Hotel med unik beliggenhed - med fantastisk udsigt fra værelse og pool. Renlighed i top, meget indbydende pool og serviceminded personale. Morgenmad tilstrækkelig uden det lille ekstra. Køb ved pool - panini og aperol sprits ikke pengene værd. Drikkevare udvalg fint, men vælg simple ting. God parkering. Har du egen bil er afstand til Sorrento og nabobyer intet problem - uden egen bil nok besværligt.

Great hotel if you have a car and you're on vacation. Breathtaking views from your room and patios. Good parking area and overall nice. Not so good if you don't have a car and need internet for work. No internet in the rooms, only in lobby. And no food options (they didn't even order food for us to take to our room). Its walkable to a train station in the city of Meta, but beware the walk back is steep uphill and for the most part you have to literally walk on the highway (not a city block walk). The staff are kind of accomodating, depends on who you talk to.

Hotel Mega Mare is located BEAUTIFULLY right off the main road up the Amalfi Coast. The building itself is beautiful with clearly a lot of history behind it. Hand painted tile floors & opulent wood details. So pretty ♥️ If you were planning on using the Internet a lot on your trip, keep in mind that we were never able to get WiFi to work in our room - Only in the bar and just a little bit of service out on the balcony. We were a little confused by the rules saying that we weren't allowed to eat or drink in our room, but there was a fully stocked mini bar?? Kind of felt like they were just trying to get us to buy their refreshments. The beds were fairly comfortable. The hot water did run out before my husband and I could both take showers. Overall, it was a great place to land after a day exploring the town but I wouldn't exactly recommend staying longer than a couple of days.

Og der er ingen hynder på liggestolene. - Den ene tjener virkede som om han konstant var mega fuld. - Sengen er ekstrem hård. - Hotellet slukker for A/C i løbet af natten, og dagen. Så hotellet er måske lidt billigere, og har lidt bedre udsigt, men spar en masse bøvl og find et hotel i Sorrento istedet.

The views from this hotel are incredible! We got to watch the most beautiful sunset from our balcony every night! The rooms were very spacious and kept very clean. The pool was lovely, again with amazing views however there are few umbrellas so if you’re looking for some shade whilst sunbathing you need to be the first one at the pool. Although, don’t rush to get up early as the pool doesn’t open until 11:15. The hotel had free parking and although there isn’t much near the hotel it is only a 15 minute drive into the main area in sorrento where you can shop, get food and get the ferry/boat to capri and Amalfi. The breakfast was lacking a bit but I would defiantly recommend this hotel as everything else was incredible!

Really enjoyed the amazing view! The pool and each room had their own balcony view over looking the sea and Sorento. 20 min drive to Sorento. Had that old time hotel charm to the place. Pool opens a little late (11:15 am) and not all chairs have umbrellas. It is open an hour later than most pools in the area till 7 pm.

Perfect spot if you're only staying in the hotel to relax because everything is far away. The staff in the dinning area are not too friendly. Car is a must as everything is far and concierge is not helpful with calling a taxi. The hotel and views are amazing. Too many restrictions in the dinning and pool hours.

Great hotel, view was absolutely stunning and the pool was great. However, the customer service was not friendly, so many restrictions and management doesn’t want to give out more then two towels. But overall our stay was great, just recommend customer service be better.

We loved our view! The hotel itself has a few odd rules the pool has very limited hours and the times you’d love to be in there it is closed, like sunset for example, no food or drinking in your room, you have to leave your room key there when you leave and no extra towels ect, ect... We loved our time in Sorrento regardless, but it’s nice to know what to expect!

The views were impeccable, but the room was not clean. I found a set of false lashes in the bathroom and there was blonde hair on the floor…

First, the positives. The location and therefore the view over the bay of Sorrento was breathtakingly perfect. The view extended to restaurant, the room and the terrace area. Unfortunately, this does not detract from the shockingly abysmal level of service from the staff, in particular the manager, whose attitude was the worst I have ever witnessed in any hotel. He seemed to have the attitude that because his hotel had such breathtaking views, that he didn't need to try to please his guests, he didn't even need to be polite to them. I found him to be arrogant, obnoxious, ignorant and rude. My first impression was when I arrived at the hotel, and the manager was engaged in a conversation on the phone with who I presumed was another customer, and had that have been the case, I would have understood having to wait for the call to finish before receiving the manager's attention but it turned out it was just a chit chat with a friend. I still had to wait for the manager to finish this conversation with his friend whilst I stood ignored in the reception for what seemed like an eternity. There were many other examples of this individual's obnoxious attitude but I'm limited to the number of words I can post and I feel that I should also mention something about the cleanliness of the room. I mean having insects crawling across your floor doesn't instil me with the confidence that an appropriate level of confidence is upheld. All in all, I would not recommend this hotel.

