The hotel and its employees were exceptional. The only problem we had was that we were on the second floor with no lift. The young lady from the desk graciously lifted our suitcases to the second floor without our realizing it would be her.

Historic hotel in the centre of Colmar, handy for everything. Lovely restaurant and good bar. Private garage parking available, a short walk away. Quaint rooms, our had a great view.

The hotel itself was quite nice, and the location is lovely. One thing guests should be aware of, though, is that if you are given a room in the **annex, which is in a separate building**, getting to the room is a bit unusual and not particularly pleasant. You have to cross an outdoor area and then go up very narrow, dark, rather dirty stairs that could definitely use some cleaning and maintenance. You’re also given a key that you need to use to unlock multiple doors along the way. The staff was okay—not rude, but not especially warm or welcoming either. At times, we got the impression that our questions or requests were a bit of an inconvenience. Given that Colmar is such a tourist destination, I had expected the staff to be a little more welcoming and helpful. Overall, the hotel has a lot of charm, but I would recommend asking whether your room is in the main building or the annex before booking. I would not come back to this Hotel
