Super cute and check in couldn’t have been easier as they send you a text directly to your phone with the room code! Also, the outdoor area with the fire pit was lovely, as well as the food truck-turned coffee bar. Definitely recommend!

I like the overall Adirondack hotel style and the location in town. Easy walkability to everything. The hotel room was well-designed and cute. The parking and driveway were difficult but manageable. There was no ice machine, Laundry, or lobby, the first two would have made the stay a lot easier. Overall, I like the property but it was differently not handicap accessible. Anyone with mobility issues will not be able to access the rooms, due to the 12" step at the door.

Loved everything about this place. Unique, newly renovated, refreshingly original (it may not have coffee station in the room, but therefor it has an old remodeled food truck outside with everything one would need! Including a cozy vibe and seating). Rooms are very clean and have all one would need, including new TVs - able to stream prime, free Netflix ecc.. Staff is very friendly and quick to respond. Would stay here again anytime!

What a great find! The Boha has all kinds of traditional Adirondack charm yet the rooms are all nicely renovated and modern. The room was very comfortable and clean, the perfect size and space for a couple. I loved the common area in the back of the property - they have a refurbished authentic food truck from the Olympics that serves as their self-serve coffee house and a lovely outdoor seating area with a fire pit. Yuri was very easy to work with. He proactively texted me on the day of check-in confirming our arrival with all the details we needed to access our room. And he was available for questions with lightning quick response. I really liked that the doors are coded and you don't have to keep up with a key card. The staff is very accommodating. We'll definitely stay here again!

It’s renovated and clean property, however if you are in the first floor prepare to hear every single noise and steps upstairs. Plus, it would be great to have any additional space or small reception. it’s a modern type motel.

Room was as described on line. The check in process on cell phone went well. Clean with modern decor. Great location could walk easily down town. Appreciate the coffee maker, air conditioner, very hot the days we were there! No ice machine or general lobby or lounge for guests. Compared to similar priced rooms in area, seemed better than the others.

Perfect place to explore Lake Placid and or ski at Whiteface. Rooms were beautiful and the beds were amazing. Only tough thing is parking around the building but we were always able to get a spot and with the space available it is the best it can get. We will definitely be returning here on future trips.

This has got to be the cleanest hotel we have ever stayed in! Rooms are so clean. Never have we stayed here and had any issues, I have asthma and have to be careful with cleaning products, fabric softeners and I have never had an issue here! Check in is so easy, staff is very accommodating, this is our favorite place to stay. Will definitely return.

Pros: easy check-in/check-out, ideal location, easy parking, in room kitchenette with large fridge/freezer Cons: furniture was stained, one of the armchairs was broken, room smelled like dogs, really thin walls made it difficult to sleep, extremely overpriced Overall: Was disappointed by the cleanliness and especially the value for money. Would not stay again.

Fairly newly renovated - but looks nicer in the photos than in person. Maybe it's because I am familiar with high end construction, but there was small things I noticed like missing caulk in the bathtub, messy grout and caulking jobs, and broken tile in our bathroom showing me the renovations weren't the best workmanship. It was more cosmetic than quality updates. Still, the bed was fine and it's nicer than similar motels and, for the price, it was reasonably nice. Be aware, there is no check in - we received a text with our code to open the door and WIFI info, which worked fine. As prior reviews have noted, if you are on the second floor, you will have to take the stairs. A few notes to the property owners: 1. We were assigned room 22 which was at the very end on the top floor. Our outside light by our door was out, so hopefully it's been fixed now. There was no light around the side by the stairs either (or it was out) which seems like a bit of a safety hazard. 2. The floor in our room was sticky. I am guessing it was from whatever is being used to clean the floors. 3. Someone had written "eyeballs" on the wall next to the mirror in the bathroom - it would be pretty easy to paint over that. Not exactly what you want to see when you are in a hotel bathroom. 4. As noted above, there was a section of caulking between the bathtub and shower tile missing - this will eventually cause mold if not corrected. There was also a broken tile next to the shower door.

I stayed in room 10, the room looked nice upon arrival. I did not have time to check things out when I just got there due to having to be at a church mass for my dad at 5:30. When I got back to my room at 9 after dinner. I was getting ready for bed & would have liked to sleep in the bed closest to the door & it was uneven I’m not sure if it was off the platform? So went to the other bed pulled down the blanket & there was black lint fuzz in the bed!The bed was very uncomfortable & hard ,pillows were flat. In the bathroom on the back of the back splash my the sink was blue toothpaste! Refrigerator was questionable if it was wiped down. The 2 things that were nice was the tv I had it on the fireplace setting from YouTube & the coffee maker.

I chose The Boha as a value option and was very pleased with not only how comfortable and clean my room was but with how perfect the location was. The easy walk into Lake Placid made my stay very enjoyable.

