Great central location. Comfy bed. Fantastic friendly staff without exception. Extremely welcoming and great touch of dog bowls and biscuits. Some TLC needed in parts but overall stunning. Amazing breakfast for a celiac. The only drawback is no onsite secure parking but there is plentiful public parking only 90 seconds walk away.

Our room on the second floor was big, clean, and comfortable, with a street view. The garden out back is a great place to relax. We didn’t use the spa or restaurant, but the reception staff were helpful throughout our stay.

We really liked this hotel. Location was pretty central and there is a public car park very close by. All the staff were very lovely. Breakfast was good. We were given a room upgrade to one with a balcony, which was great. The walk to the seafront wasn't too far. The only suggestion was that it would have been nice for the hotel to have made more use of its courtyard garden (maybe some outdoor lights for the evening). Overall a lovely hotel and we had a very good stay.

Very nice breakfast with lots of choices. Also enjoyed the bar at the hotel, the bartender made wonderful espresso martinis! The room was very nice but not very soundproof. It is not the hotels fault but we did have very noisy neighbours which made it difficult to sleep our first night.

Really beautiful hotel in a great area. Our room was quiet and spacious, and the bed was really comfortable. High ceilings, discrete decor and well appointed bathroom. The car park was a public one, about 200 meters away from the hotel, but was reasonably priced and very secure.

A nice welcome at the property and the room was large and facilities fine. The first floor outside the room was fairly dark with litttle lighting, this did make the trip from top of the stairs to the room a little difficult, especially having come in from a very bright day. Breakfast was fine, although the same everyday. The bar was not always manned, with bar staff often doing other tasks and causing long waits. Some bar staff would attend to people at tables outside, others would not, meaning a walk to the bar. Finding the hotel was a problem as despite the car having Sat-Nav, La Rochelle does not seem to like the motor car and one-way streets meant getting close and then forcing you away, also the SatNav did not know about 'rising bollards' that prevent access to exactly where you want to go. Once we found the Place du Verdun car park, where we could abandon the car and walk a block, we were fine. The price of parking was reasonable.

Tired public areas, they were short staffed so bar was closed. Rooms nice and newly decorated. You could see the hotel was nice in its day with some classical features. Very convenient location. Claimed ‘parking available’ but very limited space so we parked in the public car park 2mins walk away which was very good; big spaces.

The hotel is conveniently located near to the bus terminal so making it ideal for arrival & departure from airport. We loved the central location with everything a short stroll away incl shops, cafes & quay etc. Staff were very welcoming & helpful when needed. Our room was lovely, big, quiet, clean & serviced regularly. Thank you for a lovely stay & we will definitely be booking again for our future visits to La Rochelle

classed as a four start which is stretching a little - although clean and resnably comfortable the room we had really didnt live up to a four star hotel room - a shower over a very narrow bath, the shower itself was a trickle and the towels nearly threadbare and very thin. The bed was in an alcove of sorts and quite difficult to move around it. parking was offsite, quite close but a public carpark

The staff at reception were faultlessly kind and helpful. The building has maintained its history in the public rooms. The bedroom was very clean, a comfortable large bed and fully equipped bathroom. The hotel was located quietly away from the busy shopping streets but within a short walk of Place du Verdun, Le Marche and the old port. Would highly recommend for a stay in beautiful La Rochelle

Entre amis pour nouvel an, suite Québec super! 2 chambres, de l’espace, literie parfaite et jolie Deco sobre. Seul bémol il n’y a pas de mini bar dans la chambre et c’est dommage, la baignoire était abîmée mais on m’a dit qu’elle allait être changée et dommage aussi pour les serviettes et peignoirs qui manquent de douceur… sinon c’était parfait, très bel endroit bien placé et service et accueil impeccables! Je conseille vivement!!

Nous avons été agréablement surpris par la gentillesse du staff de l’hôtel, dans le sens où c’est réellement l’équipe d’hôtel la plus conciliante et la plus customer focus du monde (et on en a fait un certain nombre des hôtels dans le monde!). L’hôtel est magnifique, son jardin est sympa aussi (quand la météo permet d’en profiter ^^). Les lits sont très confortables, et les espaces communs, désignés comme des pièces de maison, donnent l’impression d’être chez soi ou d’être invité chez quelqu’un! C’est un sentiment très agréable. Encore merci pour cet agréable séjour ☺️

We had an enjoyable stay in this very authentic La Rochelle Mansion. Staff was very attentive to details. Breakfast could have been a bit more exciting.
