Extended Stay America Suites - Orange County - Katella Ave

There was a lot of property damage all around. The elevators were all scratched up like vandalism type of scratches. There is the possibility of lead exposure which I did not know of prior to my reservation. The rooms had hard floors which is a cleaner option but I feel as if it wasn’t thoroughly cleaned. There was underwear of the previous person left in the bathroom !!! The staff was nice when they weren’t hiding in the back office or what seemed like a break room off the lobby Won’t be staying there again

There really wasn't much I liked about the property other than a place to sleep. The level of cleanliness does not exist except for the lobby, which again is questionable. The furniture is outdated, the hallways and elevators stink, and there is really no great options as far as "amenities". Small amount of channels on tv, no gym, no pool. Just very nonchalant. I will not be staying here again.

Amazing staff, very good quality the rooms, the kitchen is really a plus!, also the location of the hotel is amazing because is near to freeway and dining options and plenty of parking lot.

The hotel is not seven minutes away from Disney Land more like 15. The outside looked really nice. The inside is very disappointing. Has a odor to it very old. The elevator had graffiti carved into both of them. The hallway smelled very unpleasant. when I first checked into the room, my feet stuck to the floor every step I would take my feet I had to go to target to buy things so that I could clean and mop the floor because I was staying there for an extended period of time and I didn’t want to have to keep stepping on sticky floors. I also got bit by something. I don’t know if it was a spider or what they were also, cobwebs on my ceilings was very old and not anything like it was advertised.

The hotel halls smelled like cigarettes, and they also had a lot of nasty stains. I didn't feel comfortable walking in my room without shoes. Staff was incredible just hotel is a little run down and has no ice machines.

Very nice and close hotel to our location The Honda Center. 15 minute walk. The receptionist allowed us ti check in 2 hours early which gave us additional time to rest. Furniture was a little older. Affordable property.Coffee was good in the morning. No parking or resort fee.

Hotel and rooms inside were old and unappealing. Several sketchy people just loitering around outside at night. Leaks in the lobby ceiling and wasn't raining? Probably from the AC? I wouldn't stay here again.

The carpet was absolutely filthy. Also, kitchen was totally empty and no ice.

The staff was fantastic and very nice the property is very quiet and has plenty of parking. The room itself was clean but it has kind of like a very warm kind of dirty kind of appearance to it because a lot of it is kind of dark and dated and the shower tub looks like it needs a deep cleaning as well. I would stay here if I wanted to save a little money for my time in a hotel room it's better than other hotel rooms I've stayed at but it really is kind of middle of the range kind of appearance and look to it

There were no kitchen supplies at all in the room. Nothing to eat off of or with, no pans to cook anything. There was an iron but no ironing board. "Breakfast bar" consisted of coffee and tea, nothing else. A 24 hour vending machine was advertised but did not exist. When we went to check out at around 7:00 am there was nobody behind the counter. Found the two counter staff standing outside smoking about 10 feet from the entrance. Cigarette butts lying all over the ground right outside the entrance.

We wanted to stay in a decent priced hotel and we thought this one was cheap for the location. Pictures were pretty good and reviews were ok. After our stay, we will not be coming back. The room was not clean, beds were not comfortable and sheets were stained. We had a poor stay.

This location is infested with bed bugs. Do not book here.

The staff was very friendly upon check-in. When going into the room, it had a really bad smell in the hallways. Upon entering the room, one bed was broken, there was a damp smell in the room, the room looked run down and in need of a makeover. The water smelled coming out of the bathroom sink. There was glass broken in the parking area and dog poop around the building.

The room had a terrible odor. The floors were dirty, probably never mopped. The towels smelled like mold. Terrible experience for the price paid.

Roach infestation. 2 roaches in the kitchen and 4 in the bathroom. Disgusting. Never again.

The water heater in our room doesn't work correctly. It's warm for a few seconds minutes, then turns cold and stays cold. The room has a funky smell as well. It is complete with a full-sized fridge but it smelled and looked dirty.

Room had a nice little kitchen. Room was clean. However restroom were a little run down and was little hot water. Overall was a decent room.