Very well accommodated room almost like a euro chalet feel. Super comfy bed and very nice shower. I had some work to do and the WiFi was strong and stable.

The room was nice, clean and had all the necessities. The bed was a little hard to my liking and we were not expecting an inn or motel style building. I could hear every single word spoken in the room next to me and that made us uncomfortable.

Room was clean and adequate, but I was disappointed that there was no housekeeping during our stay. The location was great, but the walls were very thin so we heard the neighbours a lot.

When we got there our room was not ready but problem was resolved quickly. We were given another room. Everything is done through phone and text which we didn’t mind. Needs were responded to quickly .Very small rooms and beds. Thought we were getting queen beds, they were full sized. Close walk to town. Housekeeping available upon request.

It’s a nice place overall; I would try to get a room on the second floor bc we didn’t sleep much both nights with people walking and stomping & literally sliding furniture around in the room directly above us from 1230-3am both nights :(

Everything was good except had a problem with the streaming TV and accessing the IT code so could not watch with my account. Also there was a fly in the room. Not the hotel's fault just made stay annoying

Room was very clean and well-appointed. Parking on-site. Not right downtown but easily walkable to restaurants, etc. Some issues with wi-fi. Staff responded quickly but issues persisted.

Check in was very easy and the room was clean. Everything worked out well. Limited amenities but understood when booking. Hosts did an excellent job communicating and property was in great shape.

We checked into our room at about 4:30pm, noticed both beds looked like they were slept in and then made. There was dog hair, human hair, and a little brown stains on the bed linen. The table had drink and food stains. The TV wasn't working. We called the hosts and didn't get a response; realized instructions stated that texting would get us a quicker reply. So we texted with an explanation of the issue, and someone texted back within 5 minutes to say they would be sending the house keeper, and another person to fix the TV. They said the house keeper would get to the property within 1.5 hours, and we would be informed once they got a hold of the TV person. My partner and I decided to go out for food thinking that by the time we got back, the issue would either be resolved, or close to it. When we got back 2hrs later, we realized no one had came. I reached out to the host again by text and was told the housekeeper was on the way, but they couldn't get ahold of the TV person. We waited patiently for about another hour or two, feeling quite uncomfortable, unable to watch TV, unwilling to sit / lie on the bed. Again, i texted the host. By now, it was after 9pm and we were tired. I decided to ask if we could get another room before this grew into frustration. The host called me, told me there was a similar room available 2 doors down, and we changed our room. Koodos for resolving, but I'm surprised it wasn't offered. Still, the property is beautiful, peaceful, affordable.

We waited patiently for about another hour or two, feeling quite uncomfortable, unable to watch TV, unwilling to sit / lie on the bed. Again, i texted the host. By now, it was after 9pm and we were tired. I decided to ask if we could get another room before this grew into frustration. The host called me, told me there was a similar room available 2 doors down, and we changed our room. Koodos for resolving, but I'm surprised it wasn't offered. Still, the property is beautiful, peaceful, affordable.

The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. They have self check in. We couldn’t find our check in information and code to get in. We called several times and waited 30 minutes-no one ever called. Thank goodness my husband finally found the text was sent to his phone and not mine. Never heard from the Boha to help.

Fun, funky modern decor. Great location. Easy parking. A few sitting areas outside to enjoy morning coffee or a beverage in the afternoon. Downfull was no staff or support available, on site or even by phone. We where locked out of our unit. Message said"code expired " I couldn't reach anyone by phone. Everything we needed was inside the room, otherwise we would have tryed to get a different accommodation for the night. Luckily enough I found a window I was able to force open. My husband just had a hip replaced, we are bith over 70 and wearing on dress clothes for the evening. I did manage to get through the window without alot of damage to my clothes and self. Of course I landed on my head. It could have been a lot worse. My BNE experience is an adventure to talk about. The take home message is that anyone could get away with breaking into those rooms. No follow up or apology from the company. They call themselves a 5 star facilitie. I don't think so. Service and consideration gives you the rating of 5 stars. We are not beginners. We stayed in hotels for more than 60 nights this year alone. Seniors traveling while we still are able. Including crawling through windows. 5 star, I don't think so. The rooms were nice, well designed and clean. Thats half of the battle anyway.

Easy to booked - waited and had to call for room number and passcode (girl on phone super helpful and quick) we were in a very clean and pleasant room. There is no front desk ( believe it’s in the works) but would be great in meantime if there was an ice machine- but bed was super comfortable and everything felt new and fresh! Loved the decor and shower pressure was good! Would recommend to anyone asking about places to stay in Lake Placid, to book here!

We had a wonderful stay at the Boha Hotel! Check in was easy as they sent us the code before hand. Our room was spacious and most importantly clean. Its newly renovated so the rooms are really cute! There’s a fridge,freezer, microwave, coffee machine and large tv in the room for your convenience. Its a 5 min walk to the downtown area and the views are beautiful. Lots of shops and restaurants for you to explore!

