The place was absolutely quaint and peaceful. A great little get away from the hustle and bustle of every day life. Plan to disconnect from technology, and enjoy the beauty of nature. We loved the layout of the cabin, and especially the great kitchen space.

The cabin was very charming and rustic, clean and equipped. We were lucky enough to visit when there was snow and got the full winter wonderland experience. The kitchen had all cooking necessities and the gas fireplace was a nice touch. Would definitely go back.

The check-in was very easy, we received the code before leaving and punched it in when we arrived and had no issues. The fireplace in the living room had a remote, and you could set the thermostat from the wall. It is a great location, a very quiet spot in the woods, we even saw deer in the back yard, but also close to town and local events. The kitchen has everything you need, and the bed was very comfortable. It was the perfect blend of rustic with all the modern conveniences.

Lovely cabin with all the amenities in a great location. We had a great time hiking, swimming, and kayaking at Rickett's Glen, then returning to nice air conditioning and a proper shower and bath! 😁

Our stay at the cabin was nice and relaxing. We've arrived later in the night on the day of our check in. Everything was well stocked with supplies and a lot of ample room that the cabin have. We were mostly out of the cabin during the daytime but when night time came we stayed outside and make use of the firepit. It did rain on one day but it was nice to hear the rain drop down on the cabin. Jessica was very nice and had no issues with communications and was very quick to respond. She provided us with linens at a cost once getting closer to our trip date. Firewood is provided as well and for a cost. The only complain I have is cell service but as long you have an iphone you can still send txt over wifi. For those who have an android will have some difficulty getting service. Overall the place is nice, quaint and a fun place to stay to relax.

We so enjoyed our stay in the woods in this sweet little cabin! The kitchen had everything you need to prepare a family dinner after a day of hiking at beautiful Ricketts Glen State Park. Our family enjoyed playing the host-provided board games and just relaxing. We slept well in the comfortable beds. We'd come back in a heartbeat!

My husband and I came here for our anniversary. Cabin is amazing. Clean, cozy, secluded (but close to the state parks) everything you need. Property is gorgeous and well taken care of. Jessica checked in to make sure all was well. We had a wonderful time and would definitely book again.

We have stayed in many cabins in the Poconos over the years and this one was by far the best! Clean, rustic, comfortable, charming, excellent hosts--the works! Highly recommend!

This cabin was the perfect spot for an anniversary trip! Relax in the cabin away from hustle and bustle, enjoy nature, hike near by, or head into town for antique shopping! The cabin was tastefully decorated ,well kept, had a welcoming atmosphere and very clean! Highly recommend!

Great property! Very nice location close to Ricketts Glenn State Park. Cabin is beautiful and owners have great communication. My teenage son and I enjoyed a day of hiking and then relaxed by the outdoor fire pit. Owners had a binder in the cabin with all local restaurants, grocery stores, and neighborhood information including their contact information which I thought was great. We really enjoyed our stay!

My family and I had a great tims at your cabin. It was decorated so nice and very clean! The kids loved making smores and being outside. We saw a deer when we came in the driveway! Such a nice cabin feeling, when I think of a cabin stay this is the place I envision!

The cabin was all we hoped it would be and more! We were celebrating our 43rd wedding anniversary. While the weather was very rainy for our long weekend, it only added to the charm of the cabin. Listening to the rain on the tin roof while working on a puzzle together somehow made the cabin more inviting, enchanting and cozy. The kitchen was very well stocked and the view out the back window was amazing. We didn’t get to use the inviting fire pit but the whirlpool tub was so delightful after a short 4 mile hike we did squeak in between raindrops. Our weekend away was a delight and so relaxing. We felt the demands of life just drift away while staying in your cabin! Thank you for a memorable time!!

Such a wonderful, relaxing cabin. I'm never sure when booking a new place whether the property is photographed to appear private but is really not. This couldn't have been more beautiful. It's on a large lot in the woods by itself. We can't wait to go back!

The cabin was cozy and comfortably furnished, so cute! Close to Ricketts Glen State Park where we spent a full day hiking and photographing 18 of the 21 waterfalls. We would love to return to this beautiful area.

The property owners do a fantastic job! They had everything clean, organized, in place for a great stay. The location/neighborhood rating of 4/5 is simply due to highway noise and dogs barking in the distance. The cabin is a short drive to Ricketts Glen which was a destination of ours for some time, and we're grateful we finally made it there.

