We had two small dogs with us and we were allocated a chalet opposite the hotel. This was ideal as one of our dogs was a puppy and needed to wee about 4am. We could take him straight out of the door instead of walking down a corridor, using the lift and probably waking other customers. Excellent

Only a stones throw from the motorway this hotel has great rooms & wonderfyl restaurant. Picnic breafast is available if you need an early start, though the real thing is availble from 06.30. Great outdoor pool in season

Very comfortable and accessible. Nice restaurant . Would be put off coming back if the very large security deposit (€177) was not returned promptly. This was in addition to the room and meal charge and no deducted on check out. This was not explained at the time we checked in, nor were we given a copy of the form we signed. Think this is excessively cautious and means a big initial outlay for a stop off - particularly when they say it may take a week to come back. Very limited tea and milk in the room and unable to give us more.

The chalet accommodation is ideal for us and our two small dogs as we do not disturb the hotel guests if the dogs want an early morning toilet. The food in the restaurant was very nice but an “over the top” bar tender added farce to a lovely evening. We have stayed in the chalets for the last two years but no maintenance work has been done on faulty door handles and toilet flushes.

Dinner was great, but unfortunately public areas were cold. Room was really cold and took a long time to warm up. Felt like it had not been used for a while and the separate loo was very smelly and made the whole room smell. Am sure it is lovely in the summer

Très bon séjour, réception et salle de restaurant parfaite nous avons passé une excellente nuit. Le seul petit bémol c'était que la chambre était juste au-dessus de l'entrée de l'hôtel donc l'odeur de cigarette froide était un peu présente dans la chambre. Je recommande 100% tout de même cette établissement.

We took a chalet outside of the hotel, it was ideal for our two small dogs. The bed was very comfortable and the patio was great for a glass of wine as night drew in. The room was clean and the bathroom was spacious. Unfortunately, the reception was poor and I spent two occasions standing in a queue for 15 minutes, not ideal after driving for ten hours. Unable to reserve a table in the restaurant until 8.30pm, again too late after starting our journey from the UK at 4.30pm. I assume that tables were not available as there appeared to be a coachload of cyclists in the hotel. No room for the ordinary person !!! We have visited this hotel on several occasions on our route to Spain and this was easily our worst visit.

Stayed for one night to break up journey between Cherbourg and Dordogne. Great location for this, just off the motorway. Nice communal areas. Breakfast was ok - a bit limited in choice. Room was comfortable - our only complaint is that the doors opened onto a small balcony which overlooked a flat roof with the ventilation unit from the kitchen on it - which was noisy and pumping out cooking smells - so we had to keep the doors closed, despite the warm weather.

Un très bon accueil, un établissement propre et bien tenu (j'avais déjà pu le constater l'année précédente) avec un seul bémol; le bruit des canalisations et un wifi non sécurisé par mot de passe donc inutilisable. The room allotted to us was not what we needed. We requested a room with a shower and easy access for my husband who is disabled. The room we were eventually given was very small, so much so that the right hand side of the bed was inaccessible, the bathroom was extremely small and poorly lit, it was also too far from the lift. We walked out and found a hotel nearby which was cheaper, of far superior quality and perfect for our needs (walk in shower, high bed, plenty of space). Within 10 minutes of us leaving the staff took full payment including taxes. What a nerve!

I didn’t have a great experience. The room was okayish, but not spot on. The food was not good. My octopus was half burnt, the children’s burger was still breathing and my husbands burger was cooked too long. At check-out at the desk they let me pay the stay again even though I already paid on Expedia. I’m still waiting for accounting to refund the money. All in all an awful experience… I wouldn’t recommend staying there.

Turned up at the hotel after a long journey and was met by a lovely lady on reception (Kate, I think). She checked us in and booked a table for dinner for us. No hassle at all. Room was great and very quiet, they are also very good with dogs. Dinner was really good as was breakfast. We will be staying again, in fact I am going to book again for our return journey back to the UK.

El lugar muy bien, veníamos de un viaje muy largo y con mucha hambre, y la chica de la recepción hablaba largamente por teléfono y nos ignoraba. La interrumpí y le dije que íbamos a cenar y que después haríamos el check in, ya que el restaurante del hotel estaba cerrado. La experiencia de la recepción y el hecho que el restaurante estuviese cerrado en cierto modo arruino toda la experiencia, ya que en vez de llegar y podernos relajar, tuvimos que salir rápidamente a buscar donde nos pudiesen servir la cena casi a las 9 de la noche.

I have stayed there on my way to and fro from my house in Carcassonne for the last 4 years at least a couple of times a year. I think the standard has decreased in this time. Also, it was very disappointing that the restaurant is not open on a Sunday. For a hotel to offer zero food seems unreasonable. Especially as most people are breaking long journeys and don't wish to get back in the car to go in search of a meal and find somewhere open. The places recommended by the concierge were both closed.