I chose The Boha as a value option and was very pleased with not only how comfortable and clean my room was but with how perfect the location was. The easy walk into Lake Placid made my stay very enjoyable.

Quaint room. Excellent hot shower with strong pressure. Thin walls and floors so noise from others could be an issue. Although the walk is doable, not super close to the main area and certainly not enjoyable in cold or very hot weather.

I loved this place and would highly recommend it. You get an entry code to your room so no need for waiting at the reception. Room is very tastefully decorated, clean and very comfortable. It is 10 min walk to the Main Street where all the shops and dining is. The ski shuttle stops almost across the street and on the way back from the mountain drop off is in front of the Boha hotel. I am definitely going to stay here again.

Super cute and check in couldn’t have been easier as they send you a text directly to your phone with the room code! Also, the outdoor area with the fire pit was lovely, as well as the food truck-turned coffee bar. Definitely recommend!

The room was exceptionally clean and the check in process went smoothly. Our host was easily accessible via text message before, during, and after the stay. The location of the hotel is walkable to restaurants and stores, but the property is still quiet and peaceful at night. The fire pit was lovely and the kitchenette was unique and useful- the Ninja oven and Instant Pot allow you to cook gourmet meals in your hotel room. We enjoyed the coffee and water area. This is much better than your traditional hotel stay experience. Our only issue is that we could not stay longer! We were very pleased and will be back again.

Including a cozy vibe and seating). Rooms are very clean and have all one would need, including new TVs - able to stream prime, free Netflix ecc.. Staff is very friendly and quick to respond. Would stay here again anytime!

What a great find! The Boha has all kinds of traditional Adirondack charm yet the rooms are all nicely renovated and modern. The room was very comfortable and clean, the perfect size and space for a couple. I loved the common area in the back of the property - they have a refurbished authentic food truck from the Olympics that serves as their self-serve coffee house and a lovely outdoor seating area with a fire pit. Yuri was very easy to work with. He proactively texted me on the day of check-in confirming our arrival with all the details we needed to access our room. And he was available for questions with lightning quick response. I really liked that the doors are coded and you don't have to keep up with a key card. The staff is very accommodating. We'll definitely stay here again!

Room was as described on line. The check in process on cell phone went well. Clean with modern decor. Great location could walk easily down town. Appreciate the coffee maker, air conditioner, very hot the days we were there! No ice machine or general lobby or lounge for guests. The Boha Hotel was a wonderful place to stay on a budget. It’s well maintained, clean and they do provide you with all the basic beddings,/toiletries you need. Don’t expect to have a kitchen or microwave in your room as this place is run as a self-serve basis. There is a camper outside next to the lodge where there is a self-serve microwave, a Keurig coffee with one flavoured pod with coffee creamer or some tea selections with a hot/cold/cool water dispensing machine, and some condiments available. There is a toaster if you bring your own donuts or sliced bread. When you book with The Boha Hotel via Expedia, they will send you your room number and PIN to access your room. When you arrive at The Boha Hotel there will not be a registration desk or someone to greet you, but there is a sign in front of the lodge indicating how you can access your room with the email they send you. Due to COVID-19 issues, the lodge has become a self-serve basis. There is also parking all around the premises, and a fire-pit at the back with some Muskoka chairs, and a gas stainless steel BBQ to use. Overall classic building with some modernized top upgrades inside. We were fortunate to meet one of the staff maintaining the building there, and he immediately addressed our concerns by calling management on his cell phone. A great choice if you are on a budget to stay closer in walking distance to Lake Placid shopping and restaurants. Great job to The Boha Team, and can recommend!

It’s a lovely motel, though definitely a motel rather than a hotel despite the name. Unfortunately, the communication was frustrating. The welcome messages feel almost personal, signed with the owners’ first names and a number to text with anything you need, but are automated. That’s fine, IF the information is accurate and the promised help materializes. Before arriving, I asked about leaving my luggage since I’d arrive early after 7 hours of travel without a car. They said there was a “high chance” my room would be ready and, if not, “you can leave your luggage at the reception building, no worries, we got you.” Upon arrival, I was instead told there was no front desk or luggage storage. The “lounge” they suggested waiting in was half-finished, with boxes stacked inside. My King Studio kitchenette had a cutting board and cooking utensils, but no cooking knife. I asked for one and was explicitly told housekeeping would “provide you with a cooking knife shortly.” They arrived with two table knives already in the room. When I followed up, saying I could wait until the next day, I was simply told there were no cooking knives available. With a kitchenette and cutting board, how is basic knife not something the property can provide? The next morning came another message: “Anything you need... We’re always here and happy to help!” After these experiences, that rang rather hollow. Less automated hospitality language and more accurate info and follow-through would go a long way.
