Goed gelegen hotel, in de dichte buurt van de oude haven en op wandelafstand van talrijke cafés en restaurants. Het hotel is wel wat toe aan opfrissing. Vooral de isolatie kan beter, aangezien de drukke buurt nogal voor lawaai kan zorgen. De lift was even buiten gebruik, wat niet ideaal is voor een verblijf op het vijfde verdiep. Het personeel is wel heel vriendelijk en beleefd.

Hotel has good location and parking provided by hotel at discounted rate is not far (about 15 mins walk) Hotel is a bit dated and it would need some refurbishment however, you get what you pay for. Pillows are extremely uncomfortable but other than that it is a nice budget friendly hotel. Service is good and staff very polite.

Great location a block from the port, close to restaurants, but the hotel has its own and it is good, close to nightlife! Service was great and we had a complementary breakfast with fresh coffee and croissants!

Personnel très agréable et souriant. Chambre simple, joliment décorée dans bel immeuble avec beaucoup de cachet. Position centrale idéale. Bon petit déjeuner, quoique pas varié. Les petits bémols : mauvaise insonorisation, on entend les voisins bruyants, chambre avec balconnet donnant sur cour intérieure avec odeurs de cuisine. Très bon rapport qualité/prix.

Wonderful experience here in Marseille at Hôtel Maison Saint Louis - Vieux Port. Easy access to port, le panier, local activities, and transportation options all across town. Place was incredibly clean and every little aspect of the room was well thought out. Highlighly recommend for solo or couples travelling.

Beautiful hotel, newly remodelled. Knocking a point for cleanliness due to the fact our room likely had dirty towels still hanging behind the door. And our bathroom ceiling had a leak that caused clothing to get wet that was hanging. Otherwise everything was beautiful. Nothing against the hotel but should be noted lots of construction in the area.

Staff were friendly but general public areas were not very clean. Very dark when you came out of the lift. My bin I’m the bedroom had not been emptied from the last guest, the curtains didn’t close properly which meant I was woken really early. The lock didn’t work on the inside of the bedroom door.

This hotel had what you needed. A bit dated, needs to be upgraded. Nothing outstanding. Our biggest concern was the AC in the room would keep breaking down during our stay. It was super hot. Frustrating waking up in the middle of the night sweating, couldn't open windows because of the mosquitos and the street below was quite loud until all hours of the night. It was close to bars and restaurants.

I have to be honest, when I first got my room, I was a little disappointed. I usually bring my laptop to write a travel diary when Im travelling, so Im usually looking for rooms with a desk or a table. From the pictures of the rooms, I thought the room I had booked had one. Sadly, it was a rather small room with no table, nor even a chair. Now, I have a gold membership with Hotels.com and this was a VIP-hotell, that would include an upgrade free if there were any available. Im too reserved to ask for an update, but I was a little miffed when my friend who is not a gold member got an upgrade, and I did'nt. After seeing my room, I went down and talked to the reciptionist, and asked if there were any chance to upgrade to a bigger room, or atleast a room with a char and table. Again, I was too shy to point out that as a gold member I was supposed to get an automatic upgrade, and did accept to pay another 20€ a night for the two nights I stayed there. Im glad I did, because the new room was amazing. In addition to the table and chairs in the room, it also had a balcony on the 5th floor, overlooking the neighbourhood. An amazing room. Loved it. Bathroom was nice, and clean. The bar/restaurant next door was also really nice, and very helpful with icecubes. All in all, and amazing experience, when I got past that first room.

The staff were very accommodating and friendly. Despite recent reconstruction everything was under control with no disruption of services. I would have no hesitation recommending the hotel to others. I loved the vibrancy of the neighborhood and its close proximity to the Vieux Port. Area was very safe I thought - day and night.

Everyone at Hotel Amista was fabulous. Our luggage was delayed and the servers in the bar loaned us their adaptors so we could at least charge our phones. The breakfast was lovely. While the street construction is kind of a pain, the hotel is in a great walking distance to the port, cafes and shopping. The front desk was very helpful. The room is quiet and we stay here again and highly recommend staying here. All of the employees were friendly and very helpful. I’m afraid to name them as I’m sire I would leave someone out. We met the hotel manager and she is great.