Pros: The location is in a plaza where there is a Starbucks, a couple restaurants and a movie theatre. It’s near the freeway Honda center and angels stadium so if you’re going to catch a game or see a concert, it’s super convenient. Cons: it’s really old. The dresser and side table is totally peeling and shows its age. It just looks really cheap. One side table was literally a dining table converted to be a side table. The tv, although is flat screen is old as well. The bathroom isn’t bad but the door was pretty hard to open because it was warped so you had to really slam the door for it to close. The kitchen was usable, the fridge and freezer were cold but the kitchen sink was gross. It was backing up disgusting water from who knows where. It definitely wasn’t from me because I never even used it. At one point it was 1/4 of the way full of water and old food. There is no garbage disposal so I couldn’t even turn that on to get rid of it. The bed was another tragedy. It was uncomfortable and it was sitting on metal stilts that were super squeaky. So if you plan of having any “adult fun” on that bed, your neighbors or anyone walking through the hall will know cause of how loud the squeak is. Lastly the floor was so dirty that just walking barefoot from the shower to the closet, made my feet black. To top it off, there was a night where I came back to the hotel and there were cops removing a squatter. So unless you need a kitchen, I would stay elsewhere.

Stayed here for my college graduation trip to Disneyland. It was extremely convenient as far as location to the parks went. The price for my stay duration was reasonable for a 2-night stay. It was pretty clean overall, the only downside was that our tub faucet had an annoying drippy leak that we could not get to stop. The bed could have been a little more comfy, overall it was tolerable. Our room had an entire mini-kitchen in it (stove, fridge, microwave, and cupboards). Our overall satisfaction with this location was pretty good.

The room was pretty funky and the whole place smells like cigarettes. There was definitely a fair amount of people living in this hotel and smoking cigarettes in their rooms.

Room was dusty and it smelled like marijuana in the room and hallway and the tub was dirty and shower curtain pole was loose. The t.v would keep dimming like the brightness would go down

I stayed here last spring and the room was amazing. This year the bed was super soft and lumpy. The air conditioner sounded like a plane was about to take off it was so loud. Water got shut off one morning without notice.

Very basic bare room. Nothing as described when I was booking. Very close to Honda Center, facility is clean and staff was pleasant. One and Done!

I would not recommend. Bed was way too soft and we didn’t have enough pillows. The bathrooms and the popcorn ceilings made it feel like we were in 1980s. It’s too bad that the owners are not updating their property because the location is fabulous. We did enjoy that we were within walking distance to restaurants and the Honda Center.

I checked in for my reservation and was told they did not have any rooms available due to overbooking. They did not offer to help relocate another hotel. They did not even automatically refund the reservation fee since it was an issue on their part. I contacted customer service, and the hotel "agreed" to waive the reservation fee. This booking was a nightmare.

Got to room late around 10:30 pm after baseball game and was told our room had been given away and they had no more rooms. At first tried to tell me nothing could be done as I booked through a third party and my room was not assigned. I showed my reservation and explained her reasoning did not make sense and my room should not be given away just because of checking in late. Ultimately, I was informed the room assigned to me was not cleaned as the housekeeper was ill and had to leave. My family and I waited 45 minutes in the lobby for her and another lady to go clean the room. Thankful they cleaned it as we were tired and did not want to drive home. However, this should not have happened in the first place.

Love the staff here. They are so patient and supportive.

The front desk gentleman was not friendly. I called and inquired about connecting to wifi. The front desk was not willing to help.

The woman who checked us in was very nice and friendly. The bathroom was dirty, the sink was clogged. The guy in the morning was a mess, his hair was as if he rolled out of bed his shirt was very dirty from food drops very unprofessional.

When i extended the room i stood at the front desk whole Jose restocked the breakfast bar. When he was done. He came to desk and asked me "did you need help with something" later in the conversation he mentioned "tip money". Weirdest interaction I've had in hospitality ever. Upon check out I realized I'd left my small plant behind. I called he said items like plants and pens get thrown out, he repeated that three times. I called back when i realized my very nice writing pen was left behind as well. I'd wondered why he repeated "pens get thrown out" twice. I think it is foolish to assume that is a coincidence. I think Jose is bad at hospitality and most likely condones theft from guest. He is unpolished with poor social and business skills. I never will trust extended stay again.

Jessica at the front desk was Great, Check in/check out was quick. She was very welcoming. We always choose Extended Stay locations when available.

The queen bed had only 1 pillow. It took two front office calls, one in person request, and over 3 hours to get bedding for the fold-out couch bed. The bathtub had long hair still in it from previous customer. There were no grab & go breakfast items as advertised because "they hadn't been delivered yet" and for some reason, the hot water for tea in the lobby was tinted brown.

