The bar on site is not open. There is no discount on parking. Hotel apparently has recently changed ownership. The advertisment needs updating!! Rooms at the rear of the property are very noisy. No glazing as an old hotel. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was excellent.

There was no bar. There is no discount on parking. All are advertised!!! A room at the back has no double glazing and the bars nearby empty their bins at 2am and 4am. So noisy. The staff are lovely and the breakfast was excellent.

Room was bad. Cut nails on the floor, we found a piece of glass on the floor with other rubish. Night staff were polite and nice. Also no shower gel in the bathroom, i came 11pm and night staff had to refill it at night as it was empty. Also some creatures running on the floor in the bathroom ( have video ) so unfortunately worst experience. Breakfast… hmm ok, but daughter was upset as chose this hotel as she saw pancakes in the photos, breakfast photos, which hotel does not do!!!!! In the end, location and staff are great, rest…. Not even worth 2 stars unfortunately!!! And i am staying well over 30 hotels a year due to work. Realy disappointed!!!

Would not recommend/stay again. There were a few things I was willing to overlook and write them off as local charm, but my biggest issue was with the way they provide luggage storage "service". You can leave you luggage with the concierge on the day you check-out, but it will cost you £5 per bag per hour! So there were three of us, suitcase each and one backpack would've cost us over £90 to keep our bags there until 7pm train. Which is absolutely ridiculous. Other things to be aware off: the rooms face the main street, which gets very noisy at night - we were treated to a karaoke competition well into after midnight. The hotel is advertised as having AC, but it did not feel like it was working, the room got very stuffy and we could not open the windows because of the noise. The situation with elevators is a bit ridiculous, too. But once again, I would've overlooked all of it, if it wasn't for the luggage policy. As it is 2 stars.
