Hotel Torre Barbara

The driveway was tricky to get in and out of but not the fault of the hotel that seems to be everywhere in that part of Italy small roads and small driveways if you rent a car make sure they don’t upgrade you to a larger one keep the small one. The view was absolutely beautiful the service by everyone in the restaurant was incredible the breakfast was perfect! Not a single complaint the food was delicious the coffee was excellent and he was perfect!

Terrific views of Vesuvius and the bay of Naples. Great shuttle bus service to and from local places. Restaurant terrace and food offer was very good. Lovely staff!

Great view of Mt Vesuvius, convenient transportation to Pompeii (EAV bus train) with direct Curreri bus to Naples airport. Beautiful pool with great view. Free shuttle to/from Seiano Beach & Vico Equense train station starting 8am. Important to arrange transpo arrival/departure with Torre Barbara

Although not the easiest to access from the roadway once you did parking was available so convenient for anyone that was driving. The hotel is lovely with possibly the best staff of anywhere we stayed in Italy. They bent over backwards to help out with whatever we needed. We absolutely would stay there again and recommend it to others. Shoutout to Sara & Mirella at reception and Maria in the dining room. They were awesome.

We loved our stay here- the property was gorgeous, clean and had a beautiful restaurant with an unbeatable view and well as a pool a shuttle to areas nearby. The staff was incredibly kind and accommodating. Our only downsides were that the AC didn’t seem to work in our room and the wifi was hit or miss. Both issues were not super problematic considering it was cool enough to open the window in the nighttime and we otherwise weren’t in our room very often. Easily one of my favorite stays so far! The shuttle was incredible helpful, but do note that outside of the scheduled times it can be difficult to get to and from Sorrento as well as Vico Equense as other public transportation is not as reliable.

This was by far our favourite hotel on our trip! It was clean, quiet, and easy to locate. We cannot say enough positive things about the staff; they were extremely kind and welcoming right from the start! They knew who we were by day one and would greet us each morning at the front desk and breakfast buffet, they knew our coffee order and always had a table set ready for us! The pool was also lovely and had plenty of comfy sun loungers to enjoy a beautiful view of the sea and sunset. We can’t wait to return in the future!

Beautiful hotel with lovely, friendly and extremely helpful members of staff. View from the hotel was amazing! Our room was modern and clean and the breakfast was fantastic. Lovely garden area and pool which was good for relaxing days, in between sightseeing. Only slight issue was hotel is about 20mins to walk to nearest train station, Seiano and is on a very busy road which doesn’t have a pavement in some parts so feels a bit dangerous. There was a free shuttle bus to Vico Equense station but not as frequent as we would have liked so we resorted to walking every day. Taxis are about 25 euros from Vico station so we only did this once.

Einziges Manko: Stark befahrene Straße Richtung Sorrento direkt vor dem Haus. Cet Hôtel, un COUP DE CŒUR !! Le service du personnel était IMPECCABLE. Attentionné, courtois, disponible. La chambre était exceptionnelle. Nous avions une chambre sur 2 étages avec vue sur la côte et le Vésuve. Une vue incroyable !!! Il est facilement possible de réserver des activités auprès de l’hôtel. Nous avons réservé pour Capri et l’excursion (la compagnie) était parfaite. Stationnement accessible si vous avez une voiture. Seulement l’entrée/sortie à 180 degré qui est un petit défi !! Piscine avec la superbe vue. A 15 minutes en voiture de Sorrento, à peine 1h de Amalfi. Nous recommandons fortement cet hôtel et les remercions pour l’agréable séjour de 5 nuits que nous y avons passé!!

Very clean and quite

We loved our stay here. Our room was quite spacious, the pool was amazing considering how hot it was. Very happy to have had AC and the meal at the restaurant overlooking the coast was amazing! The staff is also very friendly. Breakfast had a huge choice and everything was very fresh. Nice to have a place to park as well. Highly recommend.

We stayed at this beautiful hotel. The staff had informed us of a coach company to book for our transfers prior to our stay. We arrive and the reception staff were amazing. They were friendly, professional and helped us navigate to local areas. The room was compact, but was very clean. Every day our beds were made and our pyjamas were folded. The restaurant staff were amazing, maria was fantastic. They welcomed us and made us feel really special. The food selection was amazing and the food was gorgeous, compliments to the chef. I would like to express my thanks for making our holiday an amazing experience.

