Das Hotel ist soweit sehr gut und liegt sehr nah am Kölner Dom. Einziger negativ Punkt für mich: die Tiefgarage ist sehr eng und kostet 30€ für den Tag (Stand Januar 2024). Hier hätte ich mir gewünscht, dass der Preis für Hotelgäste etwas günstiger wäre.

Funny being in an American themed hotel in Germany. But the rooms and service certainly met our American expectations. After a day of drinking tasty beer, it was nice to tuck into a bourbon nightcap in their bourbon bar.

Some hotels make the guest experience unnecessarily difficult. My flight to Köln was very early, with arrival around 08:00 AM. I know this is not official check-in time, but when a hotel has availability from the previous night, it is reasonable to expect some flexibility for exhausted guests. I contacted the hotel through hotels.com messaging before arrival. Most emails were ignored, and the only reply was a standard message saying early check-in could not be guaranteed. One day before arrival, there was no response at all. Before arriving, I checked hotels.com and saw at least five available rooms in my booked category, Deluxe Room with one King Bed. Despite this, no room was allocated. The explanation about housekeeping meetings starting at 11:30 was unconvincing, and no alternatives or conditions were offered. The location is central, close to the Central Train Station and the Dom. The room was worn out but the bed was comfortable. We were given a first-floor room with no view. There were no amenities, not even slippers, which must be requested separately. Slow elevators, average breakfast, and an overall cold and unfriendly attitude made this a disappointing stay. The only positive note was the friendly lady at the egg station.

The Concierge Lounge is the best of the Marriott properties I have ever been to in terms of selection. Terrific. Staff was phenomenal at Lounge also.

The property and staff were excellent five minutes away from Central Station 10 minute walk if that to the cathedral and other destinations half an hour walk to the chocolate factory and to the mustard museum crossing the bridge to the cathedral is the locks bridge plenty to do around the area short distant walk to most restaurants if Location is your key this is the place Also the gym is really nice. It’s a nice workout facility. We were extremely pleased with everything and would highly recommend this location. We will be returning in two years and mark this down as a place to rebook.

The breakfast selection was quite limited and rather expensive at €32 per person - not good value for money. Additionally, a cleaning cloth was left on the desk in my room for two days. It was only removed after I placed it next to the used towel on the third day, which was disappointing.

Ein in die Jahre gekommenes Hotel mit freundlichem und aufmerksamem Personal. Die Toilette im Zimmer war leider nicht sauber (die Klobrille hatte eindeutige Spuren, die nicht beseitigt werden konnten). Vom Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis waren wir enttäuscht. Wir hatten ein größeres Zimmer erwartet und eine Badewanne wäre schön gewesen.

Vermutlich ist es etwas schief gelaufen. Aber uns wurde gesagt, man macht es möglich, dass wir 12:30/13:00 Uhr einchecken können. Dort angekommen hieß es aber, leider nur für Member Mitglieder… diese haben Vorrang. Ansonsten war alles ok für eine Nacht. Das Frühstück haben wir nicht genommen, weil wir es für 32€ zu teuer fanden. Die Zimmer sind etwas in die Jahre gekommen. Unser Bad war nicht sauber. Nachdem wir Bescheid gesagt hatten, wurde da nochmal nachgebessert.

The room was spacious and spotless, though the furnishings and wallpaper were a tad tired. The breakfast and bar were very good and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The Hotel is coveniently located in the middle of the old town, 5 minutes walk from Cologne Central, Station, the Cathedral, the Ludwig Museum and walkways along the River Rhine. There is a taxi rank right outside the Hotel, making it simple to access the airport quickly.

The location is great, very close to the central station. The room size is good too. However, we did not sleep well as we were given a room facing the street on the ground level and could here all the noises from the street all night. We requested for a different room but the staff said they could not do so. We were not sure if it was because we booked though Expedia instead of directly from the hotel, even though we have a membership with Marriott. We were deeply disappointed even though we had good experience at other locations.

I can tell all was good, the only problem was I booked two rooms and one of the AC’s rooms was not working. When I asked the second nitro check the technician just said sorry we can open the windows for you. The results were horrible!! It caused lots of mosquitoes and spiders crawling inside and making the worst scenario!!! Just wondering why they didn’t change the room!!!?

Very good staff! Is the best asset of the hotel. Hotel itself and rooms a bit outdated. My executive Room lacked atmosphere and bathroom a bit small. But overall positive enough impression. Good breakfast. Location very good , within walking distance from Central Railway station and the Cathedral.

Horrible check in. They gave my friend a regular room when he is clearly in a wheelchair. He had to spend 20 minutes wheeling around for no reason after traveling all day. Horrible coffee service in the morning with the breakfast restaurant. Very expensive with very poor service.

Rooms are dated - reminds me of the 80s type. Service was poor with very long queues. Had a 15 minute queue just to extend the keycard validity. Concierge was completely useless and not helping the counter staff who were overwhelmed. Given the price of the rooms, it was easily one of the worst hotels I’ve stayed in recent times. I won’t even recommend this at half the price.

Service ist ausbaufähig - an der Rezeption wurden wir nicht freundlich empfangen und es wurde angezweifelt, dass wir 2 Zimmer in der gleichen Kategorie gebucht hatten. Auch in der Bar war der Service schlecht. Knabbersachen bekamen wir erst nach aktivem Bitten darum. Die Cocktail schmeckten mäßig gut. Einzig allein der Service in der Executive Lounge war abends und am nächsten Morgen hervorragend und sehr aufmerksam. Die Zimmer waren sauber und das Frühstück ganz in Ordnung.

The mixer tap in the sink of bathroom was not working.So, i had to tolerate using just cold water, as the hot water was far too hot to use on its own. With regards to staff, i had requested one of the waiters in the dinning area of the breafast for a couple of toasts and butter.Ten minutes passed by and when i asked her again,her senior interjected by signalling that its buffet.I wish i had been told this before as i was getting late for the meeting.
