Had a lovely stay here, it's in a lovely quiet location with beautiful views.I enjoyed the pool, sauna, steam room and Jacuzzi and also enjoyed a treatment at the spa. I had a great night's sleep even though there was a wedding on due to the great position of my room. Staff were friendly, I had a lovely evening meal and breakfast too. I could not fault this hotel and will definitely be back!

Great pool for kids. Nice food and music in the bar. Very relaxing family break. Bunk bed room is great (especially when you get a free upgrade!).

Room and bathroom SPOTLESS. Clever placement of sockets either side of TV with associated mirrors at each side also. Staff couldn’t have been nicer. Loads of parking - only thing could be better would be installation of EV charging points (not just one)

What a fantastic stay at the hotel. The service was great. We only ate in the bar but the food was lovely and the breakfast had plenty of choice. The pool and gym facilities were fabulous too. I would highly recommend

Stayed here with my wife and young son for 2 nights! Staff were brilliant and very accommodating to any requests we had prior to and during our stay. What was disappointing was the condition of the hotel itself and the rooms. The one lift used to access bedrooms constantly smelled like a toilet which was very unpleasant. The room we stayed in although a decent size is in much need of a facelift from carpet to curtains and bathroom. Pool area again very basic but clean. We booked the restaurant but was told it wasn’t open till later and we had to eat in the bar which was fine but was not mentioned when booking. Again staff were lovely but frozen pre made burgers is just not what you expect from a 4 star hotel especially for €224 a night

The staff on arrival were fantastic. The room was a good size and the hotel was big with a great pool. The walk to the lake was nice and the hotel was well geared to those with children.

The breakfast was fab, loved it. Well organised and fresh. The room wasn't the best. Stains on the unit as you walk in the door, no safe, no mini fridge, dusty lights, shutters missing parts, dirt under the beds. The beds are comfy but not the duvet or pillows. I woke both nights with the cold, checked the radiator, heating not on, took the duvet off the other bed and threw it over me as well. The pillows are sweaty, small and hard. I couldn't use them. No towel rail for hand towels at the sink so they kept falling off the toilet onto the toilet brush! Bath very high for me, nearly fell getting out of the shower. The tap on the sink doesn’t move out of the way when brushing my teeth and no shelves, just drawers for my toiletries.

More and more services have become self serviced. You even have to trawl down long corridors to fill. up with drinking water. . One toaster and one slow coffee machine, do not make breakfast relaxing and enjoyable. Having said that the room was comfortable and clean. Staff very friendly and helpful.

Staff were lovely and so friendly, room had definite signs of not being cleaned we found fake eyelashes on bathroom counter top, crisps and plastic wrappers on carpet in bedroom. There was no complementary toiletries within the room. There was building work going on right across from our room and all down the hallway which started from 7.45am. it would have been beneficial to let us know in advance or place us somewhere else within hotel

Dirty bathroom ,wouldnt stay there again . Food was 2 out of 10 at best evening waitress staff were very unresponsive , chewing chewing gum wasnt the best look. Shame as it wasn't all bad, breakfast staff were good .it could be a really nice place with some tlc. Charles

Lovely clean, well maintained hotel with excellent customer service and facilities suitable for a couple or a family break. Overall a lovely stay in a very nice hotel.

Lovely big room and great service

The staff in the Bar and Spa, but especially Tony at reception were just brilliant. They were all friendly, helpful and just lovely to deal with. The rooms that have been renovated are gorgeous and quirky, a world apart to the ones that haven’t been transformed yet, but even the original rooms are clean and comfortable. I needed to change rooms and I found the staff At reception to be very understanding and accommodating. I highly recommend spending a day at Belvedere House and Gardens also. It is a 1 minute drive from the hotel and has gorgeous forest walks with Fairy trails, swings at the lakeside and fab gardens. Overall I really enjoyed my solo relaxing break at Bloomfield House Hotel.

Nice entrance, nice room decor - no substance - cheap uncomfortable mattresses in family room. Booked a single room - travelling for work, allocated a family room - bunk beds! Less bling and better quality beds please.

Just one night, but corridor was quite noisy (main route to the spa). Staff friendly and helpful, especially in the restaurant. Lovely breakfast choice. Room clean and comfortable. V minimum toiletries. Directions to the water stations would be useful.

Staff and facilities were good - but this has to be one of the noisiest hotels I’ve stayed in. We stayed for three nights - first night had to ask a group to be quiet at midnight - second night closed the corridor windows as the AC was so loud - third night thumping music until 1:30am - some form of celebration.

I was in room 202 and the windows in there really need to be upgraded, there was a bad draft in through the windows which even with the curtains closed was uncomfortable, the curtains were actually blowing

Small bed for 6ft 2 guy. Room was large and spacious. Easy access to the restaurant and bar/breakfast

There was an issue with my room and I was quickly upgraded to another room! Wonderful view

We were upgraded to a suite, absolutely beautiful. Lobby bars and restaurants have all been recently refurbished. Great atmosphere and brilliant staff

Bloomfield was to be the highlight of our places to stay in which the room and property were nice. However, after a regrettable faux pas we were seated in a dark room, in a corner behind a door, away from all other guests for breakfast, away from the sunlight atrium and breakfast room. A slap on the wrist perhaps? I am attempting to fix the situation but it left a sour note for the entire rest of our trip to be treated like that.

Everything was perfect apart from the check in. I phoned a few weeks before my stay to inform the hotel that we would be there before normal check in time and was there anywhere we could change as we were going to a wedding at a different venue. I was initially offered the public toilet in the hotel and then the leisure centre changing area. I phoned on the way to the hotel to see if the room was ready and was given the same answer as to the room availability and the area we could change in. When we arrived at the hotel we again were offered the same facilities for changing. I understand if a room isn't ready but surely there would be a room we could have changed in. The people in reception weren't inclined to check us in as the room wasn't available even when I told them we wouldn't be back until the early hours of the morning and i was worried they would say we hadn't arrived and so give the room away. I had to push to be checked in and then had a strange discussion with a front desk manager who wanted to charge me extra despite the fact I had an email stating the rate for my stay. Admittedly it was a small amount extra but it was the attitude that made me dig my heels in. The rest of the stay was excellent as was the hotel in general but the front desk rules could do with a looking at.

Staff brilliant

Stayed twice, both of which have been pleasant. Rooms clean and facilities good Only somewhat negative point is the service in the bar/grill. Staff seem reluctant to approach your table to take orders, give out menus etc. Noticed others as well as myself going to the bar to order food and pay bills etc.

I love where the property is situated, you get a great sense of calm over looking the lough. First time to visit it won't be our last! Such lovely staff who couldn't have done enough for us.

Beautiful area within the hotel for a walk round by the lake and very well kept area.

Lovely scenery

Excellent hotel. Room was lovely and warm and cozy. Big rooms. Receptionist on arrival was very friendly and informative. The breakfast was great. Hotel great value for money. We stayed mid week in January and there was plenty of people there and alot going on. The grounds outside are beautiful. 10/10 would stay again.

Food was not good, lunch club sandwich with chunky chips great, dinner well done steak was pink inside and no chunky chips, fish in batter that looked and tasted like reheated with very little fish inside staff absolutely fantastic
