Pool is run down, broken tiles, paving trip hazards. No playground or indoor play room like advertised. Not any shade around pool. Breakfast was good with changing daily options and egg station. Great location both street and beach. Quiet at night no loud music. Large family rooms was great.

Booked this hotel for 2 adults and 2 children. Upon check-in there was a king bed but not the 2 single beds in the family deluxe room we booked.We asked about the beds and we received 4 mattresses stacked that were torn. There were powerpoints not connected to the wall with exposed wires, very unsafe. There were 3 towels for 4 people. There was a saucer and a spoon but no cups. We had to ask 3 times for the towel and cups. The pools had areas of green slime and smelled. On the plus side, the location is great. Opposite the beach and close to everything. The staff were all very friendly. The hotel needs a major upgrade.We booked for 4 nights but left after 2. We are usually very easy going but it was just too unsafe for our 7 and 3 year old girls.

Toilets blocked, no hot water in some rooms. Swimming pools dirty. No decent coffee, ie cappuccino. Bad lighting in rooms, TV service needs upgrading. No bacon or baked beans at breakfast. Not enough lounges around pool. Pool steps broken and sharp metal pieces protruding from beneath water where steps have broken away. Very dangerous

The property hads deteriorated extremely....it has 3 pools and the 2 main ones were not safe to swim in for 2 weeks....the water was green. Paid for breakfast but had to eat out....food was slop....dining room deserted at night...guests go elsewhere.

Happy with our room that we ended up in and paying additional for. But booked 6mths earlier and had to wait over an hour to get our room at 1am in the morning. Pools badly need maintenance

I paid for an early check in at 9am for 3 rooms . We received the keys for the rooms at 12pm only to have 2 of the rooms not cleaned yet and still in the dirty condition from previous guests . The rooms were not ready until after 2pm and they still tried to charge me for early check in The bathrooms had mould all around the showers and the toilets were broken and needed someone to fix them every day Their is no spa / massage facilities at the hotel like stated in the name or the description The buffet breakfast is extremely limited nobody wants salad and garlic bread for breakfast You can not exchange money at the hotel you can only do it out on the street Was charged $4.80 for ice Over all thought I was getting a nice relaxing holiday were I would not have to leave the hotel as everything would be there but spent very little time relaxing there at all Would not recommend this place at all save you money and go elsewhere

Very run down, dirty. Rooms are mostly, bathrooms rusty and mould. Water either running cold or extremely boiling hot. Phone in room not connected. No pool towels or bath towels, when you get them, they are damp and smelly. Would not recommend staying here!!!! Better places to stay nearby for the same price!!

We didn’t use any of the facilities. The cleanliness of the room was disgusting. Mould in the bathroom. Dirty tissues behind the bed. Stains on the mattress & pillows. Rubbish in the garden around our room. Checked out after the 1st night.

Other reviews I read about the uncleanliness were absolutely spot on The rooms were shockingly filthy The breakfast was good with lots of choice Staff friendly although extremely difficult to have something fixed Air con dripped pools of water at the entrance and entering room was a challenge not to slip over Didn’t get fixed after two requests So we turned it off for the duration of our stay Cleaner forgot towels on two occasions and repeatedly asked for them We won’t be staying again

I made two bookings. One for friends and one for ourselves. Our room was supposed to be Deluxe and was a disgrace. Neither the shower in the bath or the stand alone shower had hot water even after running it for 25 minutes. Shower heads were broken so would have been unusable anyway. Toilet seat was falling off and bathroom in total state of decay and lack of cleaning or maintenance. Bedding stunk like old sweat and looked like the sheets weren’t clean. We were downgraded the next day to a Superior room where we had hot water in the bath shower but the stand alone shower head was unusable due to being old and corroded. Toilet wouldn’t flush properly so we made do using a bucket. The whole bathroom was a disgrace and had to prise up the plug to empty the vanity sink. Bedding smelt like dirty tea towels even after a linen change so I resorted to taking them to local laundry bi daily to be cleaned. Blanket was dirty. Bought our own pillows and protectors as the supplied ones were stained and one had mould. Declined daily cleaning in the end as they were in land out in 5 mins and floors were never mopped. Bought cleaning supplies and cleaned myself. The staff were generally nice but seemed very defeated so I’m guessing it’s a management issue that the resort is so unkempt and filthy. We have been to Bali close to 30 times staying in various classes of hotel and this was the worst we’ve ever encountered. Couldn’t move hotels as no refund available.

