The Swiftwater

It is a very beautiful and comfortable hotel with great service, great food, and a great indoor/outdoor heated pool. I didn't want to leave! The only con I'd say is that it's on a busy road and I was picturing it located in the country-side, but once you're inside you forget about the outside.

This is a new hotel that is conveniently located near Mt. Pocono. The hotel is well designed, and the decor is stunning. The staff is very friendly and helpful. We stayed on the concierge level, which provided breakfast and sushi, drinks and other snacks at lunch and pre-dinner. The rooms are very clean, with a modern design and a comfortable bed. Numerous outlets for charging (all types). The bathroom is nice with lots of high-end amenities. The glass shower frame could be larger to prevent water from splashing onto the floor. The fitness space is small but has free weights and some equipment. The saltwater pool is not large but it is heated and is both indoor and outdoor. It can get crowded, however, adult-only after 5 PM. On-site restaurant is nice, but there are several close by options within a few miles for variety. Also, only a few miles from Mt Airy Casino for more nighttime entertainment. In short, new hotel, in great location, perfect for short getaway.

Amazing property and staff. Entire site was clean and well maintained. Newer hotel that had many EV chargers which was helpful (unfortunately they were all down during our stay but the staff was incredible in offering to take us to a charger nearby). Highly recommended

Really nice hotel and restaurant. Has a shuttle service to get around a few local spots which was great! Would like to see some activities offered at the hotel to make it feel more like a resort, there was very little to do at the hotel besides the restaurant. Was disappointed in the pool, was very cold water for a year round heated pool. Was difficult to relax with the water so cold. People complained to staff and they were unable to increase. Needs a hot tub and sauna if the pool will not be used. Was also very odd you people were being served actual glassware at the pool patio, seems like a bad accident waiting to happen. Overall nice hotel just needs more to do to be considered a resort and pool needs to be way hotter

My Husband and I really enjoyed our stay. Everyone was so friendly and attentive. The Pool, The concierge lounge and the entire hotel was top notch. We are looking forward to our return.

This is a great hotel. The staff was very friendly and professional. The room was clean. They have strict rules that there be no noise after 10:00 PM, which I was impressed with. The hotel was modern looking. They have an indoor and outdoor pool which you can swim back and forth to. They have a nice restaurant with good service have a eating area outside.

Beautiful , comfortable room. Large screen TV, high quality bedding, bathroom was huge with a zero entry shower and great lighting. Soaps , shampoo and conditioner were all a great scent. They provided slippers and luxury robes. The pool was very inviting. Can go from indoor to outdoor in the pool. Comfortable temperature was able to go right in without having to get used to the water temperature. At night we sat by the fire pit and enjoyed friendly conversation. They provided Lavazza coffee and water any time you want it. Room also had a coffee maker with Starbucks coffee and a small refrigerator. Would definitely recommend and come back. Everyone was very friendly and helpful.

Enjoyed a lovely King bedroom for a convenient 10 minute drive to “The Lodge at mountain springs for a wedding “ also perfect for a weekend getaway to stroudsburg area ! Staff was very friendly and accommodating ! Love the esthetics of the hotel and bar staff! Only inconvenience is no microwaves in the room is a must for certain travelers that don’t want to go to the hotel late at night downstairs to heat up food! Should be an amenity! Hotel gym is perfect and kept clean! Pool and restaurant are great!

Beautiful hotel, attentive, friendly staff. Suite amazing, comfortable bed & pillows, well appointed bathroom with thick towels, plush throw rugs, dyson hair dryer, robes, slippers & rain shower. Good WIFI, plenty of storage (could've used a few more hangers), tastefully decorated. Loved our private pool, however, 2 things-back wall is all glass, looks out to a public grassway. 4 windows are frosted, but the outside door is clear. Luckily they found a privacy screen for us. Also, air & water temp 86, wished it was warmer. This suite entitles access to Concierge Lounge, snacks, beer, drinks,water avail 24/7, light bkfst in AM & 5-7 wine with apps. Very nice. Has public indoor/outdoor pool - only couldn't swim outside in evening, we found water temp too cold, need to work on that. Olivette restaurant, though expensive well worth it. Food delicious, staff attentive & friendly. Desaki hibachi restaurant delicious, fun.

