Pro's, good location, if you wanted to be right in the center of shinjuku with a lot going on. The small Godzilla display in the hotel was neat. Using the luggage transfer service that the hotel offered was not very expensive, and it was worth it. Con's, the laundry room only had. Five washers and five dryers.Oh like 7 washers and dryers with thousands of people staying in the hotel.The dryers didn't work.It would take an hour and a half just to dry your clothes and you had to keep going back and putting money in.Everybody was standing in the laundry room, giving up half their night to wash their clothes. Did not turn out so well. Compared to the other nice hotels, I stayed in kyoto and osaka, I thought their price was high. I was surprised to see in japan that when you leave the hotel out on the street.It wasn't very clean and there were people sitting around on the sidewalks and the curbs. They had the patio terrace closed off with the big godzilla, so you couldn't even go out and look at it.

Room was booked for me by my husband as I was visiting friends over Christmas in Japan. He opted for the VIP room with lounge access. We didn’t stay in the hotel much and was out at night so only used the lounge briefly. I had a glass of champagne and read a book. Excellent location.

Great location in Shinjuku. Godzilla head area closed but you can get a picture from the lobby. Didn’t realize it had laundry and free water dispenser on the lobby floor until we left. Room was clean, bed was good enough and pillows were slightly firm. You book this hotel to be in the area so you’re not traveling around and can explore freely. Overall good experience with staff and hotel for the price we paid.

Friendly staff, good room kept clean (every three days but can also be requested before this) new towels each day. Lobby bar is fun but very expensive. Washer dryer in laundry not really up to the task. Breakfast was great.

I will try and make this review as objective as possible. I paid $150 a night to stay 7 days in late January. The room is small, but this is typical of Tokyo. There is also no closet or drawers. The bed was very firm and uncomfortable and the pillows were also hard (not soft). The staff only came in daily to change the towels and empty the trash can. Only once every 3 days did they make up the bed and clean the room. Perhaps this is standard for Tokyo, but I don't know. Certainly not common in the USA or Europe. The staff is very helpful, and well organized. They answered all of my questions and even helped me coordinate my return travel to the Haneda airport. I was very disappointed that the terrace was closed. I understand that people jumped off of the terrace and as a result it is currently closed, but there should be come compromised on this. They should hire some security and open the terrace for an hour a day just so guests can see Godzilla up close. The current policy on no one entering the terrace is a big disappointment for guests. I am personally not a fan of Shinjuku so in the future I will most likely avoid this area since it is dirtier and filled with party goers. I would rather a quieter more traditional area like Asakusa. But if you want a place to party all nice long Shinjuku is the place to be, and it is nice that the hotel is so close to the metro.

The room wasnt clean, the bathroom had many fungus in the sink and also in the shower area, they dont have smart tv the only things you could see was jappanese programs and the area of the big head of godzilla was closed, which was one of the reasons we stayed at that hotel, the soroundings of that area were super dirty and it felt unsafe because a bunch of persona were harassing girls in the street, also the were many homeless people just outside the hotel and we saw a lot of rats

Every time i travel to Tokyo I will be staying at Gracery Shinjuku. The hotel and its hotel rooms are generally comfortable to stay. But the breakfast price is a bit expensive. Also the room's floor can be vacummed in a more thorough manner, noticable paper or tissue scraps can be found. Other than this I like this hotel, great location.

Great location if you are looking to be in the heart of the action. Rooms are small but functional. Buffet breakfast is great. Bring your own pillow or buy a cheap one from IKEA once you get there as the pillows are awful

Excellent stay, the bathroom was fabulous with a very enjoyable bath- loved the toilet too. The room is tiny but functional. It was well equipped for a few nights in Tokyo. The view was great and the hotel is extremely central with everything on your doorstep.

Great location with (in our room anyway) a very small sleeping area and a nice big bathroom. It's a huge hotel so a bit impersonal in the lobby processing many guests arriving or departing, and the optional breakfast is overpriced, but the room itself was reasonably priced for being right in the center of things in Shinjuku, where there are so many dining and entertainment options. The multilingual staff definitely are helpful and service oriented, you just might have to wait a moment when checking in or having a question for the excellent concierge staff.

Great location and very clean hotel! The staff were wonderful and it’s close to plenty of dining options and public transport. Just note that the area can get noisy at night, and the rooms are on the smaller side. Please note that Godzilla head is closed.

While the room itself was a bit small, it was very clean, comfortable and well appointed. We especially liked the pajamas provided. The hotel is nice and the lobby/lounge area is a great place to hang out. Be prepared, the area of Shinduku is a little gritty, but we felt safe in and around the hotel. We also want to acknowledge the staff. We left our valuables behind in our safe and all were held and recovered the next day.

We were lucky to get a nice person at the hotel reception on our second in person request to have an early check in. They mentioned that if we became hotel members at no cost then we could check in at 11am. An email request a day before had received a negative response which funnily came through rafter we were already in the room.

We asked the staff on a Monday when we needed to forward our luggage to get it to the airport for our flight the following Saturday. They told us it would get there overnight so Friday would work. Come to find out, that’s only to the closer airport, not Narita. So when we came to ship it Friday morning we were informed it wouldn’t get there until Sunday, which was after our flight. We ended up having to take a taxi which cost $200. Had they just asked the question which airport are you going to. We would have known that we needed to do it sooner and could have avoided this. Besides that, the staff just wasn’t as friendly or helpful as other hotels we stayed in during our trip to Japan. The room was fine. It was clean.

The staff are excellent and friendly but the hotel is crappy. I could hear the conversations of the room next to us (loudly) through the bathroom vents. Overcrowded when using the elevators at most times so be prepped to wait in line. Very dirty area around the hotel, trash everywhere and homeless teens (with baseball bats??) drinking in camping chairs outside 24/7. Not sure why thats allowed. The only other positives were the bathtub (gigantic), the city view, and how late things are open (not in the immediate area but close enough - nearby you’ll find 99% tourist traps).

The hotel is really awesome and we got a kick out of staying on the Godzilla floor. The only knock on it is the area. It is in maybe the seediest part of Tokyo and it’s very busy at all hours in the surrounding area.

Have not tried the breakfast yet. Just next to Kabukicho, many restaurants nearby and very closed to the Shinjuku Station and its underground shopping streets, with many shops and restaurants, too. Overall, the hotel is within the bustling area of Shinjuku (Kabukicho). It is very convenient in transportation, food and drinks, entertainment and shopping, etc., even at the night. On the other hand, it is quiet and clean with the hotel. Highly recommended for those who want to feel the city live in Tokyo.

Main attraction is it is a Godzilla hotel. Bathroom is 2 tier bath tub and floor shower. Walkable by 12 to 15 minutes from Shinjuku JR East extrance. Although South East entrance at 20 minutes walking distance is desirable with outside elevator and escalator specially those with heavy suitcases. You cannot miss hotel initially with Cat 3D big billboard atop bldg. Visual from outside East Entrance. Later walk just locate with Godzilla head atop hotel. Lots of restaurants and below hotel is Sizzler Steak house and 711 store. KFC and nearby Quixote Store.

Great hotel in great location. PLUS Godzilla - I mean really! Smallish but very comfortable room - everything you need in the room - hair dyer, slippers, pajamas, fancy toilet haha-and more. SUPER PLUS benefit - a 7/11 right downstairs. Shinjuku is a lively area - so expect some rough edges but THAT'S A REAL CITY! Stay here!