The staff were very accommodating and friendly. Despite recent reconstruction everything was under control with no disruption of services. I would have no hesitation recommending the hotel to others. Really handy location close to Old Port area. Lots of shops and restaurants in walking distance. Hotel staff were nice, smooth check in and check out. Hotel breakfast was very basic but worth price paid for it as was cheaper through our booking than buying it there. Room was fine. A tight squeeze for king bed but there was a small dining table that was an unexpected bonus. Room/bathroom could use a wee touch up/refresh but overall clean and tidy. Plenty hot water and good water pressure. Area feels very safe during the day, nothing unlikely any other European city. At night, area felt okay but due to proximity to Main Street there were maybe more ‘characters’. Was never approached or made to feel uncomfortable by anyone. Would consider staying here again if had budget was less. A solid three star hotel.

Everyone at Hotel Amista was fabulous. Our luggage was delayed and the servers in the bar loaned us their adaptors so we could at least charge our phones. The breakfast was lovely. While the street construction is kind of a pain, the hotel is in a great walking distance to the port, cafes and shopping. The front desk was very helpful. The room is quiet and we stay here again and highly recommend staying here. All of the employees were friendly and very helpful. I’m afraid to name them as I’m sire I would leave someone out. We met the hotel manager and she is great.

Beautiful hotel, newly remodelled. Knocking a point for cleanliness due to the fact our room likely had dirty towels still hanging behind the door. And our bathroom ceiling had a leak that caused clothing to get wet that was hanging. Otherwise everything was beautiful. Nothing against the hotel but should be noted lots of construction in the area.

Hotel was perfect location - approx 3 streets from Port Vieux Area around hotel was amazing during the day with 3 cafes outside the door and lovely courtyard area - at night it seemed not very safe outside with unsavoury characters -This did not put us off the hotel as hotel felt very nice and safe - Room was small but perfect for what we needed - clean - Staff covered cafe and reception but were there when we needed . Very happy with our hotel stay

Great location right in the center of the old town, quiet and nice room with a spacious bathroom and terrace on the back. A lot of towels in the wardrobe. Breakfast is served in their bar downstairs.

The hotel and staff were quite friendly and most were very good with helping in English (my French is weak). the breakfast is good and coffee and bar both good, but it closes The room was comfortable, clean and the AC was very good, a must in Marseille. One bad, the area is on the edge of being sketchy. Keep aware of your situations!

Outstanding hotel in the middle of everything, with all the nice amenities, including a café-restaurant, where you can eat breakfast. The coffee could be a tad better, but the croissants are excellent!

Das Hotel liegt sehr günstig nahe dem vieux port. alles super, nur das Frühstücksbufett sollte als solches nicht bezeichnet werden. Es gibt pro Person ein Heißgetränk (Kaffee oder Tee), 1 Gebäck (Croissant oder Schokocroissant), 1 Orangensaft ODER 1 Glas Fruchtsalat. Alles andere kostet extra. Aber wir haben gelernt, dass man auch mit einem Croissant und einem Kaffee lange und gemütlich vor dem Hotel sitzen und das Treiben am Platz und auf der Straße beobachten kann. Quasi ums Eck ist auch ein sehenswerter Straßenmarkt, wo es viele internationale Leckereien gibt. Freundliches, hilfsbereites Personal, ordentliche Zimmer, alles top

Great location a block from the port, close to restaurants, but the hotel has its own and it is good, close to nightlife! Service was great and we had a complementary breakfast with fresh coffee and croissants!

Outstanding, smaller hotel in a wonderful (albeit touristic) area. The staff was exceptionally friendly, kind, patient and helpful. The area has literally dozens, maybe more, decent restaurants (many Tunisien places) and great museums and attractions within easy walking distance. Marseille is certainly wrongly maligned as a place to avoid - that is really old news, if it ever was true. The hotel restaurant is a great place to have breakfast, and I recommend spending a little extra to book a room with a balcony and table. It's a lovely way to start the day with a coffee and watch the neighborhood wake-up. A five-star experience at very reasonable prices. Allez l'OM! (if you know, you know!)

Pros - the room was large and comfortable; the staff was pleasant and helpful. Cons - The hotel is located just outside of the main tourist area. It isn't the safest neighborhood and I wouldn't recommend the hotel for women traveling alone. The street is normally closed so you have to get dropped off and picked up on the corner. It is very inconvenient for checking in and out with luggage. The parking lot is a close walk but a tough drive navigating terrible traffic and one way or closed roads.
