our flight at Shannon Airport at 7.15pm there was an answer phone message informing us that they had resold our room and cancelled our booking as we were deemed to be a “no show”. Their only suggestion was to “find another hotel”. How can they deem us a no show just 3 hours after the earliest checkin? This was supposedly a 4 star hotel and the only last minute option was to downgrade to 3 star on our special milestone birthday celebration trip. Appalling treatment of customers

The bacon rashers looked and tasted as if they were steamed, and the pancakes were dry and hard and obviously had been sitting in the warming tray for a LONG time. We got there at 8:30 AM and it was not crowded. Would stay here again, but would not pay 17 (15 if you purchase in advance) euros for that buffet. Bleah.

He asked for a 2nd egg and sausage to be told no to the sausage. On that basis it took the shine of our whole experience which had been grast up to that poin. €15 for 1 egg 1 sausage and 1 hash brown on my opinion is extortionate

Property was great location, bus right outside when you could catch it, else a taxi was only ever minutes away. It is walkable in decent weather if you like a long walk into town as well. Room was comfortable and blanket was great to have if any person runs cold. The breakfast buffet was fantastic, so many variations - worth every penny! Food in general was really decent for dinner for late check-ins or days where the weather isn't cooperating. Staff was very nice and very accommodating as well.

Ett toppenhotell på alla sätt, vi hade bil så för oss var det värt att bo strax utanför stan och känna oss trygga med att kunna lämna bilen. Rummet var bättre än vi förväntade oss, och hotellets personal var utomordentligt trevliga allihop. Det enda negativa är kanske att frukosten saknade påläggsalternativ som vi i Norden kanske är mer vana vid :)

We spent three very enjoyable nights at the Menlo Park Hotel during our stay in Galway. We were delighted to receive a complimentary room upgrade, and we would like to sincerely thank the hotel for this lovely gesture, which made our stay even more enjoyable. The hotel is very clean, the rooms are comfortable, and the bed was excellent. The reception staff were always welcoming, friendly and helpful. The breakfast was very good, varied and complete, with plenty of choice to start the day. We also had dinner one evening at the hotel brasserie, and it was a very pleasant surprise. The food was delicious and the value for money was excellent, especially compared with some of the much more expensive restaurants in Galway city centre. One thing to keep in mind is that the hotel is not located in the city centre, so having a car is definitely recommended if you want to explore Galway and the surrounding area easily. Galway is a lovely, charming small city and a perfect base for a three-day stay, ideally located for exploring both the Cliffs of Moher and the beautiful Connemara region. We would happily recommend the Menlo Park Hotel and would definitely stay here again when visiting this part of Ireland! 🇮🇪