Loved the location and Balinese style but in urgent need of basic maintenance and upkeep. Cleaning poor with even the light and power points blackened. Power points and other hanging off the walls with exposed wiring causing me at least one electric shock.

Room was big, however the bathroom had mould, shower nozzle not working properly no shower screen so water was everywhere, shower water had salty taste. No towels for a whole day after calling 4 times I had to go to reception to ask personally again. Pool was filthy tiles dirty, no water to clean teeth, power points not working had to charge my phone in the restaurant. Wifi was intermittent. I was supposed to have a superior room and would hate to see the standard room, on the upside staff friendly and the food in restaurant was nice. I will never stay there again.

The property is an absolute disgrace!!!!! It is tired, filthy and so unkept. NOTHING at all like the pictures. Sheets are brown, towels are brown. Cob webs swinging from the ceiling that is covered in mould. bathrooms are absolutely filthy. The pool has a nice ring of scum around the tiles. The breakfast is just so poor its not funny. Please your options and as you get what you have payed for!!!!!!!!

Unfortunately our room wasn't very clean on arrival, had trouble with the TV, fridge and the water pressure in the shower was terrible. Would be good if the bathrooms were updated in every area of the resort. I found the cleaning staff very kind and always helpful.

The room I booked wasn’t the one we ended up with aircon not working shower only trickling in water and it smelt musky. It was a standard room which I never book. I had to pay the upgrade of $90 which I wasn’t happy about. I will not be staying there again.

For the price it was a fantastic location and the staff were lovely. The hotel itself is now quite old and rundown and needs work done. There was only one powerpoint in the room which didn't work so not ideal for charging phones etc, the wifi didn't work in the room so you had to sit outside, again not ideal in the humidity, on two of the four days there was no towel available for us to use at the pool. Things like this could be addressed easily andmake the stay ever better.

The Melasti Beach Resort & Spa is a great hotel to stay at considering the price per night. Inside the room 110 is quite large and spacious. Living room with separate bedroom and bathroom with 1 shower and 1 bathtub/shower. The property grounds are immaculate and clean. The only negative thing I can say is about the bathroom. The water does not drain well in the sink or either of the shower areas. The water pressure is about as good as you can expect being in Bali but it did work well the entire visit. The water from the showers will get all over the floor each time you take a shower so an extra towel or 2 can do the job. The room was cleaned at excatly the same time each day around 11am. The property and the staff are all great and make your stay very easy going. Very easy check in and check out. The hotel goes all the way back to legian beach and has every you can imagine at the front of the property off Jl padma utara so you really can walk anywhere you want to. Very accessible location and Im sure i will always go back to this Hotel in the future.

The standard rooms and area they are located is very old and needs updating, if you are just after a room to put your head then it is great. It is very loud until midnight with music. Although it is cleaned each day and they work hard to keep it clean it looks dirty from age. The staff around the property are very friendly, the staff at reception are not friendly, they do not make you feel wecome and do not feel approachable. The pools are great. Breakfast great for the price. It is in a great location, close to the beach, restaurants and shopping. You get what you pay for.

Staff were just fantastic, we had a few hiccups at the start and the staff were eager to please. The standard rooms are really not pleasant but we upgraded too superior for not much more and were reasonably, happy apart for a very unpleasant smell in the room, but as it was our third room change we didn't want to complain or move again and we made do

Fantastic hotel, great position, walk across the rd to the beach for great coffee and great meals. Walk out the front to great shopping. Staff were so friendly and extremely helpful in every way especially Amelia at reception. We will definitely be back.

