Perfect and romantic little room. We’ve stayed here before and it’s always a joy to come back. Lovely and historic decor, and historic information at every turn. Breakfast served in extraordinary cellar halls. And real scrambled eggs, not the carton stuff u get in most hotels. Minibar, room service and all the comforts you expect from a high end hotel. The only thing I could fault is the “bar”, it doesn’t really have one. But there is a restaurant where u can get a cold one if you’re not up for leaving the premises at all…

Zentral gelegenes Hotel mit liebevoller, historischer Einrichtung und super Frühstücksbuffet. Sollte an der Straße (kostenpflichtig) nichts mehr frei sein, sind zusätzliche, auch kostenpflichtige Parkplätze direkt im Parkhaus gegenüber verfügbar (für den Zugangscode muss man sich erst einmal an der Rezeption melden).

Allt var väldigt bra från trevlig snabb in och utcheckning i denna fantastiskt mysiga Hotell, väldigt bra frukost i rummen på nedre plan fint med valven väl bevarade, vårt lyx-dubbel rum stort och mycket trevligt bekväm super rent, rekommenderar verkligen detta Hotel, nära till restauranger och konserter i Malmö, finns parkering mitt emot Hotellet i parkering hus lätt tillgänglig

After staying in several large, corporate hotels, this was a real change. The hotel is in an old building with some very interesting history. For example, one room, where you can sit and enjoy the complimentary tea and coffee, used to be the town's library. Breakfast is served in the cellar, which used to be a bar. Two of the Beatles even visited in 1967. There also works of art from modern artists all over the place.

After staying in several large, corporate hotels, this was a real change. The hotel is in an old building with some very interesting history. Nice atmosphere, nice room. Matress a bit soft. Nice breakfast, good selection. Cleaning was not the best … carpet with hair from previous guests, bin in bathroom not emptied, so we ‘shared’ garbage with previous guests - rather groce. Can of soft drink in the minibar had expired … so check date before you take anything from the fridge. Front desk just noted down what we reported …. not especially apologetic.

Great stopover on our way to Copenhagen. Hotel in a great location to train station and old town. Very walkable. 24-hour garage across the street was easy to use, $35. Room was comfortable, but could use a fan since there isn’t AC and the outside noise comes in the windows. Coffee and tea in the library. Would recommend.

The Mayfair hotel is an amazing historical landmark of Malmo. So much to explore both inside and around it. My single room is small but has everything you need. One small downside of living in an older building is that it is not very soundproof (from both the street and the corridor). But can’t be too picky when have the chance to participate in this unique experience.

I do not write many reviews, but I felt compelled to write about this hotel. This was my second stay at the Mayfair Hotel Tunneln in the last 6 months. The first time was great. I think many people come here for the breakfast and decor, both of which are nice. This time, however, our room was not clean. The floor had hairs and loose dirt on them. Also, the staff was not very helpful or honest after they made a mistake with our parking. They registered our car themselves for parking in their lot and wrote 1 number incorrectly. As a result, we were issued an $80 parking ticket. When we tried to resolve this with management, they said they couldn't do anything about it and claimed we input the license number - but that was not true. We were disappointed by this poor level of honesty and customer service. I would not come back to this hotel.

Amazing staff. Helpful with all our questions. When we had a phone lost in an Uber they were helpful by letting it be returned to the hotel as we had to leave for our next destination. They helped us in getting it shipped to the United States. Everyone in front desk and housekeeping were so pleasant and helpful!

Service i receptionen hørte en anden tid til. Ønskede at tjekke tidligt ind, hvilket kostede 200 kr. (kl. var 14 og check-in var fra kl. 16) Værelset var klar, men fair nok, det ønskede vi ikke at betale for. Så spurgte receptionisten, hvornår vi ville komme igen. Vi skulle til bryllup og vidste ikke, hvornår festen sluttede, så det kunne vi ikke svare på. Men det skulle vi, fordi de skulle lave en ‘natkørsel’ i deres system, og hvis vi kom sent risikerede vi, at vi ikke kunne få værelset fordi, det ville være ‘no show’. Prøvede at forklare, at vi jo havde forudbetalt, så ‘no show’ gav ikke rigtigt mening. Foreslog, at han blot kunne give os nøglen nu, og at vi ikke ville gå på værelset, men det kunne der ikke være tale om. Håbløs service. Det bør være muligt at tænke selv, og når man annoncerer med 24-timers reception, skal man ikke diskutere med gæsterne om, hvad tid de har tænkt sig at ankomme. Vi kommer ikke igen.

What a beautiful and peaceful hotel. Getting an upgrade was such a lovely surprise and the spacious room is a joy to return to from our sightseeing and dinner. Heated towel rail is a bonus. The beds are comfortable. The location close to the square and central railway station makes this place very desirable. My husband and I would highly recommend this hotel as well as Malmö as a destination to all our family and friends

One of the nicest hotels I’ve stayed. Staff was helpful, room was perfect mix of old and new. Building has history that’s incredible. Dining area for breakfast was amazing.

Clean and comfortable, lovely room in a cozy, historic building. Staff were so helpful and friendly. Great location near the old square. Breakfast was wonderful in an historic space. Would absolutely recommend and stay here again.

We love the friendly staff, the comfortable beds, and the charm of an old establishment. It has a fascinating history that is fun to see in the halls and artwork. The breakfast is to die for and I've if the best I've ever had and s great way to start the day.

Frukosten var under all kritik. På lördagen gott bröd men i övrigt tråkigt utbud. På söndagen endast tråkigt bake off bröd och inga hårdkokta ägg. Dåligt grönsaksutbud och i allra högsta grad standard/enkelt påläggsutbud.

We love this place and don't even shop around any longer. It can't be beat for its location near the central train station, the main square, comfortable beds, and an amazing breakfast. And the price is right. We've stayed half a dozen times and always look forward to coming back!

The Hotel is a lovely experience of old Sweden. It used to be the Malmo library and one of the library rooms is now a coffee lounge full of books and free coffee and tea to use during the day. The breakfast room is in the crypt underground and is nice and cool with lots of tables, great coffee and a substantial varied breakfast. The hotel itself is quaint with lots of corridors with lovely pictures of how Malmo used to be as well as all the stars and celebrities who have visited the hotel. The rooms are comfortable and have character. Ours have a table, sofa and chairs as well as a small balcony. The staff were extremely helpful allowing us to pay a bit extra to book in early as we had arrived early from Copenhagen. This made it a lot easier with our baggage as we only had one day planned in Malmo. The hotel is about 2-3 minutes from the main square with a statue, the courtrooms and, if you can, have a look inside the Apocathery which still has all the draws and shelves from history! There is a Lidl about 5 minutes away if you want cheap drinks, food and low alcohol beer! We had a lovely stay and would go back if we were there again.

Beautiful hotel lots of history about it and art work .Only 3min walk to central station Staff extremely friendly and helpful Room was excellent ,lovely sitting area which was Malmö’s old library with coffee machine and allowed to take coffee up to room In room you can also make tea/coffee Couldn’t fault this hotel in any way and would stay again and recommend to others

This is a lovely independent hotel with lots of history and character. It’s very convenient for the train station and the Old Town, and walking distance to all the main sights. We especially loved the breakfast, which is served in the very atmospheric cellar vaults.