I had a reservation through Expedia. But when i went to check the front desk told me that they are fully booked and they don’t have any rooms available. She also said that they always get over booked. But i told them that i had a confirmed reservation made a few days back. The receptionist insisted that they had no rooms available and are only honoring reservations made months ago. So after my insistence she decided to check the system for my reservation— and bingo, she saw a room was indeed reserved for me— and i got the room. But wait there is more. The next morning around 9 i hear someone trying to get in my room. Fortunately i had the door latch on so she could not get in. Then she started banging the door. So i get to from bed and open the door— and it’s house keeping— she tells me i was supposed to vacate the room by now. I told her the check out time was 11. She said to call the front desk to clarify. I called the front desk and she said there was an error and the check out time was indeed at 11. It seems to me that the hotel management here was in total disarray. So beware anyone booking this hotel may not have a room as apparently they always get overbooked!

We booked here for the location...being able to walk to Angel Stadium. It was good in that respect. When we arrived, we were greeted by a nice lady who let us check in a little early, however, going up the elevator and walking down the hall we noticed a terrible odor...not sure if it was the cleaning agents, or people smoking or cooking, but it was strong. (One day, someone was actually cooking fish in their room...it was aweful). The room itself looked clean. The bed was comfy, but, missing a few pillows. They gladly gave us a few more at the front desk. The kitchen was clean enough, but, we accidentally spilled some coffee creamer putting it into the refrigerator. We grabbed a towel to clean it up (it was a dark vinyl wood-look flooring). Much to our surprise, the towel was black when we were done! We decided to wipe the whole kitchen area...I don't think it had seen a mop in a while. It's obviously a "budget hotel" so, aside from the cleanliness issues on the floor, we had a pretty good stay.

Easy stay for the Honda Center or Angel Stadium.

I messaged the hotel… it was terrible. As soon as I pulled in, things didn’t seem right. The type of individuals that were customers, seemed to be very unsafe (a lot of packed cars with dogs in the parking lot) the hotel did not look kept up well. The room was very worn and not in good upkeep. There were dogs barking non stop. I did not feel safe with the type of surroundings they allowed to stay there. I left an hour later and booked elsewhere last minute. I would like a refund please.

This is an older hotel and has some wear and tear. But it’s in a convenient location.

Great location, quiet place to stay. Felt very safe staying here. Will be staying here again when I come back to Orange County!

Excellent property close to the freeways

So stayed on 1st floor for a night and shower water neve got hot made a complaint and was tilde no one has ever complained! Why would someone lie their shower is cold? Horrible hotel would neve go back free breakfast is also a dry mini muffin and a granola bar not breakfast more like a cheap snack

This hotel provided a lot of stuff such as Refrigerator with top Freezer, Small Kitchen with stove & microwave, Steam Iron and the table, Hair dryer, TV, and Nice Cabinet. but the bed matters was not grate and I had a back pain the next day, the Website mentioned breakfast included but there was only coffee, tea, some muffins & bars available but the staffs were so friendly.

2 problems with my reservation. First, the room smelled. If we weren\'t so tired that we fell right asleep, we would have moved rooms. Second, the "breakfast" they advertise is coffee and a small, pre-packaged dry muffin.

The hotel advertised breakfast included. All they give is coffee and instant oatmeal. They shouldn't say they offer breakfast.

We chose this property because of the ample parking and free breakfast it offered. Upon arrival we were told the ample parking was limited to only their back wall and single spots. As we had a truck hauling a U-Haul trailer it was difficult to park. The room was not as clean as expected, the toilet paper was wet and the sheets had stains as did the carpet and all the tile was very sticky. We did not find the bed comfortable as it was very hard and gave us a difficult time sleeping. We were awoken by the neighboring room having some "activities" banging against our wall then went down for coffee which was not good and their free breakfast. Turns out the free breakfast consisted of a new Nutri-Grain bar and a muffin. I felt very disappointed that it was even called a free breakfast. Super strange that the elevator down to breakfast had actual bones laying in it. We could not figure out what the bones were nor could the front office staff they simply picked it up and threw it away but they were large bones and it was gross.

When we used the bathroom sink it backed up inthe kitchen sing and the odor was terrible. Their web site said breakfast included but, went we went to the lobby a d asked about breakfast they said they dont include that. We had to drive 10 miles to a restaurant which really angered us.
