Radisson BLU Hotel & Spa, Sligo

Staff were friendly but too few of them. Cleanliness a real issue, gum stuck to mirror in lift for 2 days of my stay. Breakfast was nice but arrive early to get a seat. Pool small and overcrowded at times. Biggest complaint was comfort of bed and pillows.. I can usually sleep on a rock but this was less comfortable than a rock !

We loved the hotel but swimming pool should open later hours. I will bring a shower cap to pool next time.

Staff extremely friendly, good food options, Great breakfast in the morning….the indoor pool was not a good experience, a lot of rules, not a typical indoor hotel pool it’s more of a heath and fitness center for people outside of the hotel. Still would recommend

This recent trip to the Radisson disappointed me when compared to my last stay. I'd no robe or slippers in the room which are invaluable when attending the pool. The steam room was closed. Apple juice poured from a carton for my children was €3.75 a glass. I understand profit margins but this seemed excessive. But my main disappointment was with breakfast. I'd no issue queuing. It was a busy morning but the food area was a mess. Cereal scattered, hot chocolate powder all over the counter and 2 empty jars, discarded coffee cups. Hardly any meats or cheese or pastries . It seemed that no one was restocking or cleaning . It was actually off putting. Maybe we were just unlucky that morning . I have to say though reception staff were lovely and gave me an extra camp bed for my teenage son as we had 2x doubles. I also think the seating off the foyer is great in the evening when you've a family rather than sitting in the bar.

Great business hotel, great environment and pool/spa was delightful

Sauna and swimming area was greeat and the view was fantastic.

While this hotel was a couple of miles from downtown Sligo, I’m glad we chose it. The service was excellent, there was plenty of free parking, and the room was very clean and comfortable. I heard the spa was great, but we didn’t visit that.

Booked a standard room as this is all that was available - worst decision ever to stay at this Radisson! Please update your description when advertising this hotel as it’s misleading - your room may not have a view of anything out the window - ours was another roof and aircon piping totally covering window to the outside world blocking any light that may have filtered in on a good day. Also advertises a small refrigerator - there used to be one in the room but this space has literally been screwed shut and no fridge to be seen. The Steam room was also broken down - this was one of the reasons I booked to stay at this hotel instead of elsewhere closer to town. Also had to wait an extended time to be seated for breakfast - although the young guy looking after everyone was doing his best. All in all - worst stay ever! This room should be charged at half the price of a normal standard room in the property!

Beautiful, pristine, spacious bedroom. Lovely breakfast with full variety of options available. Friendly and helpful staff with on site swimming pool to enjoy.

Extremely dirty will not be staying again

Breakfast, dinner, bar, pool and staff were all good. It's great that there's aircon in the bedrooms but unfortunately it was insufficient to cool my room. There was also hair on the pillow, the straps on the mattress protector were broken and so the bed clothes were loose and both bottles of water in the room had been drunk by a previous guest.

We really liked the food! The Waves Bar was very delicious and the service was very good. I would recommend to make a reservation for the Brasserie as it can get very busy. There was some dust in the room that had a slight effect on my partner and myself throughout the night. Otherwise, the facilities and conditions were good. The location is nice and quiet and close enough to the city center by vehicle transportation.

We had a great break at the hotel. Friendly & helpful staff. Food was excellent. Rooms were very clean & comfortable. We will be back.

Property appears clean but on closer examination is dirty. Stains on carpets, curtains, served a dirty glass with lipstick on it, had reserved and prepaid for a triple room and because we only have 2 people in our party they attempted to give us a smaller room. The shower and tub facet didn’t work properly. Would not recommend.

The property was a couple of miles outside of Sligo town, parking was ample and the hotel itself appeared in good condition. The room was very good and we stayed for 4 nights. Free water was a nice touch but there wasn't a fridge. I thought the incentive run by the hotel for €5 credit for each day the housekeeper was not used was excellent, no hidden catches and €15 off our last nights food bill. Some of the tidying up after other guests had vacated areas was slow and there was some significant staining on some of the chairs and settees which was a little off putting. Staff were very friendly. The tables for 2 near to the breakfast buffet were in a terrible position as they became a short cut for other guests to squeeze past, really unpleasant and infuriating. Breakfast choices were excellent and the staff did their best to keep on top of the crowds but were overwhelmed on occasions. I do think the hotel should put notices up to prevent people from making their picnic lunches up from breakfast items, some people just have such little self awareness and were taking large amounts of food. All in all we would stay here agin

We booked a superior room and paid an extra premium for it. While the room was spacious and clean, there was a high wall directly outside the window which gave the room a claustrophobic feel. You couldn't even see the sky! This room should not be sold as a superior room.

My stay was great. But the noise from a wedding was a pain.

There was no cold water in shower, so couldn't use it.

Great sized room, easily fit the 4 of us. Good value stay. Nice pool facilities and a decent breakfast.

Absolute loved our stay. The hotel was exceptional, the staff super friendly and the food was amazing. Undoutedly the most beautiful room during our 2 week trip around Ireland and the bed was super comfortable that caused us to overslept the first morning. We will be back!

The hotel and staff were great. Unfortunately we were given a room on the top floor with an outlook of a roof covered with air conditioning units and air extractors. These gave out a constant engine noise right through our stay.