Clean and lovely room with a balcony with a sea view ... very beautiful. Great staff and service. A bar with snacks, and excellent service here!

Our experience at Hotel Mega Mare was far from enjoyable. From the moment we arrived, the room smelled strongly of cigarettes, which made it uncomfortable to relax. Most of the staff were rude and unaccommodating throughout our stay. Every morning, we were called and woken up so they could clean the room — not exactly the hospitality you’d expect on vacation. On one occasion, because we didn’t leave early enough, we were told at 14:15 that cleaning services were finished for the day and our room would not be cleaned at all after receiving 2 prior calls to leave. Late one night, while talking in normal voices, we were told the next day that we needed to keep our voices down at night — even though we weren’t being loud. On top of that, around 2:00 a.m., someone was calling and knocking on our door, but we didn’t answer because we were alone and there was no peephole to see who it was. It was unsettling and made us feel unsafe. The on-site food options were extremely limited, and to make matters worse, you’re not allowed to bring in outside food or eat in your room, which was very inconvenient. Also, if you plan to stay here, make sure you rent a car. The location is quite isolated, and a cab into Sorrento costs about €50 one way. Overall, between the rude service, strange rules, lack of flexibility, safety concerns, and poor location, I would not recommend staying at Hotel Mega Mare.

As everyone else says, great views. Hotel is clean, sheets and towels etc changed daily. The views from near the top of the cliffs come with a price though. The location. If you don't have a car or scooter (which I definitely recommend getting in this area). You are faced with a 25 minute walk down the hill to the nearest town. And the road is always busy, and the path not the best. Taxis in the area are extortionate as well. The location meant we just used the hotel as a base to sleep and have breakfast, so we did not go back during the day. So we never used the pool or other facilities. Talking of breakfast, it's one of the most basic I've encountered. Croissants, rolls, ham, cheese, some cereal, yoghurt, hard boiled eggs and a few dry pastries/biscuits. The coffee is also made with long life milk which gives it a strange taste. Upgrading this would be an easy win for the hotel. The staff were friendly enough, but we never really needed anything from them so didn't have too much interaction. Also no WiFi to speak of and my mobile connection was patchy at best. So if this is important to you I'd give the place a miss. Overall it's a nice hotel that could be improved a lot by a couple of easy upgrades. If you have transport or don't mind paying for taxis then the views of the area are definitely worth it

Det enda positiva med hotellet är nog utsikten. Men för att komma upp till hotellet behöver man i regel traska ca 30/40 minuter uppför en lång bergsväg längst med den italienska trafiken. Mangern på hotellet är otroligt otrevlig, både mot gäster och sina anställda. De anställda är dock väldigt trevliga och hjälpsamma. Utöver detta hittade vi hårstrån i sängen när vi först checkade in, och hotellet tillåter ingen som helst konsumtion av mat på rummet. Detta trots närmsta restaurang är ca 1 timme bort, då hotellet inte själv tillhandahåller matservering.

Beautiful vistas from the rooms. Staff very friendly and helpful. Very clean facilities but a limited food menu. However , what was on the menu was always enjoyable 😊

Arrived and were welcomed by a lovely, truly Italian signore! The hotel was excellent, with the best panoramic view over the Sorrento coast. The staff were super friendly, everything was very clean, ( cleaning room and changing towels every day !) , enjoyed our breakfast and we truly felt at home. Loved the swimming pool – definitely my favourite part. Thank you

The hotel has an AMAZING and beautiful view of the coast, staff is very friendly and helpful, the pool is incredibly clean. The breakfast is limited and rooms are small but comfortable. All rooms have a balcony with ocean view so you can’t go wrong. Very quiet and parking is available above the property if you drive.

DO NOT stay here if you don’t have a car or vespa. The hotel is in the middle of nowhere. Taxis do not want to take you there. The owner is a communist. You have to leave the room key before leaving. That’s ridiculous. They turned off the AC when you are not there and sometimes they forget to turn it back on when you come back. As a consequence the room is a sauna when you enter. Overall this has been my worst experience ever.

