Good hotel in a quiet residential area but close to the port of La Rochelle. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. The hotel has an underground parking with a possibility to charge an electric vehicle. Rooms are clean and bed is comfortable. Ideal as a base to discover La Rochelle and the Ile de Ré.

Parking a bit tight, and book before you arrive as slots are limited. With so much available in LR port, the hotel quiet in the evenings. Express breakfast is about right as full version is expensive at €22 against €9.50. Room size OK for 3*.

Lovely hotel although did find the dinner food offering confusing and didn't see anybody use it. Breakfast was fine although service area got crowded at times. Good choices. Service fine and room nice. Only gripe, which I think a number of guests had, was the room air con which was in error mode quite a bit. Bit annoyed with height of car park, which was very low. Couldn't raise the boot fully and scraped the paintwork. Overall though a nice experience. Location was perfect for sightseeing etc.

The check in was easy and fast. The room has a comfortable size and good beds. Take care when getting out of the bath. The step is huge. The hotel is less than 10 min from downtown with all the bars and restaurants. 4 min from the train station. There is a garage in house.

Chambre initialement attribuée au dernier étage était juste sous un ventilateur (VMC) extrêmement bruyant (défectueux). Nous avons donc changé de chambre au même étage avec le même bruit mais beaucoup plus atténué. De plus, bien que le séjour ait été payé d'avance sur Hotels.com et malgré que la réception nous l'a confirmé, nous avons été débités du prix de la chambre à notre arrivée et de la taxe de séjour. Nous nous en sommes aperçus le lendemain et avons téléphoné pour nous faire rembourser de cette erreur, ce qui a été fait immédiatement. Sinon hôtel très confortable calme et bien situé juste à côté de la gare et tout près du centre à pied.

Special thanks to the receptionist who helped us when we were trying to find a suitable parking space for our longer than average car - phoning the hotel next door to ask if we could park in one of their spaces. Much appreciated. All staff were very helpful. The hotel is near the train station in a quiet area but an easy level walk to the bars, restaurants, shops etc.