Beautiful hotel. Aesthetics are on point. Ample parking. Concierge is super friendly & helpful from the moment you pull up. Kenny has a great personality and it was a pleasure to be greeted so well. Room layout is fab. Bathroom not directly in view of bed so there is subtle separation. Bathroom is gorgeous with green accents. Wood tones and black hardware is a plus. The shower is SO amazing. Great pressure and temps. Love the modern vibe of the shower drain. One of the best showers I’ve had in a hotel. Soft towels. Luxe robe and slippers to greet you upon exit from shower are a treat. Tech vibes with touchpad to operate lights, TV and temp. Very easy to work. We had a street facing room which gets great light. The bed wasn’t the best to us. Too firm. Great bedding though. Room was spotless. If you need an iron vs steamer, just ask. Everyone was so friendly. Most staff would speak and make nice small talk. Very gracious as well. Front desk didn’t ask us about our stay & IMO that should always be part of the checkout. A hospitality requirement. It’s simple & says a lot without saying much. The indoor pool is too small. Probably should have been a hot tub w/sauna & steam room perhaps. Gym is small but worked for me. While we loved most, I would not book again bc there is too much overhead noise. Wood floors are a nightmare for me in hotels. Too much stomping and shoe clacks. If I stay again it would be concierge top floor only. I need quiet overhead & can’t have such here, sadly

The room smelled bad and there is no way to let fresh air in because the windows can't be open. The staff was very helpful and friendly.

We had an amazing stay at the swiftwater hotel. Everything was great. From the front desk to the cleaners everyone was super friendly. And cleanliness was 10 out of 10. I would definitely go back and recommend this place

Then never clean the room i stay for 4 nights and 5 day

Wonderful facility. We just spent 3 nights there. Staff are very professional. Room was very clean and they clean the rooms daily, which a lot of chain hotels have stopped doing daily cleaning. Smells very fresh.

House Keeping is less than optimal

Had to change rooms because the first one had dirty towels on the sink when I first walked in. The bed had stains and the room was overall so dirty. I have vip access and received nothing from them. Never coming here again

The room was very clean. The bathroom was particularly nice. The staff were friendly and helpful.

Loved the location as it is very easy to get to & will recommend to others. The location does limit food options unless you're willing to drive 15-20 away to other local spots. The dining options on the property are okay but very pricey with smaller portion sizes. Grateful for the VIP Access amenity of a free bottle of wine as I wasn't super impressed with the cocktails at The Olivet. The lobby has ice cold water & good coffee for free which a great touch. The staff and decor are both top tier. I love that it is a smaller hotel so it never felt crowded. However did wish there was a heads up about corporate photo shoots happening during our stay. I wouldnt necessarily stay here with small children but there was a couple of families with small kids but very rarely crossed paths. My 2 gripes were unfortunately whatever room was above us on the 4th floor had guests that had heavy footsteps/shoes and were constantly dropping things (even up until 2:15am) so sleeping wasnt the best. The advertising of "extra sound proofed" rooms as an amenity must mean between walls, not floor to ceiling. Also despite being a booked room of four guests housekeeping never came by to tidy, change garbage etc. We flagged down housekeeping 2x for new towels/bath mat & a refill on shower gel. They only came by 3 hrs before checkout... The rooms were quite comfy. Luxurious bedding & toiletries & very impressed with the bathroom space.

The property was beautiful and well- maintained. The heated pool was small, but clean and neatly monitored. The rooms were esthetically pleasing, but seemed a bit impractical and lacked a certain "flow". For example, the bathroom shower had a stationery glass wall that failed to keep the floor dry. The dual sinks rested on material that also remained wet. There was no microwave or iron in the room, although there was a steamer. Overall, the property was quite beautiful but came off as cosmetic and ill-equipped to meet guest's needs.

