Stayed 3 nights

I've been coming to Argelès-sur-Mer since 1998 to visit my parents, but since the birth of my child, we prefer to stay in nearby hotels for convenience and to enjoy the pool. Upon arrival, I informed the receptionist that I was a regular guest at Le Cottage. She couldn't find my name because they had apparently changed their computer system. I also told her that my mother (recently a widow) would be coming to visit me and her grandson, to which she replied that it was no problem. The receptionist also asked if I had a car, to which I replied yes. She then informed me that parking would be 10 euros per night. I agreed and told her that for the next two nights, I would park elsewhere. As I was leaving (checking out), another receptionist asked me who the old lady was who had accompanied us to the pool. I replied that it was my 77-year-old mother. The receptionist wanted to charge me 20 euros (visitor pass), which I vigorously contested, arguing that it hadn't been mentioned at check-in, my mother had spent an hour or two in the shade on a chair (without even using the pool once) watching her grandson play, and we had all consumed hotel drinks. The receptionist also wanted to charge me 30 euros for overnight parking. I said I had only parked my car for one night, to which she replied that she had no proof. Luckily, I tend to take photos of my car parked overnight (for insurance purposes). Finally, if you'd like a better&friendly service, try Les Mouettes & Grand Hotel du Golfe!

Stayed 2 nights

Very nice hotel! We stayed in one of the family rooms. Everything seemed to be newly renovated and it was very clean. A lot of activities for the kids as well - swimming pool, table tennis, chess. The only annoying thing that we experienced is that people smoke inside the pool area.

Stayed 5 nights

Stayed for 5 nights as a couple with no car. The hotel is beautifully designed very comfortable rooms plenty of space with balcony. Breakfast was an additional charge however the best breakfast we had choice wise during our stay in france. My husband required GF & this was accommodated no problem. The only advice for anyone staying without a car it is a good 25 minute walk to the beach & restaurants area however there are some nice restaurants near the hotel in the village within a10 min walk. There is also a bus running daily (not sunday( to take people to the beach. we arrived by train& this was an easy 10mins walk. Overall we were really happy with our stay at the cottage the staff were very helpful. The pool area is lovely with lots of space & towels provided. I hope to be back soon.

Stayed 2 nights

Excellent hotel, with a new feel to it. Slept well, very quiet and did not hear the neighbours. Terrace had an electric shutter on it so when you shut it, the room had no morning light coming in, which was perfect for when we wanted to sleep in. External swimming pool is heated and warm enough to spend time in it. Spa is perfect for a few hours and was open 9am to 9pm. All staff were very friendly and accomodating. When we went to book treatments on the last morning they offered to extend our stay, at no cost, so that we could go back to the room after the treatments. Treatments were very enjoyable. Parking was ideal with security cameras, but in the end we did not park on site but left our car parked in front of the Gendarmerie which was a very short walk away. Lots of nice restaurants close by. The beach and port were a 4 minute drive away. There is free parking at the port and the parking at the beach is free, except during June and July I believe. Nice long beaches. We found all the staff in Argeles to be genuinely friendly. Nice coastal walk to Collioure or you can take the train or bus and thereby avoid the hassle of trying to find somewhere to park in Collioure.