We got there an hour early but was told our room was ready we thought great but when we got there the door was stuck and had to push so hard to open and went inside it hadn’t been cleaned and the aircon was not on so we put our cases in our room and contacted reception and they came to clean so we went off for lunch. When we got back it was nice and tidy but the aircon still wasn’t working only hot air blowing out we tried to fix and sort of worked but asked someone to check it out so we went out for awhile but when we got back it was nice and cool. Tired and a bit irritated I sat down to watch tv but only 7channels of static we couldn’t watch anything. Lucky I had my iPad to watch Netflix. Wifi is excellent a pity they don’t have smart tv . Also it was annoying that 1 of the pools was closed for maintenance it was was my favourite which wasn’t shown on your website when I booked. Also the bathroom door kept getting stuck as well. See Trip Advisor. Black mould ceiling in bathroom, cracked basin, dirty bath and shower, putrid stained old mattress and stained mattress protector, no pool towels for days, dirty kettle, previous guests food left in dirty fridge. Beligerent manager. He lied to us 3 times about being fully booked and only having the rooms ge showed us. We asked for a room with some power points as we bith have CPAP machines to sleep with. He said they didnt have any rooms. Our friend then complained at 9pm when she saw the state of her mattress. 30yrs old and stained and black mould! Suddenley they were being shifted! When we saw they had a powerpoint right next to the bed i said why wasnt i offered this room. They suddenley said you can.have the room next door. They showed us 2 rooms before the moukdy mattress episode and giving us a long power cord to drape over the dusty bedhead. Then they give us what we had asked for. No assistance with baggage at all. Our room didnt have any towels so i returned yo teception. The manager just said find the room cleaner. Its a big hotel! I had to climb to the 3rd floor and look for their trolley.Pool is dirty with black tiles and thick grease ring around it. Bread mouldy at breakfast. Not worth the money we paid. This hotel should be removed from Wotif!!!!!!!! I wanted to contact you and ask for our mo wy to be transferred to another Hotel but you dont have an assistance line!

I have been staying there annually for more than 13 years but it has declined drastically since COVID I asked for ground floor but put on first floor luckily it had a ramp but was only for 2 nights then changed to ground floor. The first room we were in we’ve stayed in before and the bathroom door still gets stuck not fixed after constant feedback of 3 years. Bedding and towels need replacing very washed out and grey with holes. Breakfast below average. Gardens used to be beautiful now neglected and needs a good clean out. 2nd room we stayed in the entrance door very difficult to close and a few days later the bed collapsed but great service in the way that after contacting reception they fixed both problems within 5 minutes. Cafe on street entrance had bad service had to wait 40 min for food that was overpriced for such small tasteless serves. We won’t eat there again. Tv reception very poor and only a few channels needs smart tvs. Most hotels now have them. Needs painting. The pools are terrific. The staff were great and the surrounding area we love the shopping eateries are spot on but not sure if we will be back there’s a lot of well priced nice accommodation close by

Be careful!! I was in my room when two cleaners arrived. I was moving out to the balcony when I remembered my money belt with 200aud was in the bathroom. I went to get it and there was one cleaner on there. My money was missing. I called management and they refused to do anything and said he was a long serving employee. Didn’t even ask him to empty his pockets. Don’t stay here.

We enjoyed our stay at Melasti! We stayed for 7 nights in a family suite with our 2 children and the room set up was perfect for a family of 4. Our room was tidied everyday, new towels and bottled water provided. The hotel has a small mini mart at the front to purchase extra larger bottles water. The property is in a great location right on the beach front and has many dining and shopping options close by. Also, many tattoo and beauty parlours. The facilities aren't "5-star", in terms of a few bits and pieces are run down, but for the price and location, it didn't bother us at all. The 3 pool areas kept our kids happy and 2 pools have swim-up bars to order food and drinks. All of the staff were friendly and helpful. My mother stayed at the resort also, and was placed in a room far away from us and rhe aircon wasnt working very well. She raised her concerns with staff, and the next day they were able to move her to a room closer to us and with a better aircon. Staff do eveything they can to help.

