This hotel ticked a lot of boxes. The room was clean and functional. We had 4 beds in the room - there was a small bathroom/shower-room. Functional and clean enough. The beds were comfy. Just 1 pillow per bed though. We were not all inclusive but had use of the executive lounge. Breakfast was excellent in the lounge. Also at 9pm they brought out champagne and spirit drinks as well as wine and cheese, crackers and bread and olives. Very nice. Sadly the hotel room was a bit tired and could use some TLC. The pools especially the lazy river were dirty and in need of some repairs. The missing tiles on the floor cut feet and were uncomfortable to walk on. That said the pool had lots of life guards and was VERY safe. Sometimes the rules were too strict - eg kids HAVE to have an adult in the water with them at all times - even teenagers. One annoyance, like most hotels. Not enough sun beds to go round. The hotel staff didn’t remove towels of people who had walked off for hours on end. There needs to be a better system to stop this. To be fair it’s not just this hotel. The beach access is good. Although they make you pay for deck chairs. You get 1 free and if you want/need more there is a cost. Even though we paid extra for the 4 of us in a room!! It seems greedy. Overall a nice hotel. Great access to the beach. A car is highly recommended.

We booked in to the Grande Mercure for 3 nights during our 14 day trip for a bit of a relax with the kids (ages- 9, 10, 11 & 12). This totally hit the spot! We chose the executive level so we'd have access to the breakfast, snacks and drinks throughout the day and it was the best decision we made. It is a huge lounge with tons of space for families. We had great breakfast options and the coffee and drinks throughout the day were exceptional. We did not eat at the main restaurant but enjoyed lunches and one dinner at the Pizza/Waterside restaurant. It was nice to have the executive lounge space to get together with our friends, the kids could play games/cards and the adults were able to snack, read and drink when we weren't at the pool. The rooms were very well appointed and the waterslides, pools, lazy river and beach are all well maintained and easy to access. Of note, kids under 13, must be accompanied by an adult on the big tube waterslide AND in the water. That was a disappointment for us as our kids are all athletic swimmers but needed supervision IN the water at all times. We wished there was a swim test so the lifeguards could identify kids who are capable in the water. This was a very minor thing but did affect how we spent our time. Also of note, if its too windy (which we encountered during our time), there is no ability to open the umbrellas meaning there is next to no shade available at the pool. We had an exceptional meal @ Maruki Pizza a short Uber ride away.