The most disappointing experience I have ever had at a so called high end hotel. Beautifully decorated but outside of that a total let down. Horrible experience at Olivet. Food was overpriced and disappointing. Completely disappointing. Waiter great but manager was unprofessional. We had two rooms that were over $400 a night. TVs didn't work entire stay. Rooms were not handicapped proof. My father wasn't able to use the shower because there was no wall bar. Breakfast overpriced and took forever to get water, sugar and jelly. The manager Zuri offered to reimburse us 30% for our lousy experience. I have called twice and chasing her to do as she promised. Very unprofessional. Save your money and go somewhere else. They won't be there long if they dont change something soon.

Pleased with the hotel in general. The one issue is that the noise level was very high from normal walking from the room above..

I booked a king room and they gave me a double bed and said that they didn’t have any King rooms available but that was what I booked weeks ago

We chose the Swiftwater when looking for a nice place to stop on our long drive home. It is nice. However, some things stood out to us during our stay. The bathroom is VERY poorly lit, the fan did not work, and the no-door-on-the-shower situation makes for a very wet bathroom. While it is clear that they want Olivet's (the hotel's restaurant) to be a fine dining experience given the prices and the server attitudes (the kids can get a SMALL basket of waffle fries for $24 if you ask nicely), there were unavailable items on an already small menu, and the main lobby was being vacuumed while we ate during a normal dinner time (the restaurant is open to the front are of the hotel). Lastly, the outdoor space behind the hotel is quaint with fireplaces, comfy seating, and a pool. We thought it would be nice to have after-dinner cocktails out there, but didn't stay long, as we were quite taken aback by the x-rated pool shenanigans. Indeed, they state firmly during check-in that the pool is ADULTS ONLY after 5:00 pm, but we never thought that was because of the NC-17 situation that unfolds. (No, we are not prudes. We just don't prefer public porn with our night cap lol.)

The property sits right on Route 611. It was beautiful to look at but don't look across the street. There is a small building with a hole in the roof and a blue tarp right next to the hole. Next to that is a Dunkin (doughnuts) Behind the hotel is a giant wall and hillside. This is not a resort! This a hotel with two Restaurants $$$. They had no black tea to drink hot or cold. My wife's dinner came out cold. Sunday we were out of the room from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM and our room was not serviced. The workers were very attentive and tried to make things better. My wife did enjoy their pool!

Customer service was terrible

While the property is new there seem to be issues around getting guests checked in on time. Waits of over an hour seemed common. Even after the long wait my room was not fully clean. They seem to have many staff that is inexperienced and in need of training. But the hotel is beautifully decorated especially for the area.

Loved my stay here. Staff were very friendly, attentive and welcoming.

Service was not worth the money. Asked for a bottle of water to my room that took nearly 10 hours. Asked for a toilet repair took nearly 8 hours. To have my car parked by your worker took nearly 1hr.

The fact that it is locally owned and operated can be felt throughout the experience but only in the best ways. The team at The Swiftwater is clearly trained to understand the truest meaning of "hospitality." You truly feel like a guest and not a customer. If you want an experience that is not often found in America, go to The Swiftwater. Congratulations to the owners for taking a risk and executing at such a phenomenal level. Our stay did not start off well. I feel we were treated differently from the other guests coming in. I feel because we used affirm we were treated like we were not worthy of the same quick efficient and courteous response of the agent checking in. We were made to sit and wait while they “ checked “ our room. People who came in after us and who didn’t have a reservation were sent right to their rooms. Then I did not know I needed an extra credit card to “ put on file” in case “ something “ happened to the room. So I only had my debit card on me. My husband who I bought the trip for as a gift had to use his card. And they took my debit card and put it in the card machine twice… it felt suspicious. Then I had to sign paper work saying who I was, my address and phone number, initial all the rules, no one else checking in had to do that. I really felt we were singled out because we booked through hotels.com and used affirm to pay for it we were singled out. We work hard for our money and we pay our bills and we deserve the same treatment as other guests. This was a gift for my husband for our wedding anniversary and that desk agent made us feel uncomfortable. If the room wasn’t as beautiful as it was I would have left and demanded a refund.