Ein Hotel mit atemberaubender Aussicht. Möbel etwas in die Jahre gekommen, aber der Amalfi Flair sehr gut spürbar. Einziges Manko war das warme Wasser. Der Wasserstrahl ist so klein, dass man viel zu lange warten muss, um nass zu werden. Alles in allem dennoch schönes Hotel

Personal is rude. Walls are made of paper, can hear everything your neighbors are talking about. Overall dated hotel. Views are amazing though.

Camera con vista mozzafiato, l’hotel è in una posizione strategica per visitare la costiera Sorrentina. L’unica pecca sono i materassi un po’ troppo duri e il matrimoniale con due singoli uniti. Buon rapporto qualità prezzo.

Tolle Aussicht aus den Zimmern, Hotel sehr altbacken, allerdings sehr sauber. Frühstück sehr einfach aber okay. Mietwagen bzw eigener PKW ist zwingend empfehlenswert, da man sonst nur schwer wegkommt (Hauptstraße hat kein Bürgersteig).

We had Room 308, juste next to the breakfast Room and under the reception hall. So a lot of noise not able to sleep before midnight. Also, loud music from the beach club.

The view was amazing, however, very odd rules to follow. Every time you left your room you had to return your key to the receptionist at which time they turned OFF the air conditioning. Upon return and retrieval of key it was turned back on. Which on very hot days made it quite uncomfortable. No outside food is allowed. No real dinner option available either. Dated decor. Tiny shower.

The location is isolated. It is difficult and expensive to get in and out. There is nothing around it for food options. If you want sometime away from the town its a pretty location. But the owner/manager is impatient and not very pleasant to help. He smokes in the lobby which is upsetting. They advertise their beautiful pool and say they offer wifi. But read the fine print. The pool is only open during the summer and the wifi is only available in the smoky lobby, not in the rooms. We chose it for the cheaper option, but it was not worth it.

Staff and foreign guests are poorly treated by the director.

Hotel was listed as being near public transport but it is not - without a car it is as the hotel staff repeatedly said IMPOSSIBLE- They were rude about calling on our behalf for taxi and though they rented car right at their location never suggested we rent one in our 3 night stay. One day when I asked for taxi to arrive by 7:30 and was given a 7:15 pick up confirmation and questioned how possible I was answered by a yelling of traffic - I responded by saying exactly why I didn’t think enough time was being given only to be yelled at again that I needed to be clear about what I expected. I did not like staff treatment of guests at all - if it weren’t for the beautiful view from room and hotel pool it would have been the worst choice of stay - if you can find hotel with a view choose it over this one if you like being treated like a guest and not an inconvenience.

La persona que estaba en recepción que debe ser el dueño muy mal educado cuando llegamos. El wifi no llega a las habitaciones que están en la segunda planta y te desconectan el AA cuando te vas de la habitacion, tambien por la noche hace mucha calor y te lo paran desde recepción. Lo único son las vistas que tiene el hotel y la piscina. El.resto del personal del Hotel es muy amable.

The Hotel was nice and clean, the area is totally inconvenient to far away from everything. The person in front desk I don’t know his name was super rude. In this hotel it seems that they want to be in control of everything. Sheriff the person in charge of snacks outside was really nice. Horrible place to stay!!!!!

The views are unforgettable here at Mega Mare. Our stay was the first of many to come. The staff made us feel like we were home and attended to all of our needs. This place allowed us to embrace the true Italian essence. Even in rainy weather, we were able to enjoy Italy while staying here! Thanks for a wonderful experience. Cheers!

This is a hotel with a million dollar view. We had a room with sea view. Balcony was perfect to sit and enjoy the view of the city and the sea. Room was clean and housekeeping was prompt. Owner was very nice. Highly recommend this hotel. Just a few tips for future travelers. -Hotel sits on a cliff and about 15 minutes away to the city center. Taxi costs about €55 one way so a car is a must as there’s no public transportation. -Towels are made out of thin fabric. Bring your own bath towel. -Breakfast is light. A bit disappointing there was no items like tomatoes or cucumbers or any other healthy options. They offered cookies kind of items, croissants, boiled eggs and a couple of meat items. Service was good and staff was friendly. -There’s weak internet in the room. Best signal is in the lobby area.

The hotel itself is fine, carved into the rock with nice balconies with gorgeous views in each room. @2.25 km from town of Meta high on the coast with NO WAY to get into town unless you have a car. We walked into town very dangerous on extremely narrow sidewalk on only one side of busy road downhill almost works but uphill is an athletic climb. So we left after first night

Localização com uma paisagem maravilhosa, mas não tem nada mais por perto. Qualquer coisa q precise tem q ir até a cidade de Sorrento. Não tem ponto de ônibus ou trem nas proximidades

Rommene kunne gjerne hatt vannkoker, eller tea/kaffe tilgang på kveld. Respsjonenen var lite service-innstilt. Ingen offentlig kommunikasjon forbi hotellet, men ellers flott beliggenhet.