It was a bit close to the highway and there where a couple of things that didn't seem finished in the house but overall very nice place to stay and we where able to see deer wandering through the front of the property!

Spent a night in the cabin with my girlfriend to get away from the city for a night. Location to Rickets Glen State Park is amazing. I highly suggest doing the main waterfall trail there. Takes about 3 hours with moderate difficulty due to a lot of steps and slippery surfaces. The cabin definitely has an authentic rustic feel if that’s what you’re looking for. It’s clear they have done/are doing some construction there. The fire pit is a really nice one, but the beds could use some help. Also the whole you need to bring your own sheets/towels unless you want to pay a fee is a little weird, I haven’t seen that before. But we did and it was all good. The best feature was definitely the loft but we didn’t get to make use of it since the larger bed is downstairs. All in all a great getaway to the woods!

Our stay at Black Bear was just what we needed! Jess was a wonderful host. She checked in on our stay and made sure we felt comfortable. After hiking all day, relaxing at the cottage was perfect! We were able to unplug and relax. We will definitely come back next time we visit the area.

I will start by saying that the cabin was quaint, clean and comfortable. The heat is rather loud, but we adjusted to it after the 1st night. The cooking pans should also probably be replaced as they were nonstick but showed some wear. Unfortunately, I had a very unpleasant exchange after we left some items behind. I expressed that I thought the extra fee plus shipping was excessive. When I shared this with the owner, she berated me for leaving things behind. She complained that she had to "store" the items at her house, pack them and then had to drive to the post office on a Saturday. She oddly insinuated that we left them behind on purpose or something. If she would have just kindly explained that she had to drive a distance to pick the items up and then ship them, I would have been more understanding. What would/should have been a nice memory of our annual winter stay at a cabin, is instead replaced with an unkind exchange with the owner.

Clean and so very sweet. Quintessential cabin! Host was very courteous and communicative. Easy drive to Ricketts Glen. Note - Most things close around 5-6pm on weeknights. We suggest bringing food if you will arrive late. Thanks very much Jennifer!

This cabin is beautiful and secluded, just what we needed!! Hiking, beautiful scenery, lots to eat and do!! Wineries!!! A nice firepit to enjoy!! We had a wonderful time and the host checked in on us after the first night to see if we needed anything. That was very nice! We will be back!!

Property was exactly as described! Quaint cabin in the woods. Only about 13 minutes from Ricketts Glenn, it was a great place to have a fire in the outdoor firepit before bed after a nice day hiking the falls trail.
Property was exactly as described! Quaint cabin in the woods. Only about 13 minutes from Ricketts Glenn, it was a great place to have a fire in the outdoor firepit before bed after a nice day hiking the falls trail.

Very nice home in a very convient location for some incredible waterfall chasing!! Once in the home you have the feeling of being "in the woods" very peacefull while being just off the road. Definetly a great location for a couples getaway!! We hope to return in the future!

My girlfriend and I enjoyed our stay this cabin. It was very close to Ricketts Glen, and World’s End State Park, which was terrific. All the amenities went above and beyond what we expected as well. Especially nice during the fall season!

Such a wonderful, relaxing cabin. I'm never sure when booking a new place whether the property is photographed to appear private but is really not. This couldn't have been more beautiful. It's on a large lot in the woods by itself. We can't wait to go back!

The property owners do a fantastic job! They had everything clean, organized, in place for a great stay. The location/neighborhood rating of 4/5 is simply due to highway noise and dogs barking in the distance. The cabin is a short drive to Ricketts Glen which was a destination of ours for some time, and we're grateful we finally made it there.

It was a bit close to the highway and there where a couple of things that didn't seem finished in the house but overall very nice place to stay and we where able to see deer wandering through the front of the property!

Adorable cabin very close to incredible hiking at Ricketts Glen State Park. Had a great stay! FYI there is a linen rental fee, which we missed in the listing, but luckily the owner was pro active in asking us if we needed them (which we did as we were traveling out of state).

Cabin was great! Clean and no bugs or insects on the inside. Had everything one needs. Very simple, very uncluttered interior and peaceful setting. We appreciated the rustic feel of the cabin and the convenience of the propane fireplace and stove. Would definitely stay again.
