I liked the fact that I could bring my dog to an area in the back of building. I loved the nice breakfast that we had a choice of a lot of different things to eat including fresh fruit. The location of places to eat around the area was ideal. Very nice quiet stay at your facility. Thank you.

it was the cheapest rate for the area. facility dirty and very smelly (high seasoned food cooking) pool closed.....just not at all like i had hoped for the price. next time i'll pay the higher rates elswhere

This place was not up to my cleanliness standards. I’m a clean freak. The pool was dirty and not heated as stated in the description. The room had a funky smell and corners of the room and bathroom were overlooked when cleaning. The bathroom had a hole in the wall. The pillows were flat. Could not get comfortable. Also all night I hear doors opening and closing in the hall disrupting my sleep. The breakfast was decent.

We book this room with the idea of rest after long day at Penn state. We find dogs barking, (the hotel allow dogs) we didn't know dogs were allow. people taking and fighting early morning. The room got a electric open panel without door. We paid high fee for the room since is moving day at Penn we regret it and cancel the reservation for family weekend

The hotel was clean. The 2nd floor windows had no screen and the pool was not open. We were looking forward to having a pool day. Website nor hotel.com said the pool was closed. Breakfast was the average morning hotel breakfast with hot and cold items to chose from for your meal. The staff was very friendly and accomidating. The bed are covered with 2 sheets and a thin blanket but no bedspread and lots of pillows. For us check in was difficult but that was due to an issue with hotels.com and not with the hotels itself.

Staff were nice. Refrigerator was dirty, tv went in and out - very disruptive during shows! Went to sit outside but the chairs were covered in bird poop. Pool was not clean, a lot of debris, which was disappointing.

The reason I booked the room was to visit with my son who goes to Penn State and the price was reasonable compared to other hotels in the area. The bed was comfy but the bathroom needed a good cleaning and the shower curtain was moldy, gross

Perfect for our one night stay! Very clean and quiet. There was a restaurant right next door, a gas station and a d.g. If we happened to forget anything. Overall a great experience!

This motel was one of the worst dirt pits every! Hair in the sink and tub. Cobwebs in the corners of the room. Scummy toilet. Dirty floors. Garbage in the elevator. It was a nightmare stay. Almost the Bates motel.

Room was nice but bathroom seemed pretty cheap. Plain white sink, no counter but lots of empty space in there. Looked like a hospital bathroom. Got a weird vibe from the place like they were very cheap. From plain white keys to being handed our keys in a used, worn key sleeve.

It’s adequate and clean and that’s all you need. That said, it badly needs updating. The doors don’t shut easily and I keep leaving it slightly open. Same for the side outside door. The toilet is tiny. The curtains are ripped. The bed was great. It’s also nota quiet place. Lots of road noise and horses hooves :). Bring earplugs if you are a light sleeper.

The property and room were all good but we were out in the first room on the first floor, which was next to the breakfast area and front desk. People were very loud and a relaxing night away ended with me waking up extremely early and not being able to go back to bed because it was so loud. It literally felt as if the people could have been in our room with us.

Check-in, room and hotel was fine. Very spacious room. It’s the smokehouse bar & grill right next door with its loud pounding bass beats all night which kills it for me. My room isn’t even on that side of the hotel, but in the middle and I still felt the constant low frequency thumping. There is no way to even cover that sound with other noises when you just feel it in your body. Also, I then found out It’s open to 2am :(. Other than that, hotel is nice and conveniently next to a Rutters.

The room was not in the best of condition with peeling paint on the walls and ceiling.in the bathroom. Additionally, only thin blanket on bed which wasnt sufficient in a cold climate. Service was good and breakfast was good.

The staff was fine and helpful. However, it was VERY noisy until late into the night with my room being right beside the lobby. The sound dampening between floors was non-existent and I could hear every movement in the room above me. I could hear everything in the lobby, at the front desk, and in the staff room to the point that I could clearly hear and understand conversations. The bathroom was in disrepair. And the curtain rod has been torn down and improperly "repaired".

The sheer curtains were in shreds. When I went out to the front desk to ask about it, they told me they were waiting to put blinds in. They still could have taken the shredded sheers down since they had heavy curtains too. Sheets only on the beds.

The bed in room 103 is in need of replacement. This is the bed near the window. No firmness at all. It felt like I was sleeping on a slightly deflated air mattress.

Our check-in was fine but the next day I received a phone call from the hotel stating that my friend's room was only booked for one night when I had booked two nights. He said he needed that room for another customer. I verified that I booked both rooms for the night but my friend was forced to change rooms. This was upsetting.

Pros: the breakfast waffles and muffins , comfortable bed Cons: $60 charge for early check in , roach found on iron board, old waffle mix out for breakfast (literally brown) , fitness “center” only has 2 machines and they say “for sale”… hotel overcharges. Would not recommend. Better hotels within the area.

Staff was great, simple breakfast in the morning! Super convenient off of 322 and right by a Rutter's. We were there two nights and had some loud guests the second night, but we slept through it. Not much around, so make plans for other ventures (eat, etc., if need be). It works, if you know what I mean.

We were going to a Penn State University Park Admitted Student Orientation and made our hotel reservation later than sooner. Most hotels around the school were either sold out or only had high priced rooms. I was not really familiar with Best Western Hotels or this location. We found this hotel to be a nice basic option for a reasonable price with an acceptable cancellation policy via Hotels.com. The young lady at the front desk was really pleasant and provided two free waters. It was interesting because she came out when you pressed an electronic bell. The room was very clean and looked to have been renovated. The beds were comfortable (very clean white linens) and the bathroom was good. It actually had a fan to get the steam out of the room, which I rarely see in a hotel. It had a newer temperature control and the heat was quiet. The location was fine for us since we arrived late and left early. But I think it was one of those blink and you miss it towns with limited choices for food/entertainment. The pizza place (OIP) down the road had great food and amazing bread. The free breakfast was sufficient and my son really liked the self serve pancake maker and the pancakes he made. It was an easy drive to Penn State in the AM which took around 30 minutes.

We had some problem with the wi fi for a while, but it worked out. Breakfast was delicious, much better than I expected. There were no blankets in our room, and we were very cold during the night. There was a very good Asian restaurant nearby.