Hotel was well kept and staff were helpful and friendly. Pool area was great and the hotel has a decent selection of food for breakfast. Only downsides are that it only offers breakfast and walking anywhere from the property can be a hassle as it’s quite isolated on the hillside. The road is also busy and quite dangerous to walk along. The views you get from the location are amazing though and if you have a car or are willing to taxi back and forth, there are quite a few restaurants and shops within a few kilometres.

Breakfast was very poor, no restaurant , no bar, the owner was rude. The location was ok as you get a nice view from there, but that’s it really. You have a few things in the mini bar in the room, but they cost a fortune so better to get something from the shop. The check in is very late. We arrived quite early there so we had to wait a while. The rooms are clean, but old and very noisy. Our room was positioned right next to the breakfast area. Sorry, but not really reccommend it. The only nice person there was a young man from the reception…

Firstly let me just say that the views from this hotel are simply breathtaking. It’s the sole reason I booked this hotel and it lived up to all expectations. Unfortunately that is probably where the positives end. I would say that the location isn’t great, there is no public transport so I would only book if you have rented a car. The breakfast is very basic, you even have to pay extra for coffee or tea, and there is no dinner services here, again a problem if you haven’t rented a car. The rooms are basic and outdated but you probably won’t care if you have that sea view. The real issue here is the owner and staff. The staff are just downright rude and disrespectful. They made no effort to help us with transport queries or booking a taxi, they were generally dismissive with any of our questions, they hurried us to checkout even though we still had another 20 minutes, they told us to keep the noise down even though we were just talking on our balcony, and upon leaving, the owner wanted us to pay him in cash rather than card. The owner must be one of the most miserable people I have ever met, which probably effects how the rest of the staff act and behave. Would I stay here again? Maybe for the view but I’d certainly manage my expectations with the level of customer service.

We really liked staying at this hotel , despite it being far from everything the hotel offered us an amazing taxi service. The view was out of this world , quiet , peaceful, and sitting on the balcony and swimming in the pool felt like a dream . Breakfast was basic but very tasty , no restaurant on site but hotel does very tasty paninis. If you are coming to this hotel please go to sorrento you will not regret it ! Overall , loved it and would stay again .

The things I liked about this hotel were the swimming pool and the room’s balcony with a very nice view. Unfortunately, the hotel is not well connected by bus or train. Another strange thing was the hotel reception (or maybe the owner?). When we asked for hot water or other facilities, they behaved very rudely and even shouted that we shouldn’t use anything in our room or eat fruit! The breakfast was very simple, and there were no vegetables. You also couldn’t take coffee or tea yourself. When my husband, who usually drinks 2–3 cups of coffee, asked for more, they said: “How many coffees do you take?!” — which I found very rude. I will never go back there, and I absolutely do not recommend this hotel.

They turn of the aircon so many times even in the night, i presume to safe money. Anoying in a extreme way. No restaurant at the hotel but nearby. Breakfast realy bad but italien breakfast usely is. Wievs amazing

Så hotellet er måske lidt billigere, og har lidt bedre udsigt, men spar en masse bøvl og find et hotel i Sorrento istedet.

Pros: amazing views, great breakfast staff, clean rooms, free parking. Cons: pool closed, common areas closed ( except small lobby), restaurant closed ( except for continent breakfast). Nearest place to eat 20 minutes by car in Sorrento. Summary: Desk staff informed us restaurant was closed and admonished us for bringing food back for dinner and sitting outside to eat, because they opened the restaurant that day and had two items on the menu, a sandwich panini and a hot dog. They told us to go eat in our room. Afterward, Mariano, manager was somewhat apologetic and gave us a wine bottle as we left the hotel after a five day stay.

Vista spettacolare, l'hotel è molto carino, la nostra camera era purtroppo vecchia.,la colazione da rivedere totalmente. Molto simpatico il direttore bravo anche l' addetto al ricevimento. Nel complesso la struttura con piccoli accorgimenti potrebbe sicuramente migliorare.

We loved our view! The hotel itself has a few odd rules the pool has very limited hours and the times you’d love to be in there it is closed, like sunset for example, no food or drinking in your room, you have to leave your room key there when you leave and no extra towels ect, ect... We loved our time in Sorrento regardless, but it’s nice to know what to expect!
