This is a historic property with excellent modern amenities. The staff were over the top helpful, especially Jacqueline. There is ample parking and a farm yard with sheep, chickens, and goats- cute! It is a three minute walk to the entrance of the Château of Chenonceau. There was a nice comfortable sitting area with books. Excellent place to stay to see this adorable town and the château. Highly recommend!

This is the most wonderful place to stay! Super charming, wonderful and helpful staff, and most spacious and comfortable rooms. There is parking and the gate closes at night for security. The restaurant is elegant and fine dining. This was one of the best dinners we had in France. The Auberge is walking distance to Chenonceau. We will only stay here for future visits!

My husband and I had a lovey stay at Auberge du Bon Laboreur. While we stayed in March and the gardens were non existent, I can only imagine how beautiful the property will be once in bloom. The staff was very helpful and friendly - I saw other reviews say they were stiff and rude. This was not our experience - formal perhaps. The food was delicious - especially the "gastronimique" restaurant. The staff was also very helpful in accommodating my husband who eats vegan. Our room was large with a separate lounge area and private patio. The decor is a bit dated and not 5 star but we were very comfortable. The heated pool (in March!), hot tub and cold plunge were a huge plus and we used every day. We did not try the sauna or hammam but they looked very nice. Walk to Chateaux Chenonceau and easy drive to others - this chateux was by far our favorite. Hope to come back to Auberge du Bon Laboureur!

The property is very well located to visit the local and impressive chateau, as well as those in surrounding towns. Success over the years has clearly enabled the family owners to expand the property and so the hotel has prominent position in the centre of the village. Facilities are great (the pool and gardens are lovely), and the tasting menu in the restaurant was excellent (perhaps the best of our 3 week trip). Breakfast is disappointingly not included in the room rate and at 24EUR is expensive. We were also frustrated that the small buffet was being cleared while we were still eating and choosing items, which left us feeling uncomfortable. Overall, it is a lovely hotel, and a good base for the local area. Some of the staff did not seem very happy, which (we feel) could be felt in the service we received, and the cost of our stay was at the top end of what we paid throughout our trip which we didn't feel matched our experience.

We stayed at The Signature Room for 4 nights. It’s a very uncomfortable room located in the attic of an old farmhouse reached by spiral stairs only. The room has a low Beamed vaulted ceiling that was very hard to navigate without being hurt, furnished throughout with shabby not functional furniture without wardrobe. The Cleaning staff thrown away my prescription medications that had to be recovered from the garbage. The breakfast was just okay. Please, don’t have hi expectations if you decide to have a dinner there. Auberge du Bon Laboureur was a part of our 16 days trip in France. We can’t comprehend how it can be advertised and priced as a 5-star tourist hotel.

Belle chambre avec malheureusement un problème d'écoulement de l'eau dans la douche - l'auberge nous a gracieusement offert le petit déjeuner en guise de compensation, ce qui fut très apprécié. Petit déjeuner type buffet très bien!

Given the rating for the hotel we were disappointed in certain aspects. The location of the hotel we ideal to visit Chenonceaux Chateau and the pool area was excellent including hot tub/sauna. The staff were friendly & helpful. The Bistro food was good. Our suite however was poor as there was no view and the bathroom only had a handheld shower connected to the bath taps and due to the sloping rood it was not possible to stand up when showering. This was very inconvenient. The sofa bed was uncomfortable and did not have a duvet (only sheets/blanket) We met the owner when we left and she advised that we should have asked to change suites. The tariff for the above was extremely high and our experience did not justify this and we will not be staying at this hotel in the future.

Merci pour le surclassement. Grande chambre romantique. Personnels irréprochables. Voiturier, bagagiste, choix entre deux salles de restaurant. Parking privé. Ravissant hôtel au cœur de la Touraine, distance à pied du château de Chenonceau..3 Ravissants salons, lounge, piano, lecture. Personnel et managers de cet hôtel disponibles et échanges très agréables.

The hotel was very nice located in a very small and quiet town. So if you like a quiet place to stay, away from the city, this is the place for you. The staff at the hotel was excellent. When they heard we were going on a hot air balloon at sunrise on a cool morning, they offered us jackets to use. In addition, we had a problem with our rental car and they helped us translate with the car repair service person who came to help us. They really went out of their way to make our stay a memorable one.

It is a three minute walk to the entrance of the Château of Chenonceau. There was a nice comfortable sitting area with books. Excellent place to stay to see this adorable town and the château. Highly recommend!

The staff (especially Natalie) went out of their way to anticipate and accommodate our wishes. The dinner at the hotel restaurant was excellent and filled with tasty surprises. The property is very well located to visit the local and impressive chateau, as well as those in surrounding towns. Success over the years has clearly enabled the family owners to expand the property and so the hotel has prominent position in the centre of the village. Facilities are great (the pool and gardens are lovely), and the tasting menu in the restaurant was excellent (perhaps the best of our 3 week trip). Breakfast is disappointingly not included in the room rate and at 24EUR is expensive. We were also frustrated that the small buffet was being cleared while we were still eating and choosing items, which left us feeling uncomfortable. Overall, it is a lovely hotel, and a good base for the local area. Some of the staff did not seem very happy, which (we feel) could be felt in the service we received, and the cost of our stay was at the top end of what we paid throughout our trip which we didn't feel matched our experience.
