The staff was not nice when I called asking how we can get into our room since we were arriving late and the check in document said the doors locked and we would have to coordinate our arrival which was different than what they told us over the phone. The hotel said they had continental breakfast and all there was was yogurt, granola bar, and milk. The pillows were hard as a rock. The hotel bar said it’s hours were until midnight Friday and Saturday and we got back from snowmobiling at 10pm wanting to hangout at the bar hotel and they told us they were told they had to close. We will not be staying there again.

Free use of paddle boards, kayaks and canoe! Lovely walking trails in Lucius woods just off the ATV trail a block from the Inn! Amazing little gift shop with yarn, fabric, lovely gifts with fantastic home baked treats in the coffe shop portion of the store.

Older facilities, pool and hut tub very old. Room was outdated. Creaky floors. Breakfast was very minimal, no juice, olny coffee and water. Very disappointing as i booked this due to the high rating on Hotels.com.

I booked this hotel on a whim for a weekend trip and the Saint Croix Inn was an unexpected surprise. The staff were very welcoming and kind. Megan got us checked in quickly and gave us the low down on the lounge and pool hours. Our room was very clean and comfortable. The inn sits right on the shores of the lake and offers complimentary water toys. There are plenty of spaces to sit and enjoy the view. We loved hanging out on the deck. There is a bar/lounge on site offering a full bar and limited food menu. Again Megan was amazing, she was so personable and took good care of everyone. I’m pretty sure no one went thirsty during our stay. The food and drinks were really good. We loved our stay so much we are already thinking about planning another stay.

So friendly and kid friendly. Floors are a little dirty.... Didn't notice until wet towels turned grey and brown on the floor side. Staff is super kind and sweet!!! Great park nearby with a great playground and fun little stream for kids to explore.

The ladies at the counter really tried to be helpful. We took a little boat at the lake in the morning. The breakfast was ok. We did not expect much and it met our expectations. I felt the floor was not super clean. The room was old. Yet, again it was comfortable for us.

We’ll be back if we need to stay in the area. The hotel is showing its age, our room wasn’t cleaned that well but I didn’t complain (the bed and toilet were clean, that’s the most important to me), The staff (which were friendly when we dealt with them) seemed to be running on a thin crew (like everyone else). We were in the area for a wedding and this hotel was super convenient for that.

Great that it’s right on the lake - beautiful view. Room was remodeled but not completely. Maybe there are plans to finish with new vanities and bathroom mirror ? Parking was convenient. Restaurant and bar onsite which is always a perk but I didn’t use either. Not many people around the hotel but still had Neighbors in next room were VERY loud at night and up at 5:30 am talking loudly again. Guess I would recommend if hotel isn’t full, don’t put guests right next to each other to avoid this.

First stop of a 10 day motorcycle trip, staff was great as we just beat a massive, rain/thunder/hailstorm. Let us leave the cycle under the canopy until the storm blew through. Room was clean and comfortable. Will definitely stay again when in the area!!

Nice, warm pool. Nice rooms. Beautiful view of the river. Staff seemed stressed and over-worked. They acted as if answering simple questions or assisting with simple requests, like taking a food order at the bar and helping us get our tv working, was a major inconvenience. Very crabby and shouldn't take it out on guests.

Nice, clean room. Beautiful lake and area off rear of the property. We thought when we booked we would have a "lake view" but we wound up with a view of the parking lot. TV did not work properly. Clock/alarm on bedside stand did not work. No one at desk when we arrived for check-in but there was a sign directing us to the lounge for check-in. We were only there for one night....I would consider staying again if in the area but remember to ask specifically for a lake-view room and keep in mind the staff only consisted of one person. My biggest turn-off was the number of what appeared to be local friends or family of the Inn employees that were at the property. Very friendly but loud and boisterous.

We’ve been making a 5 hour drive to Duluth frequently and the Saint Croix in is a great place to stay on the way. Less than an hour from Duluth, it is more affordable than lodging in Duluth. I can’t comment on what it is like in summer, but in winter it is very quiet. It is on a quiet, tucked-away street. We had a trailer full of stuff since we’re moving and none of it was touched overnight in the parking lot. They have regular construction workers that stay so we request lakeside for $10 more (the guys op for the less expensive side) and a second floor room and we never hear anyone. The beds are comfortable. The lobby area, bar, and breakfast area are really cozy. My favorite part is that there is no TV in the breakfast area. Most peaceful hotel breakfast ever. Our only complaint is that they no longer offer an IPA in the bar.

Disappointed in the “suite”. Not worth the money we paid for it. The lake view was beautiful. Very few options for meals, had to drive 25-30 for a sit down diner/restaurant. Mostly bar & grills.

This is a very nice, quiet property in a little quiet town. It is right on the lake, we recommend paying extra for the lake side. Lovely view! The room was a nice size with two sinks, one in the bathroom and one in the room. That made it easy to get ready in the morning. Breakfast is continental, but still offered quite a few things like cereal, bagels, yogurt and hard boiled eggs. Staff was friendly. Our only negative would be that some staff stand around talking loudly about other residents in the area. We didn't enjoy that while trying to eat breakfast. We would definitely stay there again if in the area.

Beautiful lake view otherwise unfriendly! Enjoyed the lil' paddle wheel on the lake. However would have rented the one of the pontoons however we were told they had been rented but they say at the dock unused all day!! Beds were comfortable! Breakfast was lacking:((
