We didn't have any issues with the property itself, clean and everything was working. I had messaged about the coffee maker and never got a response (it's drip btw). The tub in the pictures is now a large shower, which we actually preferred. Lots of hiking near by and hot tub were our big selling points.

It was good for one night. We had to change cabins because our hot tub didn’t work and thought we were getting a tub inside the cabin but didn’t. Shower was nice in the first cabin perfect for two people but second cabin was tiny shower. Couch was broke in second cabin.

My husband and I had a very enjoyable night’s stay at the Old Moonshiner’s Cabin. We were surprised by its charming new paint job and the spacious shower that overlooks (if you want it to) the beautiful wooded surroundings. We would’ve liked updated instructions for the fireplace, since the ones from the QR code didn’t load. everything else

We had a wonderful stay. However the pictures and description of the cabin are not accurate. They don’t have a jacuzzi tub as stated. When we got in shower there was a dirty washcloth hanging. We had a nice relaxing weekend . Just wish we got what we thought we were paying for.

It’s a nice little cabin! It was very cozy and we were comfortable there for our wedding anniversary. We were surprised when we got there, it has been updated since the photos of the listing were taken. There is now a shower rather than the spa tub in the bedroom, which is lovely. The shower steam spreads throughout the entire cabin though. The ceiling fan in the bedroom also doesn’t work, which allowed the steam to sit for longer. “Basic soaps” are hand soap and dish soap, so bring your own shower soaps! We were hoping for hotel like shampoo or body wash to be included in basic soaps. Overall though a very nice stay in a great little cluster of small cabins. We will be back for sure!

We only stayed 1 night now wishing I had booked 2 nights for the area. The cabin is a cute little place. My only complaint was the bedding. Take your own pillows a mattress pad if you have back issues. Otherwise I loved every minute of my stay. If I'm ever back in this area I would rent the same cabin again.

Exactly as advertised and a perfect cabin getaway for 2 plus a dog. Great spot out in the woods, perfect for a long weekend. Host was very quick to respond and fix the small maintenance issue we experienced (shower didn't shut off but was resolved very quickly). 100% would recommend and book again.

My wife and I found this gem on VRBO. We had never been there and the description is precise! The pictures are up to date, communication is fast, the place is clean, and the amenities listed are exact! We had a bad thunderstorm our first night and it knocked the power out, the management communicated restoration happily to us. Upon power returning, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay! We will visit again, as the things to explore in the area will take longer than a couple weeks, let alone the 3 nights we stayed! Do yourself a favor, check it out for yourself, you will NOT be disappointed!!! The price is more than competitive as well! Thank you Colonels Quarters, for a memorable time, we will not forget, we will be back, and we will tell our friends and anyone that asks about somewhere to get away!

My husband and I spent a weekend here for our 10th anniversary and had an absolutely wonderful time! The cabin is very charming and perfect for a couple looking for a quiet, relaxing time together. The location was easy to get to. We visited Hocking Hills Winery and the local antique mall, which were both very close by. This will be our go to place when visiting Hocking Hills in the future!

Very nice cabin . I loved how easy it was to access the property. The decor was a nice touch and the hot tub was wonderful. Will definitely be coming back soon.

you get what you pay for but I thought at least the place would be clean... everything was covered in dust and pet hair. The odor from the bathroom was pretty bad as well.