We had an amazing week at this hotel, the staff go above and beyond and are so helpful & friendly. We loved having breakfast on their beautiful terrace & served the best cappuccino ever overlooking the ocean with an amazing view of mount Vesuvius. We upgraded to a room (402) with a private balcony which was perfect to sit on with a drink overlooking the breathtaking view. Rooms were spotless & clean and perfect size. Admittedly, there is a bit of travelling back and forth to Sorrento but well worth being out of the hustle & bustle and taking advantage of the shuttle bus to get to the beach & train station for onward ventures. First trip to Italy but will definitely be back! ps A net at the pool would be helpful to remove any rouge bugs which gather.

Clean room Great staff

Hôtel avec une belle vue sur la mer, un personnel souriant et serviable mais l’infrastructure de l’hôtel n’est pas celle d’un 4*. Problèmes d’insonorisation, odeur d’égout dans la salle de douche, literie à améliorer, petit déjeuner minimaliste.

Hotel is old and dated. Terrible smells from sewers in the room. Staff were polite. Very basic.

Pros: - Felt looked after by the restaurant manager at breakfast and dinner. Complimentary breakfast buffet did the job. - Air conditioning was great, room was kept cool during the hot summer temperatures. - The nearby town of Vico Equense was lovely and a great place to stop off before getting the train into Sorrento / Pompeii. - Amazing views over towards Mount Vesuvius - both from the room and the restaurant area. Cons: - The Wi-fi in our room (202) was dreadful. It kept dropping in and out and rarely got above two bars of signal. I found myself having to sit in the reception to download shows if we wanted to watch something in bed or on the bus/train/ferry. - Some of the bed sheets were marked and the bathroom fixtures were a little moldy. - The pool isn't much of a pool per say, merely a box of water to stand in which quickly collects drowned insects. - There is a free shuttle bus available (which would normally be a pro), however it does not look like the vehicle shown on the hotel's website and the driver does not announce he has arrived to those waiting at the pickup points. We later found out that it serves multiple hotels in the area. It came and went the first time we wanted to catch it, leaving us to use a much longer and less comfortable local bus back to the hotel.

The view from the property was good but it was in the area where there was limited transportation to and from hotel, there were hotel shuttles but the times were limited. The ac on the upstairs of the room was broken in the middle of the summer only the downstairs ac was working, it had a nice pool and restaurant with nice view

The staff were absolutely wonderful! So very friendly!! Also had the best shower we had in 3 1/2 weeks of traveling! We would definitely recommend this hotel! We were on the 4th floor and had a huge terrace with an amazing view! They also had an elevator which was also the first we had in Italy!

This hotel has the most beautiful view imaginable. The staff was very friendly and helpful, and the breakfast was delicious. The beds are not the most comfortable things we've ever slept on, but all of the other advantages by far outweighed this issue. We would definitely stay there again.

The hotel is next to a major road, and the cars passing by are very noisy. The sea room view only had a very small window in the room. You can hear people speaking in adjacent rooms. The staff were really lovely and accommodating, and the view is truly beautiful. It is a shame that it is so noisy, and that the room was unsatisfactory.

We had a sea view room that included a large terrace that is shared with the room next door. The only negative is that the hotel is located just above the main road from Vico Equense to Sorrento so you do have traffic noise with the terrace and balcony doors open and with those incredible views you will have them open. Breakfast was great too.

The hotel is gorgeous and the staff were amazing. There is free shuttle service to the train station, downtown, and marina. The breakfast is out of this world with freshly pulled espressos or any coffees you want, there are chef created pastries and tarts as well as traditional breakfast foods. I highly recommend the location. The scenery is beautiful and the town is not too crowded. Once again the staff are amazing at reception, cleaners, and everyone in the restaurant. AA