I’ve stayed here many times over the years but not in December. Unfortunately the weather was poor in Bali during my stay. The condition of the hotel has deteriorated a lot and the breakfast standard has dropped substantially. I think this is because of a drop in cliental bookings. All of Bali seemed quieter. The staff here always wonderful but the facilities sadly are poor. Electricity kept tripping in one of our rooms. Hot water was not always available. At on stage there was no water for the whole day. One room had rats inside the room eating behind the wardrobe.

What you pay for you get Cheap and nasty. It only deserves a 2 star rating Worst breakfast I have ever come across in a hotel, stale pastries and cakes, not a good variety in fruit. TV didn’t work, no hot water, aircon didn’t work and fridge froze everything, moved to another room at my expense, The position is fabulous, staff are lovely To the person who owns it spend a bit of money and update your hotel

Pool is run down, broken tiles, paving trip hazards. No playground or indoor play room like advertised. Not any shade around pool. Breakfast was good with changing daily options and egg station. Great location both street and beach. Quiet at night no loud music. Large family rooms was great.

Our last stay at Melasti was about 12 years ago and the rooms are the same. Dated but comfortable enough. We had a family suite, air con worked perfectly. Wi-Fi all around the property and in our room worked and was strong. My two young children enjoyed the pool closest to reception, it was quieter and cleaner than the main pool. A few cool floaties to play on and pool noodles. Staff were all friendly and helpful. Breakfast was terrible. We went the first day but when ants poured out with the cereal we gave it a miss for the rest of the trip. Hubby did however like the egg station. Plenty of places around the hotel to grab breakfast. Can’t fault the location. Beach across the road, good coffee around the corner (mugshot) and close to some fab restaurants. Pretty quiet at night besides fireworks going off on the beach every so often, we were however close to the beach end of resort. It’s not perfect but I would stay again considering the price and location.

The property hads deteriorated extremely....it has 3 pools and the 2 main ones were not safe to swim in for 2 weeks....the water was green. Paid for breakfast but had to eat out....food was slop....dining room deserted at night...guests go elsewhere.

The property is an absolute disgrace!!!!! It is tired, filthy and so unkept. NOTHING at all like the pictures. Sheets are brown, towels are brown. Cob webs swinging from the ceiling that is covered in mould. bathrooms are absolutely filthy. The pool has a nice ring of scum around the tiles. The breakfast is just so poor its not funny. Please your options and as you get what you have payed for!!!!!!!!

Very run down. Flyscreens to our bathroom were damaged so we ended up covered in bites. One toilet kept clogging, loose seat on the other. Water dribbled out of the shower heads, no pressure. Light in one end of the room wouldn’t turn on. Phones weren’t working to call reception. Electrical wires hanging out of the walls.

Lovely big rooms / bed and bathroom in an older styled resort. Yes it would have been amazing in its day - but for the room rate, and location, also next to the beach, it was everything I wanted. Will definitely return! Staff were super friendly, helpful and made the stay that much better.

Rooms are dated. Pink mold in bathroom and pink flaking off ceiling. Breakfast was extremely average. We were next to the pool, which was cool, if you like 2h straight acdc and bogan spitting yelling and swearing.

Mixed review, the rooms are really outdated, rooms smelt really bad with severe damp, I slept under the blankets in the heat because of the smell. Multiple families members stayed and their rooms also had the bad mould/damp smell. But the outside is beautiful, the gardens are lovely, the buildings are pretty and you can't hear the busy streets. The resort is also in a great location in Legian. The staff are really friendly, always smiling and say hello as they walk past. Beautiful people. If you can get past the smell it's totally worth the price. We stayed in another budget resort and they also ha
