Super schönes Chateau in der Nähe von Beaune. Tolle Zimmer, wir hatten die rote Suite 105 im Parterre. Riesengross! Tolles Haus, sehr freundliches Personal, toller Pool und im Wald auf dem Rundgang herrlich, um mit den Hunden zu spazieren. Wir waren das zweite Mal in dem Hotel und kommen sehr gerne wieder:-)

We have travelled the world and stayed at numerous great places, but this one left an indelible mark on our hearts. All thanks not only to an authentic yet respectfully modernized French oasis, but also to the host Vanessa and her team – their exceptional warmth and hospitality truly made us feel appreciated and welcome! We had a lovely room in the annex, from where we could easily overlook and access the beautiful pool area, as well as enter our room from the charming courtyard. The breakfast is a chapter by itself: a sumptuous selection of whatever you could wish for, all meticulously prepared and served in a chateau-worthy setting. When the weather allows, you can choose to enjoy it in the courtyard garden, where you can dine surrounded by a feeling of ancient magic." We will surely come back!

Beautiful property, peaceful, great location to visit Beaune and the vineyards around. Bedroom was smaller than expected and quite dark, so this was a little disappointing. The area around the swimming pool needs a little bit of maintenance. With that said, it was overall a great stay.

Really beautiful chateau. Staff were all very helpful and welcoming. Lovely gardens and pool. We travelled with our large, bouncy dog and it was perfect as there was big field next to the chateau that we could let him run around. No complaints at all about this lovely property and would stay again.

This place is a hidden gem. Near the A6 Autoroute, but isolated from any noise. Wonderful pool, clean and modern rooms. The owners were so nice. We had a charcuterie board that was outstanding. Overall,a great way to end our two week stay in France!!!!

We stayed at this property for several days and were easily able to explore the area in all directions. The staff were lovely. The Chateau is not as far out in the country as it looks on the website. Parking is easy and the grounds are large and beautiful. Recommend strongly.

Joli produit, accueil, propreté, parking, proximité de Beaune, séjour très agréable. Dernière Chambre dispo (206), petite (SDB) intégrée à Ch, pas très confort, literie moyenne. Manque un peu de rafraichissement général de la bâtisse, au regard du classement, mais tout à fait acceptable.

Das Personal war sehr nett. Das Zimmer war leider nicht unser Geschmack, sehr staubig und alt. (Wir hatten ein Standard Zimmer, nicht im Château). Der Pool ist schön. Das Château sieht auch schön aus. Ist etwas weit vom Zentrum entfernt, zu Fuß etwa 3 km. Die Autobahn A6 läuft nah am Gelände vorbei, hört man beim Pool aber im Zimmer haben wir da nichts von mitbekommen.

Das Personal war sehr nett. Das Zimmer war leider nicht unser Geschmack, sehr staubig und alt. (Wir hatten ein Standard Zimmer, nicht im Château). Der Pool ist schön. Das Château sieht auch schön aus. Ist etwas weit vom Zentrum entfernt, zu Fuß etwa 3 km. Die Autobahn A6 läuft nah am Gelände vorbei, hört man beim Pool aber im Zimmer haben wir da nichts von mitbekommen.

Adoramos os dias que ficamos no Chateau Challange. Tomás e Vanessa foram excelentes anfitriões. A hotel é muito bonito e charmoso. História se sente no ar. Está muito bem cuidado, com uma renovação bem feita e cheia de charme. Adoramos o quarto. Sem duvida voltaremos e recomendaremos aos amigos.

My husband and I had a lovely stay at this hotel. Our room was one with a jetted tub, which was fabulous. We had a sitting room and a bedroom, which was spacious and tastefully decorated with antiques. Totally worth the upgrade. Hotel Challenges was the perfect home base for exploring Burgundy. You will need a car, as the hotel is a mile outside Beaune. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The first day they gave us maps and suggested restaurants in the area. Breakfast was great, lots of choices. We used the pool once and found it crowded, but it was clean and well-maintained. The best thing about this hotel was the resident tabby cat. Very regal and happy to be petted.

Ondanks het mooie domein ligt het vlak naast de autostrade en is er wel wat geluidshinder buiten. In de kamer was er geen probleem. Het personeel was supervriendelijk en de kamer was ook zeker ruimen en had alle nodige voorzieningen.

Kl Terasse, im Sommer mit Blick auf den Pool (saisonal). Super nettes Personal. Sehr leckeres Frühstücksbuffet mit guter Auswahl! Wir kommen gerne wieder!

We stayed at this property for several days and were easily able to explore the area in all directions. The staff were lovely. The Chateau is not as far out in the country as it looks on the website. Parking is easy and the grounds are large and beautiful. Recommend strongly.

Adoramos os dias que ficamos no Chateau Challange. Tomás e Vanessa foram excelentes anfitriões. A hotel é muito bonito e charmoso. História se sente no ar. Está muito bem cuidado, com uma renovação bem feita e cheia de charme. Adoramos o quarto. Sem duvida voltaremos e recomendaremos aos amigos.