Stay was horrible, personnel ( ladies at the front desk) were rude and condescending.F desk ladies called our room to ask why I had left negative comments on the Hotel.com app after check in.Shuttle is either late or way too early, even when we called to schedule it 30 min before each time. Check-in was supposed to be at 2pm but lady at front desk argued that I was wrong. After waiting until 2:30 beds were not made, as I had requested 2 separate beds for me and my friend ahead of my stay. Internet is a hit or miss on the 1st floor rooms, of course rooms on the 1st floor do not have a view. I left 2 days ahead of my booking and didn’t even ask for a refund, I just wanted to leave. Did not feel welcomed or safe at the hotel, specially after the front desk called my room or every time I walked around they pointed at me ( I fully understand Italian). When talked to the front desk to express my concerns the lady said it was probably me because the other guests/reviews were happy/positive.Female server at the breakfast area yelled at me asking for my room #, but my friend and other guests were never asked for their room number. No one apologized or asked why we left ahead of time( 2 full nights). I have to recognize that I forgot a poster at the hotel and they were kind enough to mail it to the US, also offered a free taxi ride when the hotel shuttle did not show up and I needed to get to the train station for a tour.Those were nice gestures, still they kept 2 full nights.

This was one of our longer stays on our 2 week trip to Italy, and the service was incredible. Clean, great breakfast, good location and incredible views from the terrance. All of the staff were so kind, welcoming, and helpful. One of the staff members stood out the most to us, and Of course I never got her name but her English is very clear and she's just the sweetest. She helped us with so much. I would recommend this hotel to anyone. Rent a Vespa, you won't regret it! Taxis are expensive!!

Great stay fantastic hotel with magnificent views,but what really makes this hotel special is the staff,quite simply brilliant, friendly helpful and they all go above and beyond to make your stay special.Which really makes this hotel extra special. Special mention to Pietro on reception for helping us out on our late arrival after a very troublesome journey. Aabsolutely gorgeous hotel with great staff. The hotel had free shuttle to the town nearby and it was very convenient and also the views from our room was spectacular. we received VIP service from the lady who checked us in, the gentleman that helped us with our six bags, the lady in the breakfast room every day with a great smile and the gentlemen serving the dinner. You will absolutely enjoy this hotel because it's imperfect location, you can take day trips from here to Capri from Sorrento's port and also take day trips to Amalfi coast and Positano and come back to this relaxing hotel .

Very special little place with excellent service (rooms and bar/food). Our private terrace looking out at Vesuvius was a highlight of our trip. The pool is lovely and perfect to relax between tours. All of the staff were kind and attentive. They greeted us by our names when they saw us at the pool and dining. Only regret is not staying longer!!

Très bel hôtel dans l'ensemble mais localisation assez excentrée et donnant sur route très passagère et bruyante jour comme nuit. Peut être revoir l'insonorisation des chambres pour que l'endroit soit parfait. Mention toute particulière pour le personnel très chaleureux, accueillant et bienveillant qui apporte énormément à l'établissement.

The property is quite small but that's its charm. The staff are so fiendly and very helpful, they almost become good friends. The rooms are clean and nicley decorated. There is a beautiful restaurant with delicious food and it has a stunning view from the balcony. It's hard to be negative but there are a couple if your being picky. The hotel is situated on the main road so can be a bit noisy. It's located a few miles from the town but there is a shuttle bus that runs you back and forth. Overall we loved our stay here and would come back in a heartbeat.

The view of the Bay of Naples & Mt. Vesuvius from my spacious balcony was amazing ! Food and staff were excellent! Although the hotel had a shuttle, the times for use were limited. We had to often hire a taxis at 25euro 1 way to the town of Vico Equense for dining, shopping & train service. All in all, this hotel was an excellent choice!

Only problem with this hotel is it's location having a sharp turn in and out of car park if you are driving with it being on such a busy road. Everything else is great.

Beautiful setting with a wonderful restaurant. We ate there for breakfast and dinner and both were exceptional. The hotel is convenient to Sorrento, with breathtaking views.

The property is located away from the hustle bustle of the town and offers extraordinary views. that being said, you have to rely on the shuttle service which was convenient and prompt to get to the town or anywhere as walking is not advisable, having the shuttle service is helpful and necessary. The staff is extremely pleasant, personable and helpful.

Fantastic food in hotel restaurant, with great wine list; well-appointed, comfortable room; and excellent service from all members of staff, who are happy to go the extra mile (in one case, quite a few miles, literally, to save the day in his time off).

Brakfast was great. Dinner was good too but a bit slow the service. View from the pool is outstanding My room did not have view but my brothers did and it was breathtaking. Staff is friendly and helpful. Is conveniently located between Naples and Positano. They offer shuttle services and tours that are more affordable. They clean your room every day. I would definitely recommend and would stay again 100%
