Very easy to find with plenty of free parking - just ask for a ticket at reception. The bar/restaurant was full - but that was our fault for not booking when we were offered the chance. We had food from the lobby cafe which was very good value and plenty big enough. Breakfast was also good. Rooms were maybe a bit tired but overall an excellent stay, especially considering the price.

I stayed here with my daughter for one night for a bit of shopping. We got in to the hotel early but we were able to check in and leave our bags there. Staff were excellent very polite. We went to the bar and the barstaff were friendly. There was a man going around called Gordon he looked like a manager and couldnt be more helpful. He spoke to everyone we even had a laugh with him. The bedrooms were spotless and the beds were very comfy. Swimming pool was great and the jacuzzi. I have to say everything was brilliant. Would highly recommend it and definitely be back

Really loved the view! The Oyster Lane restaurant is fantastic. We ate there 3 out of the 4 nights that we were in Wexford. Best food that we've eaten while on our 4-week trip through Ireland. The gym needs some maintenance -- the equipment is rusted and squeaks.

A relaxing hotel to stay in ....great bar and food....staff were really good as you would expect from a 4 star establishment...its on the seafront and you can just walk out around the corner to the main high street shops.. so you can leave your car in the car park no need for taxis ....would recommend.

We had a lovely stay at the Talbot. We had requested early check-in and were delighted when we arrived and the room was ready. Excellent friendly staff from restaurant, bar and the reception. Our room was a triple overlooking the river. We found the food great and enjoyed the swimming pool too.

I enjoyed my stay at the talbot could not fault the bed rooms or cleanliness of the place I used the gym while i was here and it was ok but the cable weights could do with being updated and some of the weight machines Would definately stay again

Exceptional hotel in the heart of Wexford. We stayed for three nights and enjoyed every second of it. Food was top class and hotel was spotlessly clean. Staff very very friendly and very good at their jobs . Also we would like to thank the hotel for the birthday surprise that was left in the room . It added a lovely personal touch to our stay. Hotel room was lovely with a beautiful view of Wexford Harbour. Would highly recommend this hotel

Pretty nice place overall. The room was nice and overlooked the bay but it was hot and there was no a/c so we had to open the windows at night. When the bar closes there’s a lot of noise in the street from everyone talking so loudly. Still we had a great stay.

Our room was incredibly small for a double room. There was an additional single bed in the room! Could not work the TV. Car park was under construction so the parking situation was difficult. The hotel bar was great… good food, drink and atmosphere. All the staff were great. Would have been happier with a nicer room .

The main public areas were very nice and modern but our room although a basic double had a view over the hotel rooftops and a rusty towel rail that did not heat up. Our room needed updating. Great location in Wexford close to town centre.

We stayed for five nights, had a great room, big with a view over the water. It was clean, fresh, and modern. We had dinner in the Hotel restaurant on two nights, and the food and service were excellent. Good experience all round.

The Talbot is one of the top hotels in Wexford. Staff are uniformly friendly and welcoming and the room was spacious and comfortable, if a bit over-warm when we arrived because the window had evidently been left closed. The breakfast is good but there is a somewhat over-emphatic insistence on reserving a specific time and when we needed to change our time for breakfast on the last morning we were told that our requested time was not available and we would have to go either half an hour earlier or half an hour later. We went half an hour earlier and were very surprised to see that, at the time had asked to change to (but been told we couldn’t), the restaurant was mostly empty. Quite strange and inexplicable!

Very pleased with our 2 day stay. Staff efficient and friendly, nothing was a problem. Room was spotlessly clean and serviced each day. Breakfast is buffet style and has everything for selection that you could want.

Checked in but room wasn't ready but it was 3 ish so left our bags in.When we returned aftrr 4 told bags wrre in our room on the fourth floor.Hotel nèds updated. Also when checking in your asked what time you want breakfast at a pre covid thing I thought and put most people off.Food good but room not great .

Old fashioned bedroom; the units need repositioned for ease of movement but appreciate that refurbishment is expensive. Exceptional staff who attended to various requests at Reception, even suggested taking the courtesy coach to the Opera House as it was raining, bar generous with fresh water and attention from room service to erratic hot/water supply immediate. We loved our corner bedroom site overlooking the bay, when it could be seen! Also love that Hotel has retained old world charm with lots of nooks and spaces to meet/ chat or view the passing characters. Friendly, competent and pleasing.

The staff here is extremely accommodating from the moment you check in until you leave. Superior service. Spacious room, great view of the harbor. The restaurants in the hotel were really good (breakfast and dinner). Would definitely stay again!

We had a lovely room overlooking the water. It was right on the road so there was some noise, but we expected that given our choice of room overlooking the water. Staff were very friendly and the pastries and coffee were wonderful. Location was great. We did a lot of walking - thru the town behind the hotel and down across the bridge on the way to the train station. We walked to the hotel from the train station. It was a perfect stay.

Pleasant enough stay, fur is a night stop before the ferry from Rosslaire (20 minutes easy drive). Easy parking on hotel car park. Rooms ok, if a little dated. Bathroom again, ok. We are at one of their restaurants which was nice, good service from the waiting staff. Overall a good, if rather forgettable stay.

Really loved the view! The Oyster Lane restaurant is fantastic. We ate there 3 out of the 4 nights that we were in Wexford. Best food that we've eaten while on our 4-week trip through Ireland. The gym needs some maintenance -- the equipment is rusted and squeaks.

I did not like the fact that even though I was a resident I could not get a meal on my first evening as they were so busy. I ended up with a tub of Pringles from a nearby shop, not a good start to my holiday.

We stayed for five nights, had a great room, big with a view over the water. It was clean, fresh, and modern. We had dinner in the Hotel restaurant on two nights, and the food and service were excellent. Good experience all round.

Very comfortable room, lovely bed and bedding, fabulous breakfast with huge choice, and hot plates. Good meal in Ballast Bar. Central location with free private parking. Only negatives were that time slots we were offered for breakfast were very limited (nothing between 8.30 and 11 when we’d have like to go at 9am), and some maintenance issues, extractor fan in bathroom and tv remote not working. Also bedroom doors are impossible to close quietly, resulting in some disturbance.

The staff were excellent and parking (across the road) was perfect. The hotel was quite cold during the day and the dinner menu was somewhat limited (admittedly they were catering for numerous parties).

£154 no breakfast. None of the usual stuff you’d get in even cheapest hotel.example no soap no shampoo. Half roll toilet paper 3 tissues in box no drinking water in room. Cups saucers dusty. Wouldn’t recommend booking to anyone. In fact I should receive my money back. Was kept awake till early hours by bar under my window and woken at 8 am by workers. Scaffolding through out my window meaning no fresh air.

A total waste of money. I've stayed at excellent hotels for less. It took nearly 10 minutes to find the room, following the instructions given by staff. The signage is terrible, the worst I've experienced, so bad I sent images to my friends asking if they could direct me to room 103. The cups in the room were dirty - used! I scanned the QR code on the mirror and got a dead link. The food options on a giant board downstairs were...well, I went to a nearby shop and bought a sandwich from their chiller cabinet, which says it all. The fire exit map had a felt-tip arrow pointing to a staircase that wasn't labelled as a fire exit on the map, even though others were. I'll never go to another Talbot Hotel.
