The night before an important business meeting, I spoke with the front desk and was assured that I could use an iron in the laundry room the following morning. I also called in advance to confirm this. However, when I went to the laundry room the next morning, there was no iron available. This caused a major inconvenience, as I was unable to iron my clothes before my meeting and had to attend looking unprofessional. Given the nature of my visit, this was particularly disappointing. Very good hostel. Clean, great location, close to the train station and right in the city. I wish you could bring your own drinks and food to eat in the shared space but they don’t allow it so you have to eat in your room which is unfortunate. Also need to pay to use the game facilities. Overall very nice though

Room was clean but my bed was uncomfortable - thin, hard mattress. And the bed frame squeaked noisily every time I got up. Motion sensor-activated bathroom light was a nuisance when someone wanted to use the bathroom in the middle of the night. One of the two elevators broke down during our stay and we had to climb 7 flights of stairs to reach our room. Breakfast was very good especially for SEK 95 and the staff were pleasant.

Second time staying here. Good for a no-frills stay. There is no kitchen and luggage storage costs extra (40 SEK / 8 hours). The ensuite bathroom is small and dated but clean. It has a large institutional feel to it, which you may or may not like. The only common area is the ground floor bar.

Eigenes Essen und Getränke sind nicht auf den Zimmern gestattet, was ich persönlich ziemlich komisch finde.. bei -6 grad wurde die heizung nicht richtig warm und bei Veranstaltungen in angehörigen Bar waren diese bis in den 5. stock zu hören. Ansonsten okay, würde ich eher nicht wieder machen.

Great base in Stockholm as part of a longer trip that allowed us to “recharge our batteries”, do our laundry etc. we ate dinner one night and had breakfast there and the food, service and general vibe were all really good. There are also options nearby for eating and drinking (and a great bakery up the road!) Highly recommended!

Bra sted, men mye bråk på natten fra nattklubben under. Veldig høy spilt musikk fram til kl.1 på natta. Bra frokost og rommene er ok ellers. Barnefamilier burde imidlertid ikke plasseres rett over bar/nattklubben pga mye støy om natten.

Oengagerad personal, dålig information. Badrummet var sämre än på en färja. Var tvungen att ha på handfatskranen för att kunna duscha. Två hissar för ett stort hotell, långa väntetider pga det. För tidig utcheckningstid. Frukost ingick inte, gick att köpa till, men visade sig att det inte var vanlig frukostbuffé, 95kr för en skål yoghurt med lite bär eller en smörgås.

Dålig service. Platta kuddar där man fick köpa extra kudde. Frukost fick man köpa till (ej buffe) och det va extra dyrt att köpa samma morgon. Tex. 1st liten korvmacka utan dryck för 139kr Dålig ventilation och rummet luktade avlopp. Toaborste full med avföring. Blir inget återbesök.

Bodde två nätter i sovsal med 6 bäddar. Sängen var inte så fräsch, madrassen var alldeles sandig och det fanns skräp under. Dock fräscha lakan, kudde och täcke. Handtaget till badrummet höll på att ramla av. Trevligt på entréplan med sociala ytor, bar, flipperspel etc.

Stort, fint rom med god gulvplass. Mange stikkontakter, det var stort pluss! Gode senger, lydtette vinduer. Støy fra vannrør litt plagsomt på natta. Alle i resepsjon og kafé ga helt topp service. Heisdørene virket ikke alltid de første dagene. Dårlig, tett luft på rommet og det kom av tykt lag med gammelt støv på veggene :-( Ba om renhold, men det skjedde ikke. Vi bodde her i 6 netter. Ingen renhold overhodet av rommet. Jeg har ikke bodd på så skittent rom på 29 år faktisk - og da i et land Sverige ikke vil sammenligne seg med. Hvis rommet hadde vært rent, så hadde dette vært et fantastisk opphold. Bor gjerne her igjen, men vil da sjekke rommet nøye ved ankomst og evt kreve ekstra renhold mens jeg ser på.

Vi var på familjeresa, två vuxna och två barn. Rummet var okej, stort badrum och sköna sängar. Dock var det väldigt dammigt på lister, fönsterbrädor, element och andra ytor. Dörren till badrummet var lortig och lika så sänggaveln. Det var även lortigt och dammigt på hotellets övriga samlings ytor. Angående frukosten så hade vi önskat buffe. Dag två gick vi till ett annat hotell och åt frukost villket passade oss bättre.

teenagers running around and knocking others’ doors as pranks, when I press keys in elevator to go up there’s once a kid outside the elevator who keeps the door from closing — being a hostel as it it this was expected so no hard feelings room was less clean than expected but not too dirty, the room was spacious though

Could hear people and music in next room, guessing walls quite thin. Beds comfortable with reading lights and storage. They brought bath mat/hand towel when wrote on review. Would have expected towels. Over all a great hostel, would recommend.

Lovely stay, reception team were very friendly, especially Diana. Easy to use laundry facilities too which were very helpful for us. Only issue we found was that the lifts were a bit temperamental but wasn’t too bad taking the stairs!

I stayed in an all female 6 person hostel room and I thought it was clean and pretty decent. I will say that their customer service could improve, I brought up some concern over safety because there was police showing up at our hostel room (apparently they were looking for someone) and they pretty much laughed and joked around, jokingly saying “maybe they’re looking for you” and just had me call the police instead of provide any information or re-assurance that the room was safe from that person. If guest are concerned about safety and other potential dangerous guest they should investigate, not laugh and joke around. Luckily the person who they were looking for left.

This is a very good hostel with an excellent location. I would have given a higher rating if the check-in had gone smoother. The girl at the reception asked for my passport and I was about to hand it to her when she without an explanation just left, leaving me "hanging". Besides that, it was a very good experience staying with Generator Stockholm.

Good location, 15 minute walk from Central train/bus station. Many restaurants relatively close by. Room was comfortable. Elevators are very slow and laundry facility is very limited, but you can get laundry done here. Pretty happy with my stay here. No tv or refrigerator in room, but knew that ahead of time. Lockers available if you arrive early and need to secure your luggage, they were very easy to use. Didnt try hotel food so cant dwell on that. I heard English, American, French, German, and Spanish touristshere. Overall pretty solid experience.

Vi var överlag nöjda. Däremot ska man vara medveten om att frukost och parkering inte ingår i priset. Parkering en liten promenad därifrån kostar 425 kr dygnet och frukost 95 kr per person och då väljer man något från en meny, ingen buffé. På rummet saknades dricksglas och det var lite dammigt. Men läget är verkligen toppenbra.

Room was well designed and all fixtures and fittings worked well. Small things like plenty hooks on walls appreciated. Chairs unupholstered and not very comfy Room not cleaned when we left 'Clean Room' tab on door. Recep said we should have asked thru recep. B'fast great and in-house Bistro also.

La ubicación es muy buena. La habitación estaba limpia pero no entran a limpiar ni cambiar sabanas/toallas en toda la estancia El desayuno lo pagamos un solo día para probarlo y no nos gustó. No era tipo buffet y lo que nos pusieron no nos gustó.