I was only able to sleep a couple of hours a night because of the air not circulating in the room. The Air conditioning system would turn off completely every 30 minutes to two hours. If you need air circulation in your room to sleep, this is definitely not the place to stay right now. The first time I asked for assistance to address the issue, they simply turned it on remotely and it turned off within 2 hours. The second time I requested assistance they sent a representative to the room to show me how to push the power button. Really…. Do you think this resolved the issue of it turning off? Therefore, the problem was never resolved because they didn’t take the time to listen to the actual issue. My wife and I slept approximately 6 to 7 hours in 3 days. This is the first time we are submitting a negative review because we are careful about selecting rooms with air conditioning, so we do not have to leave the window open and risk insects coming in throughout the night.

Staff very helpful. Forgot toothpaste and they helped out.. simple things but thats what matters

We were not welcomed correctly. Staff training took from being greeted properly. Were not informed of the leisure facilities etc. During buffet meal, we asked for chicken and salmon and were rudly refused my lady with glasses who said no she'd have to see if there was enoughc for everybody. Very unprofessional. Some of the toilets were in need of attention. Breakfast was cold and not replenished. Would most definitely not be back

It was a nice stay. Everybody was very nice. The front desk staff was very friendly and helpful.

We choose to stay at Radissons for special occasions because of how they have treated us in the past and made the event feel special with little notes and small gifts. So we decided to stay at one in Sligo for a very special and personal event. We realised that we tried to check in one hour before check-in time. When we came back at 3pm, we were not even recognised and asked to fill out the same form. We had to wait an additional hour while everyone else was allowed entry to their rooms, even though we explained we had a photoshoot to get ready for. We ended up having only about 15 minutes to get ready because of this. While it was briefly acknowledged and a flat congratulations, there was nothing special in the room which is why I thought it took so long (this was noted in our booking). Later we found out that our friends received an upgrade and they said they were handing them out and were left a personalised note and bar of chocolate in their room. The walls were thin, you could hear the tv on both sides and an early morning conference down the hall was extremely loud. The air con was maxed out but still very hot in the room and when getting ready for the main event BOTH hairdryers were dead. Upon check out and asked about the stay, I told them we weren't satisfied and why. I received an email to what I think is an unacceptable response because it didn't address my concern. While the hotel was a great location and breakfast was great, I wouldn't stay here again.

On arrival to check in the gentleman who was checking my family and I in decided midway though checking in to stop ans totally ignore me and try to check another customer in and scan their key to the room but it turned out it was not the person he thought, i was so annoyed at this first stage , feeling second class, very little information was given about the hotel as i wasnt wearing a fancy clothes . Upon entry to our room i found the hair dryer to be melted from over heating , the bed for my son was very uncomfortable. I felt staff were just there for the wealthy tourists. The only member of staff that went over and beyond was the guy who helped us get sorted with a table , he was so professional and understanding. Food standard in the the bar was very poor , food coming out cold no excuse. Just felt like a poor person .

Front desk staff were very helpful, especially Allison. Warm breakfast was nice and a good variety.

Great launching point for Sligo, Leitrim & Donegal on the Wild Atlantic Way

The hotel is really nice, its become my "go to" hotel when im working in the sligo area, after staying in a number of other places. This one is a good balance of price and quality. The rooms are plenty big, beds comfy, its clean, the staff are always lovely and the food is really good. Theres always plenty of room in the car park. The only thing is, its a good distance from sligo town, but that may not be a concern (its not for me). The location is lovely and you get a good view of the surrounding mountains, its also a lovely quiet area.

Outside of town, but beautiful location. The restaurants were good, the rooms were clean and nice. The front desk people were extremely helpful in guiding us to places and things to see and do. Overall, we wished we would have stayed another night and skipped Belfast. Our favorite town next to Galway.

Hotel rustig gelegen op een prachtige locatie. Het hotel heeft veel faciliteiten zoals massages, zwembad, bar,…. Het personeel is zeer vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Parking was gratis. Het hotel bevind zich niet ver van het centrum en van de zee. Het uitzicht was echt subliem! Mijn kamer had uitzicht over de bergen. Een echte aanrader! Ik ga zeker terug!

With the price we paid (300€ / night) we could have expected a superior quality. Standard rooms are not large, those ones close to the Lobby are very noisy (Radisson organises a lot of Weddings). The pool is ok, but not charming, breakfast is good but not great. Staff is very friendly. The most positive evaluation. If you want an experience in the Region go to Rosses point (3minutes) You will find charming Hotels for the half price.

Located ten minutes outside Sligo town with great views of the sea and mountains (if the weather is clear!). good taxi service.Good leisure facility though steam room was out of order. Clean and comfortable. Good breakfast. Bar lacks a bit of atmosphere and character.

Lovely hotel. Helpful staff. Fantastic breakfast with great choices. Evening dining menu was the only downside- limited menu and pizzas were made from pre-bought bases.

1- sheet on bed was to small and come off during sleep which is uncomfortable 2- both evenings in restaurant staff were forgetful, took a while to order, refill of water was forgot both nights, charcuterie board is below average for the price, jars olives and toasted wheaten, meats are clearly just sandwich fillings, not worth the money. Second night, steak was dreadful quality and again staff forgot that we asked for dessert menu, so we gave up after 20 mins, we would of got dessert and more drinks if staff were better. Over all just lacking in important areas

The hotel was clean, convenient to visit sights nearby, and comfortable. The staff were mostly very helpful and friendly - only had one server that wasn’t great. The food was ok but we found desserts overpriced for what they were.

Hotel was ok, very busy with long queue for breakfast and running low on some hot food items in the buffet. Dinner was all right, not great, and it was quite cold in the restaurant. Staff helpful.