Staying at the Swiftwater was an Exceptional experience from beginning to end. It is so beautifully decorated and immaculate. The most wonderful part of all was the friendly and accommodating staff!! Second to none! Would return in a heartbeat!

Nice property, Rooms were clean and beds were comfortable. I wish we knew that the other restaurant was closed Tuesday night. We didn't take advantage of Desaki next door because we were not in the mood for Sushi/Hibatchi. We ended up using Uber. Very close to Mt. Airy Casino

This is a new hotel. It is clean and the staff is very nice. We stayed on the concierge level, which was nice, but not worth the extra $150 per night. We should have done a bit more research and stayed at a hotel with grounds that offered hiking and other attractions. The Swiftwater is situated right on a main road, offering no views of the beautiful mountains and lacking grounds for hiking or outdoor activities. This is a great hotel if you want a clean, modern stay at a new hotel without outdoor activties.

The Swiftwater was clean and elegant. The staff was professional and courteous. We had a fantastic dinner at the Olivet located inside of Swiftwater. Our server Jessica was top notch and the food was delicious. "The Jess" gave us great recommendations and tips regarding the area. We will definitely be returning to this fine establishment.

This is one of the nicest hotels we have ever stayed at and we travel a lot! A little secret hidden in the poconos. Truly a hidden gem. Very clean. Overly friendly and available staff. We had dinner at the hotel restaurant and it was phenomenal. We will definitely be back soon.

Wonderful 3 night stay. Close to many restaurants and enjoyed dining on site. Breakfast was amazing!!! Did not stay on concierge level and still felt upscale all around. Will be back!

Great stay minus the difficulty of being able to eat at their restaurant! We had asked about last seating for dinner that day while we checked in and we made sure to come downstairs to the restaurant five minutes prior to that. However, we were told the restaurant was already closing and we had to drive elsewhere for dinner that night! The pool was amazing, but getting fresh towels at the pool was a bit of a challenge…so try to bring your own down!

Overall, the property was very beautiful, but the dining was limited. There was a fine dining option in the hotel, but it was closed, along with the bar, on Tuesday nights. They have a hibachi restaurant located next door, but it was very expensive and the food was just okay. Other than that, the dining options were not very great in the area.

I felt very tricked by the restaurant. I expected to pay the price for entree breakfast meal listed on the menu. Around $20 a person but instead was charged per small coffee and for the orange juice. This added on $30!! They served it without mentioning that everything was extra. Instead of $40 for breakfast for two, I was charged $84. Also, the dinner the night before was very good but after the gratuity was added on I was then asked by the waitress if I wanted to tip her personally on top of the $44 I had already been charged for the tip. I will not return to the hotel for this reason. It was way beyond what I expected to pay. Dinner and breakfast came to $350.00.

10 Stars! The Swiftwater Hotel exceeded all my expectations! The place is incredibly clean, and the fresh, inviting scent throughout the hotel makes you fall in love the moment you walk in. The customer service is top-notch—every staff member was friendly and helpful. The pool is beautiful and relaxing, and the bar inside is like something out of a dream. Special shoutout to Chris, the best bartender ever! If I could give 10 stars, I would. Highly recommend!

The stay was very nice overall. The hotel staff were great, professional, welcoming, and very knowledgeable. My only complaint is with the seasonal menus. As it was explained to me, not much consideration went into offering vegan or vegetarian options on the current menu, which was disappointing. On a brighter note, we were able to explore the area and found a wonderful restaurant nearby that served an excellent brunch.

We had a great experience. The hospitality of the employee was incredible. Very attentive and quick to serve are needs. The only down side of are experience is that the dinner was bland, it had no flavor and to pay $156.66 for two plaits, half a glass of wine and two cups of Celsius water is over priced. Due to circumstances, there was not enough staff if we wanted to order room service. Paying almost $3,000 for 3 night.