Beautiful property, peaceful, great location to visit Beaune and the vineyards around. Bedroom was smaller than expected and quite dark, so this was a little disappointing. The area around the swimming pool needs a little bit of maintenance. With that said, it was overall a great stay.

This place is a hidden gem. Near the A6 Autoroute, but isolated from any noise. Wonderful pool, clean and modern rooms. The owners were so nice. We had a charcuterie board that was outstanding. Overall,a great way to end our two week stay in France!!!!

Das Personal war sehr nett. Das Zimmer war leider nicht unser Geschmack, sehr staubig und alt. (Wir hatten ein Standard Zimmer, nicht im Château). Der Pool ist schön. Das Château sieht auch schön aus. Ist etwas weit vom Zentrum entfernt, zu Fuß etwa 3 km. Die Autobahn A6 läuft nah am Gelände vorbei, hört man beim Pool aber im Zimmer haben wir da nichts von mitbekommen.

Das Personal war sehr nett. Das Zimmer war leider nicht unser Geschmack, sehr staubig und alt. (Wir hatten ein Standard Zimmer, nicht im Château). Der Pool ist schön. Das Château sieht auch schön aus. Ist etwas weit vom Zentrum entfernt, zu Fuß etwa 3 km. Die Autobahn A6 läuft nah am Gelände vorbei, hört man beim Pool aber im Zimmer haben wir da nichts von mitbekommen.

My husband and I had a lovely stay at this hotel. Our room was one with a jetted tub, which was fabulous. We had a sitting room and a bedroom, which was spacious and tastefully decorated with antiques. Totally worth the upgrade. Hotel Challenges was the perfect home base for exploring Burgundy. You will need a car, as the hotel is a mile outside Beaune. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The first day they gave us maps and suggested restaurants in the area. Breakfast was great, lots of choices. We used the pool once and found it crowded, but it was clean and well-maintained. The best thing about this hotel was the resident tabby cat. Very regal and happy to be petted.

We have travelled the world and stayed at numerous great places, but this one left an indelible mark on our hearts. All thanks not only to an authentic yet respectfully modernized French oasis, but also to the host Vanessa and her team – their exceptional warmth and hospitality truly made us feel appreciated and welcome! We had a lovely room in the annex, from where we could easily overlook and access the beautiful pool area, as well as enter our room from the charming courtyard. The breakfast is a chapter by itself: a sumptuous selection of whatever you could wish for, all meticulously prepared and served in a chateau-worthy setting. When the weather allows, you can choose to enjoy it in the courtyard garden, where you can dine surrounded by a feeling of ancient magic." We will surely come back!

We visit Beaune 5 times per year as we live in France.This property listed as a 4 star hotel is very run down, no restaurant a 10 minute drive from Beaune and nothing nearby.We paid €300 for one night and it was a gloomy, depressing experience.Tjere are many better choices in Beaune so avoid this overpriced and shabby hotel

Nous avons passé un agréable week-end au Château de Challenge. C’est une très belle demeure, qui offre un cadre magnifique et une ambiance particulièrement chaleureuse. Toutefois, certains détails dans la chambre mériteraient d’être améliorés afin d’être pleinement à la hauteur d’un établissement 4 étoiles : des coins de papier peint qui se décollent, des joints de douche noircis, ainsi que la petite lampe située à côté du lit, qui était cassée, ne tenait pas correctement et ne fonctionnait pas. Nous avons également regretté l’absence de réfrigérateur dans la chambre. Malgré ces quelques points, nous gardons un bon souvenir de notre séjour, mais ces petites finitions mériteraient davantage d’attention pour que la prestation soit à la hauteur du standing annoncé.

Vi som tre vänner på genomresa spenderade en natt på Chateau de Challanges, en liten bit utanför Beaune. Vi fick ett varmt välkomnande till denna vackra plats. Vårt trebäddsrum ovanpå det gamla stallet hade aircondition och sköna sängar. Morgonen startade med en härlig frukost i den välbevarade huvudbyggnaden. Skulle gärna komma tillbaka!

A beautiful place to stay and one of our favourite hotels of the trip. The chalet is gorgeous, with a lovely outdoor pool and a really cosy, comfortable room. The staff were also warm and friendly throughout our stay. It’s a little out of town, but that’s actually part of its charm, it’s incredibly peaceful and quiet, while still being close enough to get into Beaune easily. The hotel doesn’t have a restaurant, which is worth bearing in mind, although breakfast is available and they can provide other food on request. The bar is also very well stocked, which is a nice touch. We rented bikes from the hotel for €20 for the day. They’re fairly basic but perfectly adequate for exploring the surrounding area and getting into Beaune. The only small criticism would be that the bathroom could do with a little more hanging space, there weren’t really anywhere to hang bath towels, for example. Overall, a beautiful, peaceful and characterful place to stay. We’d happily return.
